Great customer service! I had some damage to my car, my insurance company called them and got me set up. The people at Estes have the customer service part knocked out of the park. They've called while my car is in the shop to tell me what's going on and estimated timelines and making sure I didn't have any questions. And I did have lots of questions and everyone was so patient and helpful. I am very happy with the service I've been receiving and can't wait to get my car back. Another awesome feature is that they're connected to enterprise so I just dropped of my car and walked next door for a rental. Awful experience. I had minor door damage backing out of my garage when my son left the door open and it struck the dry wall. They estimated $1800 to repair. A few days after dropping off the vehicle, they text me that upon inspection they've already ordered more parts and are raising the cost to ~ $2700. If you enjoy being charged ~ 50% more than the estimate provided for your repair, this is your place! read more

I get my 2014.5 Camry (see my Arlington Toyota, Palestine, IL review- I got my car! but NOT from Arlington) serviced at the Butler service center-which I LOVE, so of course their repair center would be just as great right? I will never know as I didn't get past setting an appointment with Trish. What a disappointment. Someone hit my car door so I decided to get a quote. Easy right? Not through Trish! I called Butler repair department 7/5/18 for an appointment and was scheduled 7/7/18 at 9:30. I called Saturday morning to let them know I was running late but would be there, but I was told (by someone who I am sure was Trish) I didn't have an appointment. I said what? I told her she set my appointment 2 days ago; she told me there wasn't an appointment for me. I asked if they had any openings that day and was told no. I called today, 7/13/18, to schedule another Saturday appointment. Guess who answered the phone? Trish. I ask to schedule a Saturday appointment; she told me they didn't have anything for this Saturday, but I can get an appointment on 7/21/18 at 9:30. I told her I will take that and thanked her; she asked what did I say, so I repeated myself. She hangs up. What? I call back and Christie answers the phone. I told Christie what happened and she laughed and said "she's probably busy up there", I ask if I can speak with Trish but was told no and asked if she could help me. As I start to make an appointment I tell her no thanks and hang up. I called Toyota customer service to ask them to contact the location so I can speak with a manager (I'm not typically that type, but I was pissed). The manager, Ken, called me back while I was still talking to TCS. I told Ken what happened, and he was apologetic, and offered to squeeze me in tomorrow but I passed as I am not gonna do business with a location that employs the Trish and Christie types. Ken also told me my appointment for last Saturday the 7th, shows a no-show. Go figure. Attached are screenshots of my call logs. When I do, it's because the service that I received was truly outstanding. A few weeks ago, I brought my Mazda3 and my wife's RAV4 in to Bill Estes Collision Center for hail damage repairs. Bottom line - both vehicles were professionally repaired with impressive attention to detail, finished in less time than expected, and thoroughly cleaned inside. However, it's the little things that make a customer service experience genuinely memorable. For example, when our technician noticed that my car's license plate screws didn't fit correctly (my plate rattled when I closed the trunk lid), he grabbed a couple extra plate screws without being asked and took time out of his day to secure my plate so it didn't rattle. This was AFTER the repairs were finished and the bill was paid. While the repairs were being done, the technician responded to every email I wrote in less than an hour. Every question that I asked was met with helpful, detailed, professional advice that went above & beyond a standard answer. Every single employee that my wife and I talked to was friendly, helpful, and down-to-earth - the kind of people you'd want for next-door neighbors. I would HIGHLY recommend Bill Estes Collision Center - even if they're not on your insurance company's list of "auto repair partners". Spencer an administrative assistant, Dave a well versed mechanic, and Jack a manager, were all very helpful throughout the time my car was being repaired after a collision. I was consistently impressed with the way they handled challenges and my fluctuating schedule. I asked loads of questions and each was answered with grace and honesty. They also continuously kept me updated about my car's progress, what was being done, and when tasks would be completed. This place. I will never go to this farshtunken auto body shop again if I can help it. For one, it took them several days longer than they had promised to fix our rear bumper and trunk. When you're a household with only one car, several days longer is not only an inconvenience, it's a borderline crisis. And they were very cavalier about the whole thing, as though our concerns about our car were unfounded. Second, once we finally got our car back, we started to hear a noise that had never been there before. Oh great! It turned out they actually didn't fix the thing they were supposed to fix correctly. So we took our car back (mind you, now we are without a car) and they were like, "Oh yeah, that should have been fixed the first time." No crap, Butler. So then they fixed the thing that they should have fixed the first time. We are now several months removed from our Butler experience, and so far we don't hear any noises or see any parts in need of repair. They did a great job twice on my 2012 Toyota Camry after my teen daughter damaged it while parking. Very close to my home and I've had two good experiences. The first one was terrific, last winter I had a paint transfer on my front bumper and they just removed the extra paint at no charge. I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. Second experience was just this past week. My Toyota Corolla S has a little sporty spoiler on the front bumper and I knocked it into a curb, scratching it up pretty badly. I went it and got an interesting estimate but then the ASM came out to straighten things up. Literally, he adjusted a piece of my bumper that had come lose and told me exactly what they would do to replace my little bumper. I dropped my car off around 10am on a Monday and it was ready for pickup before they closed, but I did not get a call informing me it was completed. I also an unimpressed by the couple different people I have seen running the front desk. Not very friendly in person or on the phone and overall feels a little unorganized. But the price was fair and great work was completed. I will be back! read more

I went to the collision center today and my collision estimator was Dave Glessner,he is so rude and very un communicative he just comes out takes pictures and gives you the estimate sheet and cannot or won't answer any questions you may have.Clearly I asked even though you say the car is drivable and I'm telling you I feel something wrong and my car and is louder than before,whatever is wrong it will get fixed correct? He does not answer the question and just says... It doesn't look like any other damage other than the cosmetic if you feel something it couldn't be anything else then you may need a alignment... That is not answering the question, however he just says if your scared to drive it you can just leave it here but it's just going to sit on the lot cause we are backed up and it won't get worked on until the first of the month!! TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE; AVOID. Took twice as long as expected. My car went in with a full tank of gas and came out nearly empty with 400 unexplained miles on the odometer. Don't make the same mistake I did. I was quoted $1500 and 3 days. A week later the price jumped up to $2000+ and I was told the car wasn't driveable unless I did the extra $500 in repairs. I conceded. They said it would take 2-3 days to complete. Literally 3 weeks after the initial drop off, I got the car back. In hindsight I should have called the BBB. I think this was incompetence more than it was a scam. When I asked them to "make it right" at the end of my experience. They agreed I was mistreated, they apologized. I told them I wanted to pay the original quote of $1500 considering the 2 1/2 week delay completing the work. They said, "No, we should have charged you another $300 for a part we forgot to include in the bid, so technically you saved that money." I almost lost my mind and walked out the door. read more

Several years back, I was stopped at a red light and a car slammed into me from behind, pushing my Camry into the car in front of me. All three cars sustained damage, with mine getting the brunt of it. My insurance company sent me to Butler Auto Collision. It worked out well because there is an Enterprise Rental next door, and so my insurance company arranged for me to drop off my car with Butler and pick up a rental at Enterprise. I didn't have to rearrange my schedule or take off of work or ask anyone else to drive me around. Butler handled everything, including payment, directly with my insurance adjuster and insurance company. I really don't know how much the repair cost, so I can't speak to pricing, but I was very pleased with their quality of work and with their turn-around time. read more

The estimate was done promptly, I dropped my car off on a Tuesday morning and someone from the shop called me every day with an update/status on the repairs. They told me 3 days and 3 days it was. Nice enough guy, but I received subpar repairwork. Giving him the benefit of the doubt I returned to inform him of my experience with one of his staff. Starts like this: First I arrived at 4:20 for a 4:30 appointment and no one came out until after 5. so I let that slide...they kept my car for two weeks and explained they had to RE-order a bumper because the first order came in wrong...Ok. The daily phone call guy reassured me that these guys do fantastic work. I felt reassured. I finally got my car back and noticed as I was driving throughout that week a rattling sound that happened sporatically. I called and was told to email the mechanic guy directly. I did and he asked when I wanted to bring it in to look at. I said 4:30. His reply was all the guys are gone at 4:30 for this case....I emailed back and got no response for what would be a good time, and could I get a rental if I brought it in earlier. So I dropped by in person, and a worker came out to address my car and drove it around the block by himself. (after 4:30) He returned and said he heard an item sliding in my side door or possibly the sound was change rattling. I guess I looked like I just fell off a potato truck to him... I asked him to ride with me this time and we did and I assured him the sound was not change rattling or anything in my door and it finally made the sound and he said it was my transmission and to put higher quality gas in my KIA. If that didn't work, bring it back. I asked if he thought maybe they missed putting something back on. He looked at the paperwork and pointed at things and said "no, ma'am ,this was nothing on our side" Anyway, I felt brushed off and a few days later, the guys changing my oil at Goodyear said they could look into the noise for me. They noticed that the bumper was not lined up evenly and bolts and clips were left off underneath causing the rattling sound. My car was not put back together right and not "fantastically" done. I felt very insulted that the mechanic did not even look at it and brushed me off with change rattling and transmission stories. I had Goodyear print off all the problems they found and I gave it to the original guy that helped me and he apologized. Goodyear fixed the car for free. That's right...Goodyear. That's what happened. I just don't really know what to think. Is an apology enough? considering I feel like he was sincerely disappointed in his staff member? I would love to give the business another chance, but I need to be able to trust my mechanics and don't feel a sense of them trying to lure me back. read more

Worst mechanics ever. I waited 2 hours for them to tell me what was already wrong with my car. Then they told me how much it would be to fix, and the estimate was roughly $200 more than what I had seen online. And they couldn't perform a simple fix to my heat/aircon problem that a local mechanic was able to accomplish in 2 minutes free of charge. DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE. They have free coffee in the waiting room, but you might as well spill it all over your lap and try and sue them for $1 million dollars, because that is what it will take to break even. People I would trust over Butler Toyota include: Judas, teenagers, Kim Jong Un, Michael Jackson's doctor, and the Cleveland Brown's head coach telling me they are going to have a winning season. Hyperbole aside, don't bring your car here for any sort of diagnostics or part replacement. There are plenty of trustworthy independent mechanics that will be much more helpful and a lot cheaper. read more

This company is amazing. My wife had a damaged mirror and another company said it had to be replaced and would be $600. The repaired it for $175. They are straightforward, highly skilled and meet with their deadlines. I had another more extensive repair job and had a similar exceeded expectations experience. I selected this place to do the hail damage repair in my car and I had a very bad experience. I dropped my car three business days before the scheduled date because I had to travel on business and the repair took 4 weeks to be accomplished, when the estimated time was 2 weeks. I was told that I would get regular updates by e-mail about the status of my car, but after waiting 10 days I decided to call. The person that was responsible to provide the update was never available. I called several times (I mean, A LOT OF TIMES), always provided my contact information to get a call back and nothing. In the few times that I was able to talk to the person, there was never a reliable status about the repair, estimated delivery date. The blame was always transferred to my insurance company, but there was no evidence that this was true. Anyway, the lack of availability to provide feedback, the lack of care about calling back is unacceptable to me. The quality of the repair was ok, but they lost the radio antenna that was in the roof. Again I contacted the person and asked if they could look for it in the shop. It's about a week now and no reply, as expected. This is a very bad example of customer support. read more

I cannot stress enough how HORRIBLE of an experience I had and am continuing to have with this place! I went there because my car is a Toyota and thought that a Toyota body shop would be the best place to go, i was SO wrong. I was in an accident at the beginning of Nov. and took my car in right away, it is going to be January in 2 days and i am STILL WITHOUT MY CAR! Twice now they have given me a date to pick it up, and then on that date have called me and told me its gonna be another "couple of weeks or so". HOW CAN YOU NOT KNOW THIS?! I have to call to get updates and they continually blame it on my insurance company (which it looks like they have done to other people) and I have never once gotten an apology for my inconvenience from anyone!
