Most either weren't familiar with my boiler or couldn't schedule a service call for days. When I called Rob, the owner of R. E. Coogan Heating Inc., he explained that they were busy but promised to stop by that evening to see what he could do. Rob arrived around 7 PM and spent over an hour troubleshooting the problem. Although he couldn't get the boiler running that night, he assured me he would contact the manufacturer the next day and continue looking for a solution. True to his word, he called me the following day with recommendations from the manufacturer and returned that evening to try them. It was clear that he was doing everything possible to repair the boiler and save us the expense of a replacement. Unfortunately, the boiler could not be repaired because the required parts were no longer available from the manufacturer. After exhausting every reasonable option to restore it, Rob helped us move forward with a replacement as quickly as possible. After four days without hot water, I expected we would have to wait at least another week for a new installation. Rob initially estimated that the work could begin Friday and be completed by Monday. However, he called on Wednesday to let me know he had rearranged his schedule and hoped to start earlier. At 3 PM on Thursday, Rob arrived with Henry and Nick to begin removing the old boiler. He then brought in additional crew members the next day and worked hard to complete the installation as quickly as possible. As promised, our new boiler was installed and our hot water was restored by Friday evening. What impressed me most was Rob's commitment to helping us. He went out of his way to accommodate our family, worked tirelessly to find the most cost-effective solution, and followed through on every promise he made. Henry, Nick, and the rest of the team were professional, courteous, and respectful of our home, leaving everything clean when the job was finished. Once we received the quote, we accepted it and set up a date for install. They called the week before to confirm the date then 30 minutes to let us know there was an issue with the equipment but the team that was dome to install the ductwork will still be out on the original date that agreed on and even with the equipment issue the install would still only take 2 to 3 days tops. The day the gentlemen we to come out and start they came and told me that they didn't have any of the supplies in order to start they were only here to count how may registers they needed. They was on a Tuesday (the agreed upon date to start) they left within 30 minutes and said they would be back on Friday. Friday, they worked a half day and didn't finish and left and said "see you Tuesday). Tuesday came, and now they are already running a week behind. The electrician was a no show, and he came a day later, worked a half day and left because he needed parts. He came back the next day and complained profusely about the job and left suddenly again and was done for 4 days. Next, not 10 days into this job I receive a call from Reichert stating that they had to order a new control panel because what they sent was incorrect. It turns out that the electrician wired the first one in correctly and a replacement had to be ordered. I called the office to talk to Bill so I can get a sense of the job completion date. He wouldn't return me call, he had the secretary call me back. Now the gentlemen that are installing the ductwork finished up, they left an incredible mess and didn't have anything to clean up with and when they installed the registers in the celling they chipped the plaster around the opening when they cut the holes and just left it like this was acceptable. Now we are in week 3, Reichert come back with a new panel and trying to hook it all up. They had to call the electrician back because they AC/Heat pump kept blowing fuses. Now after this is all done and I have to call Recchert back to have them come back to clean and take leftover material I once again asked to talk to Bill because this it totally unacceptable that I have to chase them to finish work and I was hoping that he would be reasonable and provide me with a discount seeing that job took 3 weeks instead of 3 days. Again Bill would not call me back and he had the office secretary call me back to just say NO. he is only out for his bottom line and does not and will not put his customers first .
