I cannot say enough about the great response and service of Applicance Doctor. I am a seasonal resident of florida and there is always an issue that needs to be resolved each year with applicances. Last year it was the freezer unit in my spare refrigerator. It is old and I dreaded having to buy a new one. But, I called Applicance Doctor and they were here within hours, determined the problem and came back with a replacement part. YOU CAN'T BEAT THAT. This year my LG dryer would not start. I called expecting to get answering service but the owner picked up the phone. And although he explained that he did not service LG's he was willing to help. He asked me what the message said, and when I explained he told me I must have hit the "safety lock" and just press and hold button and it should shut off the safety mode. IT WORKED! Called to have them come out to fix my KitchenAid electric built-in oven microwave combo that was not heating. He said Marco was difficult to service because they are located in Estero but recommended a few other service providers. Before he hung up, he asked me to check the broiler while still on the phone; it still didn't work. So he suggested flipping on and off the breaker switch. Sure enough it started working again. THANK YOU for the suggestion! Must have been the power outage/surge we had when Hurricane Idalia past by us and tripped a safety switch. After returning from a month out of town, the A/C capacitor was blown and a GFI outlet and associated outlets were also blown. read more

We Have had mixed review experiences with local appliance repair operations since moving here from Colorado 14 years ago. Very happy to say this experience with Keith at Appliance Doctor was one of the very BEST. He said he would provide a follow-up call the next morning to schedule my repair despite being overwhelmed by requests resulting from the recent storm. I thought "right". Shocked to get call at 8:30 the next morning and a service call the same morning. Problem was a broken internal wire. Repaired quickly at minimal charge. I paid $139 for a man to come and tell me that the fan probably needed replaced in my fridge, but he couldn't do it. he was nice and stayed awhile and chatted, but did not fix my fridge. I am now searching for another repair company to come fix the problem as our fridge still isnt cooling and came upon the appliance doctor and decided to leave a review. I feel I shouldn't have been charged such a high fee for him to tell me he couldn't fix it. read more

Had a strange charge crop up on my credit card, but seemed like it was from a small business, not an internet scam or anything. I called the business number on a Saturday and the owner Keith picked up the phone right away (amazing to get a business owner on the phone on a Saturday!!). Called and the technician showed up promptly to fix her washing machine which was not completing its cycles. Technician showed up ran some test on the controls said they were fine but the dryer tub had broken two of three welds.He said he knew this because the tub could be pushed back-and-forth and was kind of free-floating I said it's been like that for 15 years and he said well I'm surprise it ran. I paid him he left and I then went to the washing machine held in one of the control buttons For 30 seconds to reset the system and the machine has been running fine ever since. read more

When I called I spoke directly to a technician who actually answered the phone first try and gave advice on some things to try to fix it myself. It worked, and he saved me a bill and a dishwasher. While getting a glass from one of our upper kitchen cabinets, I felt cold air against my right ankle. While bending over I could see the rubber seals around the freezer door of our side by side refrigerator was separating from both the unit and freezer door side of the refrigerator. I continued to inspect the rubber seal and found several other locations where this separation was occurring. There was also a single section of rubber seal around the refrigerator door side that was also warping and twisting inward. Since my wife and I recently moved to Fort Myers, this was our first need of an appliance repair company. Like others, I googled "Repair of GE Refrigerators in Fort Myers" and Appliance Doctor was listed first in the search criteria. After another 30 minutes of reading previous customer comments, I contacted their Fort Myer's office and was pleasantly pleased with obtaining an appointment within two days. Before completing the call, I offered to provide the refrigerator model number in case they wanted to bring replacement rubber door seals. The technician politely responded that there may be a way to fix the existing rubber seals without having to purchase new ones. I felt increasingly comfortable about my decision on choosing the Appliance Doctor. The technician, Rich arrived and thoroughly examined the rubber door seals. He was perplexed at how the seals buckled inward on both the freezer and refrigerator doors. The technician first tried to straighten out the rubber seal on the freezer door side. After approximately twenty minutes, he stated that the damage to the rubber seal was beyond repair. He proceeded to look at the refrigerator door side and was equally concerned about a similar warping in the lower corner of the door. Since the refrigerator was relatively new, but out of warranty, I thought it was best to have both seals replaced at the same time. The technician stated that he would order the rubber door seals upon return to the office and they should have the replacement seals within a couple of days. Once received, he would to schedule an appointment. As promised, I received a call three days later to arrange for the technician to come out to replace the seals. Upon his arrival and opening the sealed box, one of the new rubber door seals were damaged beyond use. The technician repeatedly apologized and said he would talk to the owner to get another set expedited, at no additional cost to me. I was contacted two days later by the technician from Appliance Doctor who stated that the replacement seals were in and he wanted to schedule a time for installation. The technician added that he had asked the owner to join him for this appointment since he had far more experience on replacing refrigerator door seals, especially the new magnet type. To the relief of the technician, even the owner with much more experience had issues getting the new rubber seal on the freezer side door. After approximately 30 minutes, the owner had the new rubber door seal completely installed. The focus quickly shifted to the refrigerator side door. He too examined the warped rubber door seal that was identified by the technician. He believed with heat, he would be able to re-shape the rubber seal. Since there was only one bad location on the refrigerator side door, he believed it was worth the chance before attempting to replace the whole rubber seal on the refrigerator side. After 15 minutes heating and remolding the gasket, the owner was able to reshape the existing gasket. Both the technician and owner remained for another fifteen minutes to ensure the rubber seal on the refrigerator door remained in place. Although I had been observing both the installation and remolding of the rubber door seals, the owner asked me to come over and do a final inspection of their work. The owner added that these types of rubber door seals take approximately a week to set firmly in place. To assist in this process, he asked that we limit opening both doors as much as possible during the next week. He also asked that we push the doors tightly once we are finished. This will also help the seating process of the rubber seals. After the work was completed, the owner amended the original work order and took off the unused rubber door seals on the refrigerator side. The owner taking his time to remold the rubber seal on the side of the refrigerator resulted in a savings of $80.00. To my surprise, he didn't increase the quoted labor portion for his time, he just wanted me satisfied. Based on this positive experience, I will continue to call the Appliance Doctor for all my future repair needs. I highly recommend that everyone else does the same. Mike V. Fort Myers read more

The tech "diagnosed" my problem without even touching my fridge or being in my house for more than two minutes. He came back two days later with a part, spent about 20-30 minutes staring at my fridge before moving to youtube tutorials. When that didn't work, he instructed me to call the manufacturer. This was a total waste of my time on two separate occasions that I missed work for, only to be treated rudely and told 'well what the f*** do you want us to do about it?' by the tech and the owner, who was called by the tech.
