A great breakfast place. The food was good. I had one egg ,over easy and it was perfectly cooked. The ham was delicious and a very generous portion. Morris had 2 eggs and sausage with toast. Stopped here before our visit to silver Dollar City. Long wait but worth it I suppose. Food was delicious and the big pancake makes for an impressive photo to send to your friends. We were placed in a tight room where you're pretty much elbow to elbow with your neighbor. Service was good considering the amount of folks they shuffle through the place. Stopped in on a Friday night around 4:30ish. Not busy, no wait. Were seated right away. Waitress was nice. A little slow with service, there was a larger table a few tables down that she seemed to know so she spent time chatting with them. Food was good. I loved their cole slaw. Ordered catfish We stopped back on the following Wednesday in the afternoon and did have to wait to be seated about 10ish minutes. Ordered the catfish that time too. Also got onion rings that time that were crazy greasy and looked like they had been cooking for days. read more

Went to Billy Gail's for the first time today on Thanksgiving day. Took the whole family. The wait was about 15 minutes total which wasn't bad at all. Inside the restaurant was nice decorated and we had a very nice waitress who was very attentive. I ordered a chef salad due to my Keto diet. My wife had French toast and chicken fried chicken steak, my daughter had biscuits gravy, eggs and hash-brown and many other daughter had the 14 inch pancake and a sausage patty. The girls loved their meals. The salad was ok. One thing for sure it is all big food. You will not leave starving unless you are trying. Prices we're good. Great spot for reasonable prices and good service. The catfish sandwhich was incredible. My kid had the 14" pancake and loved it... it is huge and we got two meals out of it. I had the 14" pancake and a fried chicken breast. The chicken was good but dry. Didn't bother me, however. My husband and I were both able to have breakfast off my leftovers! So, I would recommend splitting one meal, which will give you enough food to get full. Cheap meal! read more

The food was good large portions as you can see in the pictures. Now very very long wait times if you don't get there early. We had two teenage girls with us when we went they put us an hour plus past the time we wanted to get there and that helped us have an hour and thirteen minute wait to be seated. Service was good. Found this little gem while traveling in Missouri. I loved everything! We were told to be prepared for a wait. When we arrived, we were told it would be about 30 minutes, but we were seated in about 10. The waitress quickly took our orders. There are so many choices it was hard to decide what to eat. I decided that I had to try the famous bacon. It didn't disappoint. I had the omelet with vegetables, hashbrowns, and a biscuit. The biscuit was so fresh it just crumbled in my hands. The french toast was loaded with flavors of vanilla and cinnamon. It was a lot of food, so make sure you go with an appetite. I definitely recommend this restaurant if you're in the area. read more

I visited Billy Gail's on a recent trip to Branson, Mo. The food there is average, not a whole lot to write home about for me, but not bad either. Our waitress was as sweet as she could be, very accommodating and hospitable. I had the usual breakfast with a pancake that was surprisingly ginormous (covered the entire plate) so if you're a hearty eater with a huge appetite it is for you. The restaurant itself is reminiscent of an old log cabin with its walls covered with things that were on old tv shows like 'Bonanza, Gunsmoke and Little House on the Prairie'. I found it comfortable and pleasant to dine in. WARNING...it's not located on the strip although I believe one is being built on/near 76. As you journey through the hills, twists and turns of scenic Branson take time to breathe in the fresh air and really focus on your surroundings. It's off the beaten path so you'll have plenty of time to do so (it's about 20-30 minutes away from 76 depending on where you are staying). As many times as I've been to Branson I didn't realize just how VAST it REALLY is and how much MORE there is to explore. I get Uber excited each time I visit as I stumble upon places that I never imagined existed. What an adventure! I'm totally in love with this place. I had a seven hour drive ahead of me and I wanted a big breakfast to get me through the day. Stopped here because I was enticed by the 14" pancake and it did not disappoint. The great reviews were on spot. The packed parking lot is your first clue to how good it really is. Manage your expectations of the wait time...this is a highly recommended restaurant in a tourist town (plus a local favorite), there will be a wait. If you are a bacon lover (I am) then the million dollar bacon is a must try! If you are craving pancakes, the 14 inch (it is as large as the plate) should hit the spot. Food was cold. Couldn't find my egg in the sloppy biscuit. The sausage had good flavor and the hash browns were nice and crunchy. But cold Billion $ bacon was huge disappointment. $8 for 4 slices of bacon with syrup poured on plate. Good looking toast but was served cold and dry with cold butter. Would definitely not recommend this as a splurge when wanting to avoid hotel breakfast. read more

Ok first off breakfast looks legit, but we came for lunch... the kiddo pancake is bigger than your head and the normal pancake..... you won't be walking home anytime soon... The wife got the chicken wings and said even though they had a bit of kick the smoked crispy rds was spot on! Kiddo got the chicken tenders and the looked home made and good. I got the smoked tri tip and bbq chips and man was it good. They even give you creamy horse radish and it was smoked awesomeness... I'd say they make their own bread bc that was too good to be store bought unless it's a good bakery... and the chips were done just right and still warm which is they way they r supposed to be! My only wish was some au jus, heck some onion soup would be ok.... Next time I'm stopping in for breakfast! read more

Absolutely delicious! Our neighbor had recommended Billy Gail's and I had seen it on TikTok, so I made sure we went here. There were four in our party and they got us seated in about 30 minutes, which given the line, was pretty quick. Obviously the portion sizes were huge, but it was delicious too! Some times you go to places like this and it's just about the awe factor, but that wasn't the case here. The chocolate chip pancake not only had chocolate chips IN it but ON it as well. Or do if you think the best food comes from divey looking places. The pancakes are the size of hubcaps! It's small and quaint inside so expect a wait. We waited on benches inside and out front. We chatted with lots of travelers while we waited. Idaho, Michigan, Minnesota and Canada. Customer's clapped and high fived a guy for his 'Let's Go Brandon' sweatshirt. We went to breakfast at Billy Gail's because it's only about a block from the Silver Dollar City campground. Turned out to be a great choice. We got there shortly after 7 on a Thursday and it wasn't busy. 2 hours later when we went by, it was packed. So, go early. I had the biscuit and gravy combo. 2 soft, flaky biscuits with smooth, creamy sausage gravy. More hash browns than I should have eaten in 2 breakfasts and fried in real butter. Then 2 slices of crisp bacon. I am rarely defeated by a meal but I couldn't quite finish it all. And delicious. My wife had a French toast plate that included sausage, an egg, and that huge pile of hash browns. She did make 2 meals out of hers. Our waitress was quick, friendly, and very attentive. I would dang near move to Branson just to have breakfast there regularly. The restaurant itself had the look of a dive but was clean and well decorated. They advertise their large pancakes--just wish they could provide a table large enough to accommodate. My husband and I split a breakfast and there wasn't room on the small table for the food. Our server had to take items off the table to allow for the plates. The tables are too close together in that small dining room. Other patrons were bumping into us while they were trying to get in and out of their seats. I understand making the most out of the space but eliminating a couple of small tables would help. read more
