After driving overnight from Denver for our vacation, we were starving. Luckily, Billy Gail's was open and seated us right away. Our server was so amazing! I regretfully forget her name, but I want to say it was Regina (sorry, if I'm completely off on the name). We were greeted immediately upon being seated where our server told us she would be right with us after attending to another table. Once she came back, she introduced herself and told us about the specials then asked if we would like coffee. Yes, we both definitely want coffee. She went to get coffee and allowed us to look at their extensive menu. We ordered the billion dollar bacon as our appetizer. I ordered their deluxe hash with tri-tip and the hubs ordered their chorizo burrito. The billion dollar bacon was so heavenly and I used the syrup to sweeten my coffee, which was so perfect! I can put down a lot of food, but that hash came out and it was HUGE! I ate it for about 45 min before tapping out and it looked like I took only 2 bites. That hash lasted me 3 more meals! It was so delicious and I wanted to eat more, but clearly ran out of stomach real estate. The hubs' burrito was delicious too and he only ate half of it. Had it been my meal, I would have eaten the entire thing but still would have been waddling out. The MOD came by to see how our meal was and of course, we told him it was amazing! If you love country food, you definitely need to come to Billy Gail's! The prices are amazingly low for the amount and quality of food you get. Get there early though, especially on a Sunday.

Of the places we tried during our short visit to Branson, this was my favorite. There are 3 Billy Gail's locations in town - this is the original location recommended to us by a local as the go-to place. Be prepared for a wait though as it's a popular spot. We arrived around 8am and waited about 45 minutes. The parking lot was already quite full when we got there. We ended up parking in the dirt lot adjacent to the restaurant, and even that was starting to fill up. Despite how busy it was, it was well worth the wait. The food was very good with generous portions that didn't disappoint. The classic eggs and bacon plate was tasty and well prepared. The corned beef hash was one of the better ones I've tried. For those with a big appetite or looking to share, they have a signature 14-inch pancake which caught everyone's attention as it was delivered to a neighboring table. If you're in the area and don't mind a bit of a wait, I'd highly recommend this spot for breakfast. Come hungry and enjoy the lively, eclectic atmosphere.

Food was amazing. Service was amazing! The pancake is the size of a pizza! You won't be able to finish. The prorations will be good for a couple days!!!!! Best coffee of my life! You'd swear it's French press. Also billion is not really baxon. It's soft pork belly. Love it! Also love unpretentious appearance. Looks like a country restaurant. Can't fault them.

Listen!!! We waited 30 mins for this food because I heard it was so good. And when I tell you IT DOD NOT DISAPPOINT‼‼‼‼‼‼‼‼‼‼‼ Yes I had to put that much emphasis on it because it was that good. Apparently this is a big tourist spot but it's very welcoming, like going to grandmas house. The service matched the food, top tier. Our waitress, the young lady that brought our food out, even the people sitting next to us were extremely nice. The seats are pretty close together but everyone around us was friendly. It was like dining with strangers. When I come back to this town, this will definitely be a stop!

We heard so many good things about this place we had to stop in on our way to Silver dollar city. We had a great waiter who explained everything we needed to know. Of course we had to get the famous pancake and it's literally the size of a large pizza but was so good. We did our best to make our way through it. I Also got Gail's breakfast which was three eggs hash browns bacon and toast and they were also very good. They have plenty of space inside and everything including the bathrooms were super clean. The wait was only about 20 minutes around 11 am. If you are this way you gotta stop in - one of the best meals we had in Branson.

I have to say these were some humongous and delicious pancakes. I felt like I couldn't come here and not get a pancake, so that's exactly what I did. It was so good and flavorful. I of course enjoyed the eggs and bacon that went along with it. I certainly recommend getting the pancake if you were coming to eat here.The service was fast and our food came out in a timely manner. I also liked the different decorations around the whole room it was very different.

One of the best breakfasts I've had. The pancake is huge, has crispy edges and is super delicious. The bacon is perfect too, service was wonderful and they served delicious coffee during the wait. Staff was kind and atmosphere was cute. I would go back anytime! So good!

We tried eating here the day before but it was almost an hour and a half wait so I decided to go today, only a half hour wait today. Expect LONG wait times. We got our food about 15-20 minutes after ordering. The service was very good, very attentive. Lots of decor to look at. The seating area is VERY cramped when it's busy and the tables are pretty small. Definitely need a bigger dining area. The food was okay. I was expecting it to be some shockingly good food but it seems that everyone comes for the portion sizes or I just got unlucky. The bacon, ham, and sausage was pretty good and my wife loved the French toast but everything else didn't really stick out to me. The eggs were pretty sad and the hash browns were crunchy like chips. The pancake was alright. The price was pretty good for how much food we were able to get. About 18-22 per person. I would probably go back and try it again.

Fun place with insanely large pancakes! Service was attentive and we enjoyed everything that we ordered. Portions are big so sharing might be a good idea or you will be walking out with take home boxes. Generous pours for the mimosas. We will be back!

Wow is all I can say! 5 egg omelettes and 14" pancakes will feed you for days! Our waitress was highly attentive and the area was like a clean, well oiled machine! It is a large restaurant and it was packed but no one missed a beat! We were served quickly and the food was wonderful!

This was our third try for breakfast on Sunday morning with so many restaurants not doing dine in and it should've been our first pick! Wow the food was amazing... we all got something different, pancakes, catfish, monte cristo... everything was wonderful. There's something for everyone here and you won't be disappointed. read more

Oh my goodness! This was so delicious! My granddaughter and I shared the 14" pancake and we each got an order of hash browns and an order of bacon. It was all amazing! You could taste the vanilla in the pancake. We will be going back! read more

This used to be our go to place when in Branson. We were very disappointed when we went this past weekend. Since they have merged with Flat Creek the service and the food have really gone down. It's not the homey feel there anymore. read more

Quick and delicious. Two of us in and out in 35 minutes. Double stack jumbo French toast, four egg omelet (HUGE!) with hash browns. Hope to get back during our stay. Only accept cash or check but handy ATM ($.99 transaction fee) at the counter. Great service, all smiles! read more

Billy Gail's is a legendary place to eat breakfast in Branson. The gas station/flea market atmosphere, good home cooked food, and friendly service add up to a great experience every time. Friends that have moved away from the area miss it, and I like to rub it in by texting them pictures of the great chow! The Diced Ham Jubilee is where it's at. Sit on the front porch if you can. Be prepared to wait a while on Sat or Sun morning. read more

It's always tradition stopping here every vacation to Branson! Especially on the way to Silver Dollar City. The food is great, the atmosphere is amazing and the staff greet everyone with a "how ya'll doin' today?" And "can I warm up your coffee?" And can't forget the classic question asked by everyone, "where ya'll from?" One of the best experiences of the Ozark home feel. I've been going here with my family ever since I can remember (possibly 15+ years). Gail herself is a treat, lovely woman with a big heart. Can't wait to go back!! read more

If you don't come here, you didn't go to Branson! Sloppy biscuit w egg over easy is sloppy goodness on a plate. The pancake can replace a hubcap on your car...huge!! The decor sings the hill of Missouri and takes you back to a simpler time. If you miss this, don't bother making the trip to Branson. read more

This was my first time coming here and I ordered the Sloppy Biscuit which was egg, cheese, sausage, all on a biscuit covered in gravy with a side of hash browns. I couldn't even finish it all! I was here with my family and we all ordered a short stack of blueberry pancakes which was only two but the pancakes are bigger than the plates! This place is a nice little brunch place with nice and sweet waiters and everyone was so friendly, I can't wait to come here again some time soon! It was cash only but you could pay with a personal check. read more

They left us waiting outside way too long. After I asked about our place in line, he was defensive and said he walked outside and didn't see us. We were around the corner in the waiting area the entire time. I'm not quite sure why he never used the speaker. Then, it took forever to get our food. Arrived at 11:00 got our food at 12:25. Food was good, but I wouldn't go during the busy season. They can't accommodate crowds and made me, the customer, feel at fault because he said i didn't hear my name, even though we were in the same place the entire time. read more

We had high hopes coming here on our trip to branson but we were highly disappointed. We were charged for an extra plate and it took over an hour to get 1 meal. When our food came it was chilled and our waitress was MIA for most of our stay. The water was terrible too, which is bad for someone who primarily drinks water. The parking was a nightmare as well. You might consider skipping this place.... read more

We went here before heading to Silver Dollar City. It was a Friday morning and it was packed at 11am. We had about a 30 minute wait. They had coffee in the waiting area which I had a couple of cups. The service was great and everyone was friendly. I didn't think the breakfast was anything special, but it was good. Neat place and I'd recommend as long as you aren't in a hurry. read more

Great food and service. Buttermilk pancakes the size of a medium pizza. Only downside is that they only accept cash. We arrived just after 7:00 am and got one of the last available tables, so I would anticipate that there would be a good wait if you arrive mid-morning. read more

I really like this place! It gets busy and closes early so we couldn't get a place to park the first try so we came back the next day when they opened and got right in. The pancakes are larger than the plate which seems to be their trademark item, but the omelette was what I liked the best. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the ham, pepper, and onions were... perfect. Not watery or mushy at all and the hash browns were crispy and folded well. The service was friendly and fast, just a really good place to get breakfast. Made me feel sorry for the people at IHOP on the way back. read more

Ok, we waited awhile to be seated, but without a doubt well worth it. I had the biggest yummiest pancake I have ever seen. My husband had Sloppy Biscuit that was awesome. My daughter had a omelet that was really good. Everything including the staff is fantastic. read more

Excellent-this is one of those mom & pop restaurants off the beaten path and so worth the wait! My husband couldn't even finish his pancakes and the stuffed French toast was so filling! If we ever come back to Branson I highly recommend you eat at Billy Gail's! read more

Definitely worth a stop. Food was plentiful and servers were very personable. First time here we had breakfast - Apple cinnamon sweet roll and a pancake with bacon. When we return for breakfast, I'll make sure to take someone to help with the pancake - could only eat about a third. Second visit was for lunch. Had the chili cheese burger and grilled chicken club both came with the most amazing fries. Again, huge portions and excellent. Only drawback was the reservation staff was not very friendly. read more

It's a cozy spot with good variety, and overall, it left a positive impression. Service was decent. Great the first time. Second time they left our food sitting for awhile waiting to be brought out and we had to go ask for it. We'd definitely go back the next time we're in town. A reliable choice for breakfast in Branson.

The amounts were around the same though, about a half scoop. $6.50 for the "single scoop" and $4.50 for the half scoop. For the photos the half scoop is the cup but it's had a few bites out of it. And the single scoop is the cone, untouched. It had none in the base just a bit on top. Support local businesses except when they charge too much... My advice is go to a Braums and get way more ice cream for way less.

I haven't been to Billy Gail's in over 5 years, and I was fortunate to go eat breakfast there Sunday morning and thanks to my fond memory and taste-bud recollection... I was not led astray. I love this little Mom'n Pop restaurant. It's been around for years! If you ever come through Branson on vacation you have to stop in for either breakfast or lunch, but between 7am-2pm! I highly recommend this great home cookin' spot to anyone. It's fun for young kids, they've got many things to keep the little ones occupied and if you're hungry then the other half of the group'll be satisfied! You have to check it out! read more

The service was very friendly and the food was amazing. The atmosphere was very nice and not too loud or overwhelming. Though we had to wait forty-five minutes, it was absolutely worth it and handled effectively and efficiently. It is understandable to why we had to wait, everyone should eat here. The Food was superb, you are most definitely gonna need another notch in your belt cause you belly will be full. The first time I had the belly buster and it busted me open. This time I chose a lighter option and was still plenty full. The staff there is really friendly and the service is great. The ambiance is upbeat, but you will have to wait. The pancake really is as big as they say. We order a chocolate chip pancake, billion dollars bacon, and 2 scrambled eggs the share between 2 of us and still left with a box of leftovers. Pancake was great. Billion dollar bacon very good, but pretty pricey. Staff all super nice and attentive. Definitely worth a visit. Given how big and busy the place is they could use bigger bathrooms. read more

The restaurant is decent, but my worry is with the owner. He is a very aggressive man, I was scared talking to him. Even though my experience was outside of his restaurant, i will never support a man who threatens minors. I hope that people understand that they shouldn't support Josh Rasmussen and any of his businesses. read more

Greatest breakfast in Branson. Like they all say it sometimes can be a long wait but they treat you so nice and the food is so good. I broke the pancake record and ate three and they gave me a t-shirt. We had 17 so it took a bit for us to get in. read more
