First of all the bathroom was filthy and it was not new dirt. Only 2 bathrooms and both have 1 stool and are family bathrooms. Usually I will leave when I find a bathroom so dirty but the reviews were so good that we decided to stay. I ordered Slow-smoked tri-tip and my husband ordered the Monster Ruben burger with onion rings. Unfortunately the tri-tip was very tough, I requested a sharp knife and it was even hard to cut and chewing it was not possible. My husbands onion rings were cold, like they had not been cooked thru from frozen. We told our server and both issues were handled quickly. I opted for the smoked corned beef (delicious, tender, large quantity). Husband received sweet potato fries in place of rings and they were very hot. My husbands sandwich was good. read more

What a fun place! We almost didn't stay when they told us it was an hour wait. I'm glad we did! They had complimentary coffee and ample outdoor seating, so we just visited while we waited. The food was PLENTIFUL and the service was great. I will know when I go back here that each meal is plenty to be shared between two people. The short stack of pancakes would feed 3 people! Heard about this place so we had to try it out make sure you get there early because the wait time gets longer and longer as the morning goes on. We sat at the counter so if you want to check in then wai for people to get up you can sit there and not have to wait for a table. I order standard breakfast 2 eggs bacon potatoes and a biscuit also ordered a side of white gravy for my biscuit. The $1,000,000 bacon was pretty good. Fast, friendly service. Fried bologna is amazing. The waffles are HUGE. MY HUSBAND got the belly buster and it was three fourteen inch pancakes. They're about 3/4 inch thick. It was enough pancakes to feed our family of five. GINORMOUS. I felt so guilty with how much we wasted. But they were incredibly delicious. Didn't even need syrup. Loved coming to Billy Gail's. I hadn't been in a few years but, we were in town visiting family and came by on the way to Silver Dollar City. Love that they take credit cards now! I got the sloppy biscuit with sausage. The sausage gravy was very good and the hashbrowns fantastic and very crispy. My fiancée got the big breakfast and I had forgotten how huge the pancakes were! Easily the size of a small pizza. And they were some of the best pancakes we have had in our life. The breakfast was so good and huge and easily enough for two people. Well worth the wait. Service was so-so. Waitress waited on 2 other tables that were seated after us. But we waited patiently as they are extremely busy. Portions were MASSIVE! First time visiting this establishment while on vacation. Did not disappoint at all. We waited for a little over an hour but it was well worth it. Besides the service, the food was excellent. Everyone in the party had a variety of items including grits, sloppy biscuit plate, club sandwich, brisket omlette and French toast. OMG! Our waitress, Jenn, was beyond courteous, on time and very responsive to the needs of the table. We didn't need much because the service was top notch. We had a big party and they were more than able to handle the capacity with multiple booths (still enough arm room) for up to 8 ppl. The online order was placed on 20 May, funds withdrawn from by bank on 21 May, and the recipient HAS YET to be informed of gift as of today, 26 May . Another great meal today. The wait was about 30 minutes. Then the 2 tables seated after us had their orders taken before ours.. Hubby was very upset. However, when the food came, it was wonderful. We ordered the belly buster to share, with a side order of sausage. The order comes with 2 pancakes, but we asked the waitress to bring just one. We had leftovers! This was the new location on Greta. OMG!!! Awesome food. We stopped in for breakfast and I'm so glad we did. Everything was delicious and the portions are sized for giants, lol. No way anyone can make a happy plate. The pancakes are the size of a family sized pizza and the portions of their incredibly yummy homemade hash brown potatoes are Paul Bunyan sized. The food was delicious and yes there was a wait to get in but it's worth the wait. The country ham was so delicious and the bacon had a great flavor also. My food was only warm when they brought out which means it either sat back there for awhile or they cook in big batches or something. Sometimes I'm skeptical about the homestyle breakfast places but this was one of the best breakfast places I've been to by far. I typically try country fried steaks everywhere I go, and this topped the list. The breading was perfectly seasoned and crispy, same goes for the gravy. Country fried steaks are hard to truly mess up but a better than average one is also difficult to do, this exceeded my expectations. As far as the pancake goes, I'm not typically big into pancakes because I usually find they lack flavor and are mushy. This pancake however may be the best I've had. It was cooked perfectly, with a nice crust on the outside. The inside was fluffy without being too cake like and somewhat chewy. The vanilla sweet cream batter had a sweet, not overbearing taste to it. I was glad we took the chance and tried the pancake. The atmosphere was fun and lively, along with the decor. The service was speedy and also friendly. We waited about 1.5 hours but it was most definitely worth it. If you are into 'down home' country food and sweet breakfast foods. This place is just what you are looking for and this review probably isn't for you. We went today and the place was packed. Waited 45 minutes to get seated which I thought was pretty quick given the number of cars in the lot. We were looking for something a bit more upscale and unique given the high rating and large line. We got a number of things and no one was really impressed. The overall theme for the breakfast dishes was they were all too sweet. The pancakes (regular and blueberry) must have a lot of sugar in the batter. Without syrup they were almost too much to take. But man are they large! Well cooked, just too sweet for our palates. Same for the French toast. Very thick, soft (missing the crunchy sear we prefer) and also too sweet for my 10 yr old. I had the monte cristo (a favorite). I typically expect salt and richness, but as it was made with the French toast was too sweet. The bacon isn't salty enough to cut through. Finally my wife got the breakfast burrito. Everything was cooked well, yet it lacked any sort of seasoning I would associate with a burrito. I would say the food here was overly sweet and lacking any real seasoning or flavor. Given the popularity we were expecting more. The service was good, all the food cooked properly. It's just not our jam I guess. read more

Once seated our waitress was prompt and friendly, she took our drink orders. First thing we notice is the massive size pancakes on others tables, 14" imagine a small pizza. Yeah, that's right. Your table could share that bad boy lol. Wife had the ultimate monte cristo sandwich, she really enjoy it. Lot of food. I had the campfire breakfast; scrambled eggs with peppers, onions, sausage, hash browns topped with cheese and served with bread of choice, outstanding. yum yum yum! this restaurant has been on our radar for years because of annual Branson trips. It was always packed driving by and this year we finally decided to stop in. We knew that the wait can be long so we got there just shy of 8 am and we were seated within 10 minutes. The service was lovely and you could tell the staff are a well oiled machine. The food came quickly after ordering and it was delicious as expected. We got a mix of everything and would recommend it all. One thing to note is that the portion sizes are huge so sharing is a good idea. We left with three full to-go boxes and we still left some food behind. Have been to Branson a few times over the last year or so and never made it to try this place out. Was able to this time around. Arrived shortly before 10am on Sunday morning. There was a wait, as expected at this time, that was around an hour. No big deal. Was seated and loved the atmosphere. The waitress was "meh". She welcomed us and took our order. Then we never saw her at our table again - VANISHED. If it wasn't for the lady bussing tables we would never have received refills or any attention. Very disappointing. The waitress right next to us was very busy and doing an excellent job. So I feel it's not the "norm" here. We, unfortunately, just received a bad waitress. Food was good. Lots of food!! The omelets are good. Five egg omelettes. I will say that they need to put more cheese in their Sausage and "cheese" omelettes. A five egg omelette with heavy meat needs cheese to break it up. It was a little dry due to very light cheese. All in all, a decent experience. The service was just VERY disappointing. May be back. Not sure. read more
