Today I called to order oil and some man in the background who I believe was the owner was saying I was "using" them because I haven't ordered oil since April. The miserable old woman who answers the phone there kept repeating "we don't operate like that" and other stuff that made zero sense to me every time I tried to get a word in to say I now have an electric mini split and use oil as a secondary source of heat and that is why I haven't ordered oil since April. She talked over me the entire time I was on the phone. Talking about other companies and servicing, I have no idea what she was talking about, maybe she is going senile. She refused to place an order of oil for me and told me to try to call elsewhere but good luck, Good luck? WTF. I did a google search called Vaughn Oil, and in five minutes scheduled an oil delivery. Shout out to Vaughn oil company! Give them a call! Excellent customer service from them, the woman who answered the phone to take my order at Vaughn was so nice to me and courteous and professional, what a breath of fresh air after putting up with the nasty woman at Micheletti for 10 years, the representative at Vaughn put me down as having oil as a secondary source of heat, took my credit card info and a delivery of oil is coming to my house tomorrow which was a NO BRAINER. Imagine that Micheletti Oil, seems they could not comprehend something so simple. Micheletti Oil company is run by incompetent bad businessmen with an ignorant, nasty, unprofessional woman answering the phone to take your order. I guess they hate their customers. What a bizarre way to run a business! Give your money to another oil company please, one that will treat you with simple common courtesy and appreciates your business. The only thing that was good about Micheletti is they are close to my home and would deliver small orders of oil for me to fit within my budget at the time. But you can get that elsewhere as well without dealing with nastiness and disrespect. I have always kept a zero balance with this company and was a customer for 10 years and was treated so disrespectfully this morning. Also, as a side note the owner sent his son to my home years ago to repair my boiler and the son told his father my ex-husband was rude to him, WAH!!!, which I had NOTHING to do with and I wasn't there to even witness this, so I don't even know if it was true. I was advised, via yelp chat from the business owner, to have them call directly. My parents called and had an appointment scheduled for a Fri. morning at 10:30 am. After waiting all morning and afternoon no one from this company showed up. Worst of all no one called to explain/reschedule. I send the business a message inquiring about what happened and received no response. It is a week later and I am still waiting. How embarrassing to provide a glowing referral to someone and have it turn out to be such a bad experience for them. Will seek services else where in the future.

There was neither a blizzard nor was it raining sulfur from the skies. The plumber did not have to answer questions from the Sphinx to gain access to my property. The plumber did not have to fight through an army of gremlins to get to my house or dig through corpses to get to my sink. The plumber did not need a support team to extricate the water supply valve from a hidden haunted cave under my house. The parts were not made of Rhodium nor did they need to be shipped from the planet Venus. So why, exactly, should it cost $1000 to replace a water shut off valve and water supply line to a kitchen sink?? Are you just doubling the cost & then sending that difference to the Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation and getting a tax break or just taking advantage of people who you can take advantage of? Just wondering... With that being said, the actual plumber was nice & did his job well & I would hire him again...if he was self employed...and the price was within reason

UPDATE: After months of trouble with our previous oil company, GEM initially felt like a huge step…read moreup. Harrison came out expecting to be working on a gas system despite us telling the dispatcher we have an oil system. He and made a real effort to help us. But we were expecting him to give a quote and instead handled most of the major issues the same day. Or so we thought... His initial repair ultimately took three more separate visits to get right. The issues we ran into after the first visit could have been avoided if the initial work had been completed correctly, but I appreciate that GEM honored their warranty and kept coming back without charging us extra. The final technician, Steven, was the one who fully resolved everything. He corrected the earlier mistakes, updated the piping, bled the system properly, and fixed problems that had been building for years, even parts that weren't effected by the initial repair were replaced to ensure efficiency and to avoid further damage to the system. Our heat now works better than it ever has, and Steven genuinely deserves five stars. Because of the multiple visits and avoidable setbacks, I can't give the company a full five stars, but I'm grateful for the Steven seeing it through!

I did a quick search for drain clearing companies and United came up with a fantastic reviews. Here is another one of those reviews to add...David picked up the phone when I called- he asked a couple questions and said he could come out within the next couple hours. I needed to leave to go to work and said, can we do it at the end of the day? He said, absolutely, just text me when you're on your way home. He was here for quite a while trying to troubleshoot a very old connection. He never gave up, figured it out and had the flowing going where it should be! He even helped me hook up my washing machine hose. 5 stars is not enough! Great guy, great service, great company.
