We had a very frustrating experience with Diamond Appliance Repair LLC…read more In our experience, we paid a $125 diagnostic fee for a technician to evaluate a dryer that was making unusual noises. The technician was at our home for about 30 minutes and, to the best of our observation, did not open the machine or perform what we would consider a thorough inspection before offering an opinion. The interaction itself was just as concerning. When my wife asked reasonable, straightforward questions, the technician responded with, "I'm the professional." We perceived his tone as dismissive and condescending. It raised a serious concern for us that he may have been talking down to her, and in our opinion, it felt as though she was not being taken seriously--possibly because she is a woman. When I contacted the company afterward to address these concerns, the response from ownership, in my opinion, was defensive and unproductive. Rather than working toward a resolution, I was told, in substance, that I was "too cheap to do the diagnostic myself," which I found both inaccurate and unprofessional. Based on our experience, and after reviewing other publicly available customer feedback, it is our opinion that the $125 diagnostic fee did not reflect the level of service provided. This review reflects our personal experience and opinions only. Others may have different experiences, but we strongly encourage potential customers to clearly understand what the diagnostic process includes before agreeing to service.
