We knew right away we were dealing with a true professional; he gave us the confidence to go ahead with the purchase. The credit was approved, and the order was placed with an estimated delivery time of just three days. That day, my father was carrying his wallet in an elastic waist pouch, but he was holding it in his hand. When we got home and couldn't find it after three hours of searching, we realized the only other place we'd been was the American Furniture store, so we went back to see if anyone had turned it in at the front desk. Unfortunately, no one had turned anything in, but Manny stepped up to help us again. He checked the security footage, which showed my father walking toward the car with the pouch--confirming that it must be back at the house. After searching more carefully--and now hopeful that it wasn't lost, just misplaced--we finally found it. It was a huge scare because his wallet contained cash, but more importantly, it held his credit cards, driver's license, work permits, immigration IDs, and so on. It would have been a real nightmare if things had ended badly. We are so grateful to God, to Manny, and to American Furniture. They don't just stock excellent products; they have qualified staff who make the whole process easy and achievable. They help secure the financing needed to meet the customer's needs--allowing them to enjoy their purchase right away without waiting to save up the full amount--and, above all, they showed genuine human concern regarding my father's missing pouch and took the initiative to help us track it down. Most things do but things do, but like 10-15% of things with a lot of pieces have a warning "customer asssembly required" warning on office desks and kids stuff. Very annoying. Selection overall is pretty good; but their delivery also doesn't remove or move old furniture like their competitors. Financing I haven't checked out. While I was waiting at the restaurant, he repeatedly messaged me asking whether the food was ready, whether it had been cooked yet, and why the delivery was taking so long. Drivers do not control how long restaurants take to prepare food, and we cannot force an order to be completed faster. When I arrived at the facility, I was stopped by security. The security guard asked whether Daniel had provided delivery instructions. He had not. The guard informed me that I was not allowed to enter the property because Daniel was still working and instructed me to leave the order with security. I followed those instructions exactly. I documented the delivery and have evidence showing that the food was handed directly to the security guard. Despite that, the order was later reported as not received. No one contacted me after the delivery to ask where the food had been left or to help locate the order. Instead, a report was made claiming the order was not received after I had already followed the instructions given by the company's own security personnel. Management should pay closer attention to situations involving their employees. In my opinion, employees who create delivery disputes after a documented delivery do not reflect the honesty and trustworthiness that most businesses expect from the people representing them. Delivery drivers are out here working hard to earn a living. We should not have to deal with false delivery disputes after completing a delivery exactly as instructed. Based on my experience, I would be very cautious about accepting deliveries to this location again.

I think some of the stuff is five stars and some of the prices are two or three, but I'll average it out to four because Barbi really likes this store.

We also called from different cell numbers as it seems they have been avoiding my mom's and dad's phone number. My mom called and once again told them she did not want to get the item repaired as she paid for new set and wanted what she rightfully paid for a new quality item and even held on to the box. Representative expressed that they were not replacing her item and that she could do whatever she wanted with the box that they could care less. I honestly feel like they are taking advantage of my parents since they are older folks. I personally worked for a furniture store and would have never put a customer through this stress. I will be reporting this place to the better business bureau and continue to push my experience to alert consumers of their crooked ways. The furniture was delivered within a couple of days, but the sectional sofa did not fit through my apartment hallway. As a result, the delivery personnel took it back the same day. Please note that the sofa never entered my home and was returned in the same condition in which it was delivered. When I visited the store to request a refund, I was immediately told that 25% would be deducted as a restocking fee. What is especially frustrating is that no one informed us at the time of purchase that the sectional sofa was not separable and came as a single large piece. Had this been clearly communicated, I would not have purchased it in the first place. This was a clear case of misrepresentation. Instead of resolving the issue properly, the store manager, whose attitude was extremely rude and dismissive, told me to return the next day. When I did, I was asked to look for another sofa as a replacement. Although I was not fully convinced, I agreed in an effort to resolve the matter peacefully. Later, the manager informed me that I would still be charged the 25% restocking fee ($100) as well as a $120 delivery fee. This was completely unfair and misleading, especially since I was initially given the impression that I could select a replacement without incurring additional charges. To avoid further conflict, I eventually agreed to accept a refund even with the 25% deduction. However, it has now been almost a month, and I have had to visit the store multiple times and call customer service at least 10 times, only to hear the same excuse every time: that the person responsible for writing the check is unavailable and that I should "come tomorrow." This level of service is unacceptable, unprofessional, and deeply frustrating. I have been harassed continuously over a matter that should have been resolved promptly and fairly.
