I love a good reuben sandwich and this place has a great one. It's big and flavorful and you won't leave hungry! The service I had was great and attentive. The only thing keeping this from 5 stars is that the interior of the restaurant is showing its age and needs some TLC.

Driven by it a zillion times and finally gave it a try. Got the $15 lunch burger and it was OK. The service was good and the venue was a funky roadhouse vibe. Overall it was just OK.

I was in Vancouver on business for four nights and tried fancy, expensive restaurants. Billygan's was my best experience! I sat in the bar and enjoyed a delicious Tom Collins. Ordered the lemon pepper salmon with baked potato and steamed broccoli. It all came out super hot and fresh and delicious!! Tender, crispy crust salmon, fluffy baked potato with perfect coarse-salted skin, and a very very generous side of broccoli! Also loved the warm honey roll with butter. Special shout out to my server, Audrey, who was a delight! Kind and attentive. Would definitely eat here again.

Service was fantastic. Sam was our server. Very attentive and oh so personable. Also we ordered the pot roast. Was not disappointed. Very juicy moist and satisfying. The baked potato was cooked to perfection. Would definitely come here again. The peanuts on the floor gives it a real authentic feel.

This place is absolutely amazing, this nostalgic place takes you back in time. As you can see from one of the pictures, they have a menu with a telephone at every table although they don't work it's a really cool vibe. To be able to take your kids or grandkids there and show them what it used to be like when we were young.. The staff was amazing very polite, very helpful with the menu something you don't always get in today's restaurant experience. I happened upon this place as I was driving through to go pick up a load further north in Washington state. I would much rather stop and eat here at Dad's. Than to spend my money at some corporation that feeds you crap. Anytime in my adventures across the country if I'm able to stop at a family owned restaurant you bet I will be there. The food was great, service was with gratitude! I suggest you try the jalapeño stuffed tots. They were really good. So if you happen through this small little town in Washington state, I think this is the place you'd wanna stop! Enjoy!!!

Kind of a divey place, they give you a bowl of nuts and complimentary rolls with honey butter, so good! I wish they brought more! But the seating areas are dimly lit, and we didn't get any plates for the bread. The prime rib and mashed potatoes tasted great, I was pleased with the 8oz portion. My husband ordered the New York steak and it was a little overcooked, but it still tasted good and the baked potato was good too. Good service from our waitress, I'd try it again, knowing it's by no means a fancy place but has good steak at a reasonable price.

Great server and I was amazed at how fast our food came out! The place was packed on a Wednesday evening at 7pm. My son ordered chicken strips and I got the 6oz steak. It was done perfectly! My son loves throwing his peanut shells on the ground

This place is ok+. Took my kids, prices were great, service great, food decent. Probably hard to find a better restaurant value steak wise.

I'm not a beer drinker, but I found plenty that appealed to me. I like the fact that when you are ready to order, you go up to the bar and place your order. You can leave a tab open or close it out. No hassle about splitting checks. The menu had clearly marked vegan and vegetarian items. I am doing vegan low carb at the moment. I ordered a taco salad and had it veganized. I got a side of peanut sauce that I saw came with vegan potstickers. I was curious about the potstickers, but stuck with the salad. My friends got tofu tacos, spring rolls and potstickers. They generously offered me a potsticker to satisfy my curiosity. It was good! The parking lot was small and full. I parked next door and asked a wait staff if it was ok, I was told yes. It was a cool place and I would return again if I was in the neighborhood!

She noted that it was a place where I could get a burger and she could get a salad, and that it closed at 2:30 p.m., which fit our timing. We arrived a little before 1 p.m. The restaurant is located in a small strip mall on NE 134th, very close to where I-5 and I-205 merge. Inside, the décor was fairly plain, though they did have some Christmas decorations up. Most of the tables were occupied, and it appeared to be quite busy. The menu felt extensive, with roughly half dedicated to breakfast options, which explained why breakfast was still being served. The other side of the menu offered burgers, salads, and lunch items. We also learned that they have three locations in the Vancouver area. My wife ordered a chili burger without the bun or cheese along with a side salad, while I chose a bacon cheeseburger with tater tots. Her side salad arrived first, and she immediately noticed it wasn't chilled. She also felt the lettuce and tomatoes were past their peak and commented that she was glad she hadn't ordered a salad as her entrée. Our entrées arrived shortly after. She enjoyed the chili burger overall but felt it could have been served warmer. My burger was fine but nothing memorable, and the tater tots were the standard frozen variety. Like my wife's meal, my food was also on the cooler side. Service was adequate, but we both found ourselves wondering why this location holds a four-star rating on Yelp. For us, the experience landed squarely at "just OK," which feels more like a three-star experience. We left with our hunger satisfied but are unlikely to return, as there are simply too many other options in the area.

I didn't order at the kiosk because my nephew and I had questions. The Teriyaki Char said it had cheese, pineapple and teriyaki sauce. I ordered it without the cheese and told the girl I didn't want anything to ruin the flavor of the teriyaki and pineapple. I got it home and it was a wet mess, and on the burger was lettuce tomato and pickles along with the pineapple and sauce. Nowhere on the menu were these items listed. I called them to complain. I could only get through to some woman with a southern accent who said she is "unable to" put me through to the store. She said she didn't know what was supposed to come on the burger, whether it was a mistake or not. She told me to go online to their website to make a complaint. I said "What is your job exactly? You don't know anything and you can't help me." She said in almost a whisper "I just take orders." So Yeah, I'm going to fill out the complaint form, but because they would not connect me to the manager I'm also going to write this negative review everywhere I can find to do so. In addition the teriyaki sauce tastes like ketchup and the pineapple is tasteless. This will be our only visit.

Stopped in for our 4th or 5th visit to celebrate my wife's birthday last Friday night April 17th…read more.. The Cove has always been a great choice in the past for special dinners/occasions. Unfortunately this time, we left very disappointed. My wife has a sensitivity to spicy foods. Upon ordering appetizers for the table, we asked if any of them (that had a spicy description on the menu) had the option to have the sauce on the side. She proceeded to ask how the scallops were and went ahead with that order. There was absolutely no description of having any spicy component on the menu nor any mention by the server. Upon her first bite of the risotto, she went into a severe coughing fit :( I tasted it and acknowledged how spicy it was. She proceeded to just eat the scallops. We were mostly done when the waiter came to check on us ... My wife asked if the dish is typically spicy. Response was "oh yes" ... It was completely lost on us why he wouldn't have mentioned that to her upon ordering knowing how she questioned the appetizers. His offer at this point was a new meal .. which was nice but we were mostly done. There really wasn't much in the way of sincerity beyond that. It seems the right thing to have done was offer my wife (celebrating her birthday) who didn't enjoy her meal ... maybe a comp'd drink or maybe a dessert (no acknowledgment of her birthday at all. When you spend north of $300 ... Disappointing to say the least. Upon leaving, I decided to just express my concern to the hostess and suggested adding the spice level of this specific entree to the menu. I reaffirmed my wife didn't get to fully enjoy her meal. I received a lukewarm "thanks for letting us know." The worst part of the whole experience was a manager/owner type was a few steps behind her, made eye contact and was fully aware i had an issue and made absolutely no attempt to come over and address the complaint. I no longer blame the waiter for his lack of concern knowing it flows from the top. We all go out and spend top dollar at nice restaurants for good food but also, for service and the experience. The restaurant has been opened awhile and maybe is established enough where this isn't as much of a priority as it was early on. In contrast, we went out the night before to a more established fave restaurant of ours in Portland (Ava Genes). Had an incredible meal, incredible experience, and uber attentive service. They even went the extra mile and made a big deal that we chose them to celebrate. Ended our evening with a simple complimentary scoop of gelato/candle. It was a nice touch. Certainly didn't mind spending the $$$ for that evening. I wouldn't dissuade anyone from trying The Cove if they've never been (I'm hopeful they just had a bad night) ... but there are so many good choices out there, it will most certainly make us think twice before going back.
