I have been to this location many times in the past when looking for bike shoes and gear…read more They have a huge selection of ski wear on sale and have bought from them in the past even though not a big skiier. Be careful as walk through the store as their floor is not even and no signage as we tripped a few times as walk to left of store .Surprisingly, they haven't fixed that in the years they have been there. Tripping hazards aside, the store has a pretty descent selection of run and biking gear . Personally , like the Katy and Memorial City locations better for customer service and knowledge of products.

Stellar Service from Juan Rivera at Sun & Ski!…read more I brought in my GT mountain bike and my wife's COOP for routine service, and we ended up getting way more than just a tune-up -- we got a masterclass in customer care from Juan Rivera. Juan isn't just a bike tech; he's a total pro who knows his craft inside and out and knows how to connect with people. Talking with him is easy -- he explains everything clearly, never talks down, and genuinely wants what's best for your ride (not just what's best for the register). When I asked about upgrading my GT, Juan gave me real-deal advice: skip the pricey overhaul for now and go with a smart, phased upgrade strategy. That kind of honesty is rare, and it's why I'll always trust his recommendations. He even caught an indexing issue another shop missed and gave my wife thoughtful guidance on her bike's chain wear. You can tell he treats every bike like it's his own. Bottom line: if you're in the market for service, gear, or a new ride, ask for Juan Rivera. He's knowledgeable, down-to-earth, and makes Sun & Ski's bike shop a place you'll actually want to come back to.

I originally just wanted a bike for…read moreexercise and wasn't very familiar with higher-end bicycles, but after visiting several bike shops around Houston, Planetary Cycles and Adam immediately stood out. Adam and his staff were extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and welcoming, and they took the time to explain everything without making me feel like I was out of my element. I ultimately decided on the X-Lab RS7 Di2, a full-carbon bike with electronic shifting that I got for around $3,300 W/ Continental tires upgrade. Still about half of what I would have expected to pay for a similar bike from some of the bigger-name brands. Adam gave me a great breakdown of X-Lab compared to the larger brands, and I'm extremely happy with my decision. They also did a customized fit based on my height, riding style, and what I wanted out of the bike, and Adam helped me with upgrades like better Continental tires, a more comfortable saddle, and pedals. Travis was also great and took the time to explain additional accessories, maintenance, and everything I needed to know about the electronic shifting and taking care of the bike. The customer service was honestly what impressed me the most. Adam consistently stayed in contact with me and kept me updated on the bike's arrival, which was important because this particular model has been difficult to find and sells out quickly. I had contacted other shops that said they would take my information and get back to me, but I never heard from them. Even though Planetary Cycles is about an hour across town from me, I specifically wanted to give them my business because of the level of service I received. Adam and his entire crew made the whole experience easy, comfortable, and enjoyable, especially for someone who is still learning about the cycling world. I couldn't be happier with the bike or the experience, and I'll definitely be going back to Planetary Cycles for future bikes, upgrades, and service. Highly recommend Adam and his team to anyone, especially if you're newer to cycling and want a shop that will actually take the time to educate you and make sure you get the right bike and setup for your needs.
