With COVID19 making people want to be outdoors for a change people have been going nuts buying outdoor equipment and especially bikes. My girlfriend decided after a year of window shopping to finally buy her first mountain bike. We do a lot of riding but usually I'm by myself on the MTB. We looked everywhere and most of the shops in Louisville KY where we live are wiped out of affordable bikes. We ended up finding the bike she wanted in Cincinnati. Let me just say Greg and the people at Team Cycling and Fitness were the best. Greg really took the time to make sure the bike fit, was adjusted properly, had everything she needed and even gave us a spacer for the disc brakes since we use a roof rack with my car. In the past 3 years, I have purchased and maintained 2 Trek bikes through this small business on Colerain Avenue. It is a small shop, but the employees have always helped me to decide on the best bike for my price range, size and needs. I went to the competitors and by the time I walked out, I was so confused about bike brands and features, I returned to this no-nonsense shop that features a limited number of bike brands. I was able to purchase my newest Trek on a specific weekend of 20% discount on everything. I purchased a new bike helmet with help, after many fittings. I even received 2 years of free maintenance with that purchase. My boyfriend is a road cyclist and it really opened me up to a whole new world. I decided for my needs, I wanted to purchase a hybrid. After spending a couple of weeks trying to decide on what I wanted, I settled on a Trek 7.2 FX WSD. Specifically, I wanted one in matte charcoal. Come to find out, Trek is in the middle of changing their FX lineup and is phasing out the 7.2. I sort of panicked, because I figured it would make the one that I wanted a bit more difficult to find.. I was right! After calling multiple shops, including the Trek stores themselves, I was having no luck. Completely by chance, I found TEAM Cycling & Fitness online and gave them a call. I couldn't believe it, but they had one in stock in my size and preferred color. Fate! I made the 30 minute drive and was immediately greeted by a nice gentleman asking me if there was anything I needed. I told him which bike I was interested in and he walked me straight to it. She was a real beauty! He threw her right onto an indoor trainer (a lot of shops will let you ride around outdoors, but they are located right on busy Colerain Ave, so for your safety you are kept inside) and got me fitted. He was swift about it and encouraged me to ride hard to see if it was up to par by my standards. I had a few adjustments that needed to be made, but he was extremely patient with me and was totally fine with me complaining about the seat height more than anyone ever should. After having it properly fitted and getting a sense for how it felt, I decided to take the plunge. We did talk price for a few minutes but ultimately, they gave me what I felt was a wonderful deal. I purchased a couple of extras and was quickly out the door with my new baby. Since then, I've ordered a pannier set, fenders for both tires and took the bike in for installation of the fenders, as well as for a tune up. They were done in ONE DAY! And the service was prompt. I took her out for a spin that night and was impressed with how much better the brakes felt. These people know what they're doing. I'd recommend them in an instant! read more

I LOVE this place! I always try to think of reasons to come back as they're all friendly, know their stuff, and won't give you a run around. No pressure ever, and they're very good at telling your how it is. Bought my first adult bike here to commute back and forth to work, and have bought many accessories since. I also had a major tune-up done on my wife's bike and feel very confident about the work they've done. I was in the market for a bike last summer and completely clueless as to what I needed, what brand to buy, etc. After talking with the salesman about what I needed, they were very helpful in recommending a bike and then fitting me for the bike. The bike purchase comes with a free tune-up, which is a pretty good value. My experience purchasing a bike here was fantastic. Extremely helpful, patient,friendly and knowledgeable. I bought a frame and had it built up with Shimano components (DI2 6870 and RS785 disc brakes). I also had a wheelset built for me. When I'm dropping this kind of cash, I have high expectations and they knocked it out of the park. The little details on the bike stood out to me (bar end plugs had the graphics the right way, stem cap logo was orientated correctly, bar taping was one of the best/"pro" jobs I've seen). Functionally and fit wise the bike is spot on for me. I never felt like anything was "pushed" on me. To me, this is about all I could ask from a bike shop and I wouldn't hesitate to go back myself or send friends and family there. The bike work is all work I can and have done all myself but I wanted to support a LBS and I'm glad I did. Also, the communication from them was excellent. Since the bike was being built up, it took a bit longer but I was never in the dark about anything. Everything was done in the allotted timeframe provided. I also received follow-up asking how everything was with the bike. Simply awesome!! read more

I placed an order on their website on 10/2/2011 for a seat post of a certain size that was said to be in stock. I got an e-mail from them the next day telling me the seat post would be available on 10/12. They asked me if I wanted to wait or if I would settle for an alternative, but I wanted that OEM brand and needed that size, so I said I'd wait. On 10/6, they e-mail me again and say it will ship within 3 days of 10/12 and I will have it no later than 10/20. They message me again on 10/21 and tell me it won't ship until the Thursday of the following week. I send an e-mail to them on 10/29 asking if it has shipped yet and they say no and place the blame on their supplier shipping. It's not until 11/3/2011 that I finally get an e-mail with the tracking number telling me the package is going out that day, more than a month after I had ordered the seat post. Meanwhile, had this shop updated their website when the item was out of stock, I wouldn't have placed the order and this mess would have been avoided. read more

I'm not a regular bicyclist, but I do enjoy it in the summer. I needed new tires and tubes and went in pretty clueless. They were super helpful and didn't push the more expensive brands.
