We had a delightful time here before sitting in traffic for 1.5hrs to Seattle! The space is cozy, but not stiffling, the bathrooms were clean (and had a changing table), plenty of seating options (booths, tables, benches), and the staff was delightful. Our toddler devoured the banana bread and yogurt parfait. The blueberry lemon load had an odd grainy texture though. We don't live even remotely close to the area, but will be sure to stop by when we're near! read more

I really wanted to love this Woods Coffee location both Everett and Mount Vernon-but the customer service has been consistently disappointing. Every time I tip, the baristas don't acknowledge it -- no "thank you," no smile, no eye contact. But when I don't tip, the attitude suddenly improves. That pattern doesn't feel good as a customer and creates an uncomfortable experience. I visit cafés to relax, work, and enjoy a positive atmosphere. Unfortunately, the energy here feels the opposite -- rushed, cold, and unwelcoming. I hope management can address this, because kindness and basic courtesy make a huge difference. I've chosen to take my business elsewhere for now. read more

Their parking lot kind of sucks ( it's small) and you have to pay attention on how to enter their drive thru lol. But I'm a big fan of their coffee. Allergy accommodation: Since developing a severe dairy allergy and now wanting a hot drink, I visited Wood's and asked whether they could heat the milk-alternative without the steamer wand (they're often covered in cow's milk contaminants) and instead use a microwave. They have been the only coffee shop hesitant to do this, stating that the microwave is also used for dairy products and wouldn't be safe either (but they're not putting the microwave into the beverage so I didn't see the logic there). Either way I acquiesced and just got an iced latte. Glad to see they took it seriously though; they even left it un-stirred because the stir spoons are shared w/dairy products (great attention to detail). And big kudos for catching that the sugar-free caramel flavoring I chose contained dairy before adding it to my drink and instead suggested to swap with "salted caramel" which contained no milk (though not sugar-free *shrug*). A reminder to check everything that goes into your drink/food for your allergen. They do not offer coconut milk: only oat, soy, and almond. That iced salted caramel almond-milk latte (+ extra shot & 2 splenda) was absolutely heaven tho. read more

I ordered 2 boxes of coffee the night before pickup. When I arrived, they had no knowledge of the order. This put me arriving LATE to a function I was leading with about 75 people waiting. What's the point of ordering in advance when it will be late anyway?!? I still paid in full and there was no compensation offered for the mistake. I'll try Starbucks instead next time Update: 1 year later, I sadly made the same mistake of ordering 2 boxes of coffee for the same event. I ordered and paid a day in advance. I watched her fill out the slip and I told her it was CRITICAL to have the coffee DONE by the time on the slip. I called to remind them in the morning and phones went straight to messaging. Parents were waiting for coffee that came 30 minutes or so LATE because they hadn't made it!! My mistake. Should NEVER have gone to Woods in the first place. I think this may be my favorite coffee chain. I just love their wooden forest theme. I was in Mt Vernon to see the tulips, so I stopped by here for a caffeinated afternoon pick-me-up and a snack. They have a drive-thru but I wanted to see the inside so I parked (not a whole lot of spots since they share with the business next door) and went in. The inside looked like a cute cabin in the woods - with wooden tables and booths and nice comfy leather chairs in one area. They also have a private room you can reserve for a study session or a meeting! The Woods staff are always so amazingly nice! I'm blown away their friendly customer service. I ordered a Giant Redwood size (I think this is their largest size, Cedar is smaller) of the sweet Caramel Frappe. And I asked the cashier if I could still order a breakfast sandwich even though it was like 1 or 2 in the afternoon. She said I absolutely could and listed off the varieties of brekkie sandwiches they offered. I ordered the sausage breakfast sandwich. My order came our pretty quickly - my sandwich came on a real plate. My sandwich was pretty good - the bread part wasn't amazing but the snack satisfied my hunger. I'm glad they offer sandwiches and pastries in addition to coffee. My caramel frappe was yummy! I love that the cups have quotes by John Muir! The different sized cups have different quotes. And I find it adorable that the cup sizes are named after trees. I ate and drank while using their fast and free Wi-fi. Right by the cashier, they have merchandise for sale - really cute coffee cups and bottles and clothes. I ended up buying a beautiful white insulated tumbler thing that had a John Muir quote on it. It was done in collaboration with Miir, so it was also for a good cause! I wish they had a Woods Coffee in Seattle. The closest one to me is in Bellevue and that one is inside a mall. If you need to use the restroom, ask for the code. This location is right off of highway 5, so it's a convenient stop if you're on the road heading north! read more

Warm, cozy, contemporary, and relevant. This is the coffee shop to go to if you're visiting outside of town, live in the local area, meetingwith good friends or family, or want a place to study or get work done. Their interior is beautiful with a themed cozy, warm, wood house lodge feel, with contemporary wooden furnishings. The space is clean, spacious, and have various sections from leather couches and seats by the fireside, group tables with plugin outlets by the front, and even a single closed glass windowed room with a slide door -- perfect for group/private meetings (if available when you're here!) The customer service was nothing but superb. The staff were knowledgeable, warm, welcoming, happy, and kind. They acknowledged me waiting in line, answered my questions, were quick, and personable. This is a great model example of what A+ customer service is. The coffee shop offers a variety if menu items, products, and gourmet coffee beans to buy. You can expect to choose from various non-basic cold drinks, frapacinos, coffee, hot drinks, tea, to-go foods, pastries, and hot breakfast foods. They also feature special drinks such as the coconut carmel latte I ordered (which was absolutely delicious). Their coffee drinks were well made and crafted. The mocha and latte I had was at perfect drinkable temperature and was a perfect balance of all the ingredients. I would describe their drinks as signatures made, with a balanced velvety warm mix of the flavors they incorporate. As a coffee/mocha enthusiast and as someone who absolutely lives in coffee shops for work -- I highly give my endorsement and utmost reccomendation to visit this local coffee shop when in town! read more

This review is for the Avocado toast ONLY. The service and coffee at Woods Coffee are always great, but the Avocado toast is a joke. For $5.99, you get 2 small pieces of toast, with a dollop of what appears to be Costco guacamole between the toast. Nothing like the picture they display at Woods. An absolutely pathetic $6 breakfast. My wife called to complain, and was offered a gift card the next time she came in. The next time she stopped by Woods, she got a $5 gift card. (Yes, you read that correctly - she got a $5 gift card to cover a $6 substandard item, before tax.) We'll definitely have to rethink ordering any food items at Woods. read more

My hubby and I recently visited this Woods coffee shop en route back home from Vancouver. I was in dire need of a coffee, and a restroom break was in order, too. So in we went! First, the good: -lovely interior. Terrific fireplace, deep upholstered chairs by said fireplace, very cool suspended hammered-metal lighting fixture, inlaid stone mantel. Very warm and inviting "lodge-like" atmosphere. -cool, outdoorsy Woods merchandise for sale (caps, shirts, cups and flasks). Very camp-y (as in outdoor rec camping). -clean and roomy bathrooms (hey, I notice these things!). Non-gender specific, too. -most importantly, there's good coffee here. Like, really good. My latte tasted fuller and more...woodsy in a way than those at Starbucks. Just different. But still delicious, with a healthy milky foam on top (despite it being non-fat mile, too). Very nice. Next, the not-so-good (but not a deal breaker): -my husband and I couldn't help but notice all the delicious looking bars and cookies and sandwiches/wraps in the display case, and we were going to order one for hubby (he was hungry) but the prices were so high! Some were markedly higher than those at Starbucks for comparable food items. So we passed. Last, the ugly: -omg who designed this place's drive-through lane and parking lot access/exit and circulation? Noone in their right mind, that's who! This is a great spot for coffee! I am not much of an espresso person so I look for places with good drip, cold brew, and tea selections - woods delivers on all counts! I also appreciate that they have honey as an option for sweetener instead of just sugar. (Try the London fog with blueberry white tea and honey instead of vanilla - OH MY GOSH DELICIOUS!!) I prefer sitting down here since it's a little bigger than the one one Gerge Hopper and I've also reserved the "extra space" for a Christmas party which was perfect for our group of 6. The decor is also super fun and chill - reclaimed wood/industrial and very open spaces. I wish I could do my whole house like that! read more

Wait staff could be louder at acknowledging finished drinks, saw a warmed pastry sit forever and there were only 6 people in here. Needs a little work in the service/coffee department. Absolutely beautiful cafe right by I-5. We went here on our way to a hike, and were impressed by this place. The drive through and parking are a little crammed, and the signage is confusing, but once you enter, all that becomes irrelevant. The cafe is really well decorated, and has both tables and couches. It isn't a large space, but doesn't seem to get too filled up since most patrons go for the drive thru. The interior gives you a warm & homely feeling with exposed brick and a faux fireplace. Even their menu has a nature based theme. The coffee is good, but the food is great. We tried some a sandwich and a bagel, and both were delicious. The coffee menu seemed pretty extensive, but we stuck to the standard beverages. The prices are much higher than I expected though. The employees were helpful to us, but seemed overwhelmed with the drive thru orders. So be prepared to wait for a bit. Overall, I'm a fan, and will be back when passing by here. I love my coffee, and the options in the Burlington/Mt Vernon area have been pretty slim if you're looking for a place to sit while you drink your coffee. Plenty of drive-thru coffee stands, but not a lot of options for a sit-down cup. I was excited to see a new place open up. My first time in, I was impressed with the size of the lobby/dining area and had no problem finding a place to sit and get some work done, despite the parking lot being near capacity (see below). The coffee is great, tables are plentiful, it's clean, and has a great atmosphere. I've been back a number of times since since my initial visit, and there is always a place to sit - unlike some of the other area coffee shops. Negatives? The location is terrible. I went in the wrong entrance the first time I came. If I didn't know the area well, I would have had NO idea how to get in to the parking lot (the entrance is on the far side of Jiffy Lube). Getting out of the parking lot is a nightmare, especially at busier times of the day. The parking lot is incredibly small, and people come quickly through the parking lot, so be careful as you cross from your car to the building - if you can find a place to park in the first place. I'm also a bit confused by the hiring practices of Woods Coffee. I've been here a number of times, at various times of the day, and I am yet to see an employee who is not a female under the age of 30. Not really a complaint, but the lack of employee diversity in is very apparent. I just find it a bit odd. read more

Love this place! My husband and I went in recently to grab a cup o' joe for the road but decided to have a tiny bite to eat and to sit and relax a bit. The environment is comfy, cozy, and rustic. He got a scone, I got oatmeal. Both were delicious and reasonably priced. The best part was the coffee...it was dark and bold like we like it - but didn't taste burned. Oh, yeah, and it didn't cost more than $5!!! It was so good, I've decided to get a Woods card and give up my gold card from that other place!!! read more
