I had Atlantis Comfort Systems come to my house for a preventative maintenance check on my 2 gas furnaces. Shawn, the technician called to let me know he was on his way, well within the 2 hour window discussed when scheduling the appointment (with a very friendly office manager). Shawn introduced himself and before starting work he went over what he'd be doing and reiterated how much it would cost. He was happy to answer all of my questions and graciously volunteered to install the air filters I'd bought for the furnaces. I was impressed with his professionalism (and his rapport with my cat) and 100% recommend Atlantis Comfort Systems. They do have an annual maintenance plan at a very reasonable price that includes servicing the furnaces and, in the spring, the air conditioning unit. read more

Jacob arrived promptly and immediately identifed the problem with our heat pump and came up with a solution. He took the time to explain everything to me, then spent several hours repairing the compressor - including cleaning it out, replacing the capacitor, testing the gas level, diagnosing a leak, which he then fixed. He showed me all the work as he was doing it and answered all of my questions. Thanks to Jacob I now have a very cool, comfortable home. And thanks to Dylan for taking my call over a holiday weekend and making sure that a capable technician would arrive on the first available weekday. Scam artists with the gall to leave me with my heat off for the weekend (I have young kids) and tell me I need a new boiler (only $10,500) but that they would wave the $299 fee for the "service call". I decided to get a second opinion and that company fixed the issue in 45min for $165. Personally, I no longer trust this company, but if you do or if you have an ongoing subscription with them, I highly recommend you adopt a 'trust but verify' approach. read more

Do not call this company!! They will try to take advantage of you. My AC unit was not working. I called them and the representative came to the house the next day. He tried to tell me I needed a new unit without inspecting anything. He said "I must have a leak". If we tried to charge it, it would cost a couple thousand with no guarentee that the problem would be resolved. He was there 10 minutes and charged a $99 service fee. The next day I called another company. They did not charge any service fee and charged the unit for 1/3 of the price I was quoted by Atlantis. The system was repaired immediately and is working perfect! This company is making big money on the service fees. They quote you a ridiculous price to see if you bite. If you refuse, they do not care because they already got their $99 service fee after 10 minutes! read more

A tech from Atlantis came today to figure out what was wrong with my AC as it had stopped working. He found the issue and resolved it fairly quickly. I had two wires in the compressor that over time had lost their plastic coating and touched creating a blown fuse. I was very lucky to have such a quick and inexpensive fix. He really went the extra mile trouble shooting the unit and finding the correct diagnosis. I will call them for all my hvac needs in the future. read more

He has a nice rapport with his employees. His office staff is friendly, helpful and very polite especially Billie. They call you to remind you of service check ups which I very much like because you forget with the fast paced life style we all have. The girls try to set up a time that is convenient for you. The Priority service contract allows this and also keeps your heating/cooling system efficient and lengthens the lifetime of your unit. Being relatively new to the area and wanting somebody to clean/tune-up our older furnace, we took a chance and gave Atlantis Comfort Systems a call. We are glad we did! We were able to make an appointment over the phone, and Chris, the technician, arrived right on time. He was very personable, explained what we did to service the furnace, and replaced our filter. As the furnace is over 30 years old, he explained some options for upgrading in the future. Yet, he said that our unit was still in solid condition, and in no way pushed us to make an upgrade - simply educated us on what an upgrade would take. I was impressed with the service that ACS provided, and will therefor likely bring my business to them when it eventually does come time to replace my furnace. When my Central Air Conditioning stopped working in 85-degree weather, I had no idea who to call! I searched the internet and wrote emails to 9 different companies. I didn't hear from 7 of them at all, and Atlantis was the first company to call me back! They were at my house within 2 days and the minute Dave and Dylan showed up I felt comfortable! They were personable, polite, knowledgeable, and spoke in terms I understood. Everything they did was explained in full and I never felt like they were doing work that didn't need to be done, just to "upsell me". Not only did they show me the parts that needed to be replaced but explained to me WHY they needed to be replaced, HOW each part made the unit function and the cost of the part up front! I knew I could trust them every step of the way! I know the unit is 17 years old and I wasn't prepared to put in a new unit, but they truly found ways to make my A/C last a little longer for me without having to put in a new system yet. I can assure you that because of their professionalism, knowledge, fairness in price, and honesty, I will definitely be calling them when I do need a new unit! The company is extremely lucky to have Dave Mandeville and Dylan as a team! I'm a tough customer who holds repair companies to very high standards, and they exceeded every one of them!! Dylan is an apprentice, and I must say that he is VERY lucky to have Dave as his teacher and mentor! Dylan's knowledge and skills from the training he has received from Dave were impressive and just hearing the encouragement that Dave was giving him as he worked was amazing! The central air system in our new home wasn't blowing very cold, so we called Atlantis to do their $89 system check. They came out and found no problems whatsoever. Told us we needed to buy a new unit, even though our AC is newer and in good shape. A week later we had National Grid out to do an energy audit. They found a massive hole in the AC duct in the attic, which had just been inspected by Atlantis. Mixing all that hot attic air directly with our cooled air turned out to be the problem, one that we paid Atlantis to diagnose and they completely missed. They didn't give me anything for my $89 inspection. Not a chance I'd hire them to repair the problem. read more

Our central air conditioner wasn't working last week so I called around to a few places. I spoke to a dispatcher at Atlantis and she made an appointment for the very next day. Chris, the technician called about 20 minutes before arrival to let us know he was headed to our address. He was very professional and personable. He obviously knew a lot about air systems. Checked out condenser and made the proper replacements needed. He was nice enough to go up to the attic and both replace our filter (which we already had) and fix some insulation that had gotten on a coil from our system. He wrote out a very detailed receipt and was both patient with his explanations and our questions and cleaned the area he had worked on. We felt great about making the choice to go with Atlantis and if we ever have another problem, we will definitely call them. read more

Stay away from this company. We called them to clean our furnace. The tech arrived and did a few CO checks and said our system is bad and should not be used. He then said he was required to shut the system down. He gave us a replacement quote of 8 to 10 thousand dollars. We decided to consult other companies to compare replacement costs. After getting about 7 more quotes we were getting such a range of solutions that we decided to have National Grid asses the situation. Since our furnace was shutdown for over a week. Based on the first assessment we were uneasy about restarting the system over the possibility of the danger of CO levels. National Grid arrived several hours later and their tach said we did not need a new furnace just to have ours cleaned. Exactly what we originally sought from this company. So the shutdown of our furnace I believe was just a scare tactic to make a sale and a very shady business practice in my opinion. So please beware. read more

I had a unique problem with my Triangle Tube boiler. Called my service contract provider which I found out went out of business last month (and took my contract money). Scrambled to find another HVAC servicer and Atlantis was listed on the Triangle Tube site. Called them this morning and they were able to get here this afternoon. After going through diagnostics and consulting with Tech Support they resolved the problem in about an hour. Nice guys and knew what they were doing and explained it all. Did not try to guess and sell me unneeded repair parts etc., and the price was reasonable. Based on my experience with them I also signed a annual maintenance contract.
