I've been to other Whidbey Coffee locations before, but this was my first time to this one. Barista was very friendly and helpful and service was quick. Coffee was very tasty and was reasonably priced. I do come to this area occasionally and now I know that I can rely on this coffee company to provide a solid product with good service. I love this little coffee stand! I ordered 2 - 16 oz. Americanos with extra espresso. No cream. They offered to drop a couple of ice cubes in each since they were super hot! Watered down, plain coffee. Lemon shortbread was good. Sizable amount of buttery crust and quite lemony and tasty. Would not get the white chocolate scone, weird cakey interior and plasticy white chocolate that melted into the flour. Overall decent for a quick pastry and coffee. read more

I was so impressed and satisfied! I ordered a peppermint and white chocolate iced latte and a cobb salad. First off, I'm the kind of person who only ever goes to Starbucks because everywhere I've every lived every other coffee shop was a huge hit or miss, and usually it was a miss. I was reluctant to try this place out, but the food was calling my name, and since I was getting something to eat I figured it wouldn't kill me to try a cup of something. They had a pretty big selection of freshly made salads, all made that morning, and I picked the cobb. It was about $7 ($6 and some kind of change), but I really feel like it was worth it. It was pretty big, and the ingredients really were fresh so it tasted good. (Ever had a good salad made with not fresh ingredients?). The drink it was really impressed me. You can taste the difference when it comes to a good shot of espresso, and damn was my drink made with a few good shots. It was just so good, not too sweet with the syrups, and... just so good. I ended up getting a second when I was done with my salad. I do think their prices are a little high as far as the drinks are concerned, but... if you don't like the prices, don't go there. It's not like there isn't hundreds of other places to choose from. read more

Such a great coffee spot. The inside is decorated beautifully with a huge leafy green wall. Lots of comfy seating around. We got to watch them work the big coffee bean machine while we sipped our coffees. I got an iced caramel macchiato and I loved how it wasn't TOO sweet like a dessert , it was defiantly still coffee. read more

Beautiful coffee shop. The baristas were fairly friendly, the wifi worked perfectly, and there is ample seating. Though I've only been a few times, my complaint would be the baristas don't ask questions about orders they don't understand. Ordered a tea misto with almond milk and honey- and I got a early grey tea. No almond milk, no honey. I just wished they would have asked me to clarify my order if they didn't know what it was. Have been going to The mall location for a long time and like it very much. This new location is very swell looking but for some reason they don't have butter for the scones and the packets of cream cheese for the bagels are not only skimpy but I was not able to open the little packet. Had to get the server to open and she had to find scissors. Will try again in a few weeks. read more

I used to ONLY go to a certain major coffee chain because I could count on their quality every time. I now drive several miles out of my way to go to Whidbey Coffee INSTEAD of that other place. Best things: The staff almost always know exactly what they're doing - fast, efficient, accurate. Drinks are mostly consistent across shifts, stores, and days. They offer good promos and punch cards (with double punch bonus days!) The company/owners and the staff (not just this location) are invested in the community - from matching donations for the Whidbey General MRI, donating tips to Oso relief, and a scholarship contest to donating to the local food bank and being present and engaged in community events - Whidbey Coffee does things that I've noticed - even though that other place asks employees to do the same - I don't quite notice it as much, and they're MUCH bigger. I think they might put it in their coffee in the mornings, but the staff is almost ALWAYS cheerful and pleasant. Everyone has their blah days, except the Whidbey Coffee staff - seriously! Things that aren't quite perfect: Once you're in line here, you're stuck - if you're short on time, you might hold off on coffee or risk being late, 'cause if the guy in front of you orders 37 mochas, you can cool your heels or 4x4 it over the curb/landscaping. Doesn't happen much, but I have had rough mornings when I run late. Different locations have different prices for Frozen Mocha Friday, and the Burlington Drive thru (as someone already mentioned) is up from $0.99 to $2 now. So go. Be addicted. read more

My go to place for a frozen "moka"! The baristas are always super friendly, and on frozen moka Fridays, a 12 oz. frozen moka is only $1.99! Take note that these are not "healthy" mochas (if that even exists...) - what I mean to say is that many of my friends who hate coffee love these frozen mokas because they taste like pure, sweet, creamy chocolate! I rarely detect much coffee, but sometimes this is a good thing! (Especially for fellow chocolate lovers!) If you're feeling a bit peckish there is also a decent selection of baked goods to choose from. The pickings vary daily but often include incredibly oversized Rice Krispie treats (yay!), adorable sugar and "pink frosted" cookies, brownies, cinnamon rolls, muffins, etc... My only complaint would be the inflation of their frozen mokas! When I moved to the area about 8 years ago, they were only $0.99!!! Over the years, it's gone up to $1.25, $1.35, and now $1.99. (Although they are still a much better price than Starbucks). Overall, this is a great place to come by for a morning pick-me-up! read more

Had a decaf latte...kinda bitter, kinda cardboardy. As with many places, I'm guessing their regular is much better.

Girls here were too young and inexperienced to know about customer service. Or maybe the owner or managers doesn't care that much either. Coffee was ok. I asked if they served breakfast sandwiches. She said: No, but we have bagels etc. Before I gave up and walked away, I asked if they had eggs. She said yes. Then I ordered a breakfast sandwich. From the beginning to the end, they were not enthusiastic about their work and certainly didn't care if I would buy anything. read more
