But nobody wanted to help me so I left. I ordered everything from Best Buy and Home Depot. Between them they sell the most appliances in the country. Unfortunately, my experience with Bill Smith has not been great. I did a kitchen remodel 4 years ago and purchased a refrigerator, microwave drawer, wine refrigerator, dishwasher, and oven. Within the 4 years, my Bosch refrigerator ice maker has had to be replace twice, my Bosch oven had an electrical fire and almost burned my house down, and my microwave drawer has broken twice and cannot be repaired. I have had technicians out at least 6 times and they don't know how to fix it. I feel appliances should work for more than a couple of years. I spoke with the manager, and he said he couldn't do anything and to call the manufacturer, Sharp. I would have been happy if he offered me a discount to replace the microwave after all the business I have given them over the years. Started building a house over a year ago, ordered appliances and had them delivered and installed into our new home, all had some type of damage and the hood was never sent (back ordered apparently for almost a year). The range had a scratch and the refrigerator had damage, they came out three separate times to repair each time with the wrong parts. In December, our dishwasher was no longer working, We called and it took a month before they could come out, The tech had a family emergency on the day of the appt so they rescheduled for another three weeks. He had to order parts and they would not book an appointment until the parts came in and then it took another three weeks to. get an appointment. It still did not work so he has ordered another part. He said it would take 3-5 days for the part to come in. I called today, day 4 and the part has not been ordered. The salesperson who approached us when we walked in scoffed at our budget and took forever looking at his computer screen in order to suggest models that would fit the space in our kitchen. My son spotted one that looked like it fit the bill, and the salesperson "measured" it and said it wouldn't fit. I purchased a new dishwasher in Oct 2022. Last week it stopped functioning. I called Bill Smith and the next day and the repair man told me it was the electronic control panel. They would contact me when the part was available. I have called the service department twice, and they have indicated they do not have the part and they have no idea when it will come in, but will notify me when it does. They will not call the parts department, nor can I, to check on the status of the order. They have no idea when the repair might take place. I called Steve Nielsen, the assistant manager at Bill Smith Naples, the sales person from whom I bought the dishwasher. He told me it could be six weeks or six months before the repair can be completed. There is nothing that he can do about it. I am not sure what is worse, GE appliance that fails in eight months or the appliance store that will assume no responsibility for the sale and will make no effort tory to expedite the repair. On 4-28-25 we called for service on our GE Pro three door fridge which the freezer and ice maker were not running. They could not dispatch a tech until 5-6-2025. On that date a tech arrived and diagnosed the problem and wrote down the parts he needed on the work order. He stated that a service person in the office would call us and schedule a repair call once the parts were available within 3-5 business days. On 5-19-2025 I placed a call to service to see what the status is, it now being 9 days after he was at the house and we had not recieved a phone call as promised, I was informed that they had tracking on the parts (don't know if that means they were in or not) and the earliest the tech could be out is 5-30-2025. That is one whole month that we are out of a fridge/freezer. Totally unacceptable in today's day and age. We purchased the extended warranty which is the only saving grace at this time. read more

Service department is awful. The technician that came to the house said the service department would reach out in a few days with a quote and approval to order a part. Two weeks later I called to find out the price and was told it was already ordered. I asked for the price and said it was fine. The following week he called to let me know it was 1 cent more than he quoted! I told him that was fine and then he asked me if it was ok to put in the order! I said you told me last week the order was in! No comment. He said as soon as it's in they will call you with a date to install the part. They set me up with a date at the end of February. Then they called me 2 weeks later to ask if they could come a week earlier but that date didn't work for me so I said no keep my original date please. I received a call last week to notify me of the time they would be at my house on the day I told them didn't work for me, and explained that I denied the new time slot and asked to keep the original date. I was told that date was not available anymore but they could come Monday. Here we are it's Monday I had to call the service department to get a 4 hr window when I could expect them and I was told I don't have an appointment! They said my appoint is March 24th! If you do buy an appliance from Bill Smith A&E, buy the extended warranty from the manufacturer not Smith. The Samsung fridge turned out to be a lemon. Every part was changed out, some twice. Samsung rep said had it been under their extended warranty, they would most likely have replaced with a new unit. With the extended warranty expired, the fridge once again required servicing. The person in B.S. service dept deemed the code warranted emergency service. Someone would call me to arrange an appointment. About an hour later, I received a call to say that a technician would be despatched Friday... of the following week... eight days later! Called again on Saturday to cancel the appointment. Our recent experience with Bill Smith was 5 star. I would highly recommend Lawrence, who we worked with this time. We had been looking at under counter beverage centers last spring but all were a special order with a 4-6 month wait so we could not get one as we were leaving for the season. When we came back in June, we asked for Lawrence and he not only remembered us but also what we were looking at. He and Michelle, the manager on duty, found us the 2 door under counter beverage center we wanted and it was delivered the next day. The delivery was made within the time promised. The deliver charge was reasonable. My husband and I could not have done this ourselves as the unit weighs over 200 pounds. The unpacking was done outside of our building and then brought up. The delivery people were careful bringing and setting our appliance up. If we had an old beverage center they would have also taken it away. If you want a salesperson who is knowledgeable and provides good customer ask for Lawrence Khong. * Our previous experiences with two different salesmen at Bill Smith ( Neapolitan Way store) were not positive. 3/20/20 Due to Covid 19 entire transaction done online. I chose from many options of washing machines after due dilligence. The machine was delivered two days later, not a scratch on it. Clean, well dressed young man took out old machine and installed new one without a ding or scratch to machine, walls or flooring. I had a solid experience working with my sales rep Lawrence and local leadership (especially in light of all the shortages and delays) - but DO NOT USE McLeod Installations if they are referred to do your install - especially if you are doing anything built in. I had to uninstall the work done by them, they could not handle the double oven install - citing "cabinetry issues" - they made no effort to arrive at a solution with my contractor - who I made sure was on site for installs. Left with ovens sitting in my living room - I then hired an alternate installer (who was excellent) to uninstall their work (which was super shoddy) and reinstall both the fridge and double ovens - it now looks perfect! I requested a partial refund from McLeod - they refused and think they were paid fairly - they are rude, repeatedly telling me " they are the only show in town" - unfortunate that they are even on a referral list by Bill Smith. Also - customer is on hook to make sure the handle clearances are accounted for - Dacor not much help nor was sales - I recommend you have Bill Smith do a formal pre-site review - I was not aware they did this. read more

'Bill Smith Appliances and Electronics is a family-owned and operated company providing sales and service since 1954" My family has lived in Naples since 1967 and felt that Bill Smith Appliances would be a reputable and reliable company to service their customers and that they would stand behind their product warrantees, guarantees, service dates etc. I thought I would call Bill Smith Appliances and inquire about my dishwasher purchase and ask for their recommendations. I went online to check out the Bill Smith Appliances reviews on YELP. KUDOS to you Lawrence; as you did get some excellent reviews on servicing customer's concerns and needs. However, there were many negative feedbacks on the companies policies regarding poor quality service, repair, delivery issues as well as related impersonal lack of response and concern to customers who paid in full with warrantees etc. I was disappointed to see all these negative responses from their customers who put their faith and trust in this company. I regret to say that I will not be calling Bill Smith Appliances as a result. Obviously some personal reviews can be taken with a grain of salt! However; the reviews of previous customers and their personal experience with vendors (positive or negative) help enable us as potential customers, to make quality decisions as to where we buy, purchase and invest our hard earned money. .
