I'll remember this Starbucks as the place where I learned "mobile orders are no longer prioritized" in the blunt words of the barista who checked my pre-order status while passing through town earlier this fall. Clearly a reflection of their wider corporate changes this year. This did seem like a fun location to linger, right in the middle of the commercial district and with a reasonable amount of interior space. I could see it being busy on a regular basis given tourist traffic and flow of local and islands based activities. read more

Everything always goes well when I go there. I love it because they know my name and they usually know what I want to drink but I love to change it up on them sometimes. There is one Barista that works there, she is my favorite she's really sweet and she takes time to say hi even when it's busy. Thanks for being a wonderful Barista Claire. read more

If you can order ahead and pick up in the drive thru do it. The windows people are fast and friendly, but definitely keep things moving. If you've got the time inside is comfortable and relaxing. You can come over for a group coffee break, or relax working at a table. The comfort for both is spot on. read more

I have been a loyal Starbucks customer for longer then I can remember. I feel like over the years they have hit bumps along the way down the growth road. Currently it has been beyond just bumps more like the road has disappeared and they are blazing their own path. Sadly I don't feel the path is one I care to walk. Today was just another example of that. My order was taken correctly and the time it took to get in and out of the store was not acceptable. I feel bad for the manager or assistant that seemed to be the only person out of the five others working that knew what she was doing. Maybe I shouldn't feel bad for her? Maybe it's her lack of leadership? I not think that is it either as this is a problem I am stating to see this same problem at many locations I visit. Sad. read more

Just sitting here watching the world and Starbucks go by. This one is nicely done with a long pine paneled counter and grey 'brick' wall. My usual go-to place was closed due to a Monday holiday so after checking out a few other popular spots, I just wasn't feeling it. Said to myself 'self- how about the other go-to spot - Starbucks', so here i am. Glad I did. I always love their chai latte with oat milk. However, this one doesn't have oat milk as yet but is awaiting it any day now. The point is, these kids work hard. And they're all nice. Trying to please. Trying to make a buck. Consider that when you rate a place. Few places can provide perfect service all the time and a little kindness from our side of the counter goes a long way. read more

They were busy. I get it. I was inside at the end of a 5 person line. I waited in front of the counter watching people work for several minutes without a greeting or an "I'll be right with you" I ended up leaving with no coffee or food. I guess I'll try the next one down the line. read more

The customer service at this location is incredible! everyone working there is always so friendly and helpful and actually go out of their way to engage in a pleasant way that goes above and beyond my normal expectations. The cafe and restrooms are always clean and the drinks are always excellent. I usually try to go to non corporate coffee shops but the employees here have kept me coming back! read more

Been here several times and have been happy with the order efficiency. Employees are sweet and kind, and the people who frequent here are the cool, PNW-port-people that all of the best stories consist of. Sunday august 9th 7:15 pm. my husband and I went through the drive thru and ordered a black iced tea with no water or sweetener, the barista handed me a watered down light colored ice tea, normally this tea should look a very dark brown, i order this tea everyday, i asked the young lady to make me another tea and she refused !!! she said there was nothing wrong with this tea !!! i'm seand a complaint to corporate asking that they retrain all their baristas on customer service and how to brew tea correctly !unfortunately alot of starbucks baristas water down their tea so it will last longer !!! starbucks retrain your baristas now !!!! read more

I HAD been going to Starbucks most mornings for spicy chorizo sandwiches. For the past month I've been noticing that they weren't just being heated up. They were being burnt! Newly renovated and SO much bigger now! Free wifi, plentiful tables, new seating areas, and the same descent service. I like that they usually have a nice variety of prepackaged food to buy, and the staff are always happy to warm up anything I buy. Great spot to work (be it school, professional, or otherwise) or to meet friends. The only downside is that there isn't a lot of parking. I recommend parking on the street because the spots in the lot are hard to come by sometimes and the lot isn't easy in/out. There is a drive thru. The line is usually super long, but they are good at keeping it moving so the wait isn't too bad. read more

I would give this starbucks no stars if it were an option! I have given this place so many chances but they go through baristas like changing socks! They cant seem to keep.any consistancy and it seems like no one knows what they are doing. Ive seen the manager berate the employees for everyone to see and hear. This is the second time in a two months I've been at this Starbucks and last time it was also a Disorganized mess. My partner is a big Starbucks fan so I go with him but if it doesn't change in there, we will not be back. We bring our own cups and order decaf lattes and it takes forever. At least 30 drinks were served before ours to people who ordered after us. Decaf bias? Personal cup bias? Easy order bias? I've known this store for many years and it is no longer a fun happy place. The drinks were frequently wrong, the drive thru would take up to 20 minutes sometimes, and one of the baristas (the one who frequently worked the drive thru) rubbed me and several of my friends in the wrong way. Maybe this is petty but I tipped him $1 every time and he never said thank you. He'd just shove it in there. That always bothered me so after awhile I just stopped tipping. I came from Chicago and had the highest opinion of Starbucks. The drinks were always outstanding!! The anacortes Starbucks shattered that image for me. Went in to grab coffee before heading out to catch the ferry and were hoping for a quick stop in. Instead, we were sitting waiting for our drinks for 30 minutes as many people who came in after us got their drinks. As someone who doesn't live here, but visits often...I find the positive reviews of this store puzzling. The staff carries on conversations between themselves while serving customers (often talking over the customers), locals receive preferential treatment, the store floor its littered with debris. A staff of four or five works at 7am, yet I see no one clean the customer seating area, staff gathers behind the service counter and talks to each other. Just finished a cross country drive from Washington DC to Seattle area and have stopped at dozens of Starbucks and other coffee shops. Believe me, this one is mediocrity at best. read more

Takes long order than futzed around with oven etc. Two baristas on machine side standing around doing macro work (not orders). Cashier or baristas never asked me what they could get started. When I first starting coming here, I didn't like it a whole lot. There were a dew people I liked, but that was about it. Now I guess I'm a regular and I get great service, even though I think I was a regular before. I don't know. A little less than a year ago they had this huge company wide training that changed the order of importance for drinks, food, ringing people up, taking orders etc. What every they did messed things up even more. I mean, I get that they want things to me more uniform and efficient, I just don't think it works everywhere. More often then not, I'm left waiting at the register for an absurd amount of time while I see plenty of people working. Either way, they are still better than the other store so....
