We were fortunate enough to have Alex as our server, and he truly elevated the entire experience. He was knowledgeable, personable, and did an excellent job walking us through the menu and offering recommendations and specials. After hearing his suggestions, I decided on the Snow Crab Cluster paired with a Sirloin, baked potato, and a side of whisky peppercorn sauce. It was a fantastic choice. The steak was cooked perfectly to my liking, the crab was fresh and flavorful, and the whisky peppercorn sauce tied the steak together beautifully. The drinks were equally impressive, and the wine pours were generous enough that I definitely felt I was getting good value. What stood out most, however, was the service. Alex was attentive throughout the meal, ensuring everything arrived correctly and that our glasses never sat empty. Between the excellent food, delicious drinks, and outstanding hospitality, I couldn't have asked for a better place to spend the evening reconnecting with my friends. The Keg delivered on every level, and I'd gladly return the next time I'm in Montreal. Thank you!

Our waitresses recommendations were fire. We enjoyed: Complementary bread: it was soft on inside and appropriately crunchy but not overly so on the outside. Plus two huge pieces cut into 4 pieces individually. Beef tartare: at 20 cad it was a little pricy for how much you got but the taste was great and I'm a fan of comte cheese. Plus it didn't have capers which imo overwhelms tartares. Duck with carrot: as a Chinese person I've had my share of duck but this might be the best duck I've ever had in my life. The texture and cook on it was awesome! First it came with three pieces of breast. It was the perfect cook, not over like most of the places I've had duck. Then the leg had the perfect crispy fatty skin to meat ratio. Yum yum this is a can't miss dish here Burger: husband got this. I took a bite. It had a nice smoke to it and was perfectly medium rare. I was too distracted by my duck to analyze it further. Raspberry jelly for dessert: as the waitress had mentioned, it was light and a perfect sweet but tart bite. Was great! Would come here again, we had l'express earlier in this trip and place carmin blows that place out of the water.

I chose the seafood entrée, which turned out to be a mistake. After speaking with several others who ordered the same dish, it seemed that we all had a similar experience. The clams and mussels did not taste particularly fresh, and some even contained sand. I wish I had ordered the duck instead, as it appeared to be a much better choice. I ended up eating not much of my main course because of the seafood quality.

The food was excellent, well prepared, and beautifully plated. For a steakhouse they had some nice lighter options, seafood and veggies included. They have an extensive drink menu and some unusual specialty cocktails. While we were there late on a Thursday night, and the restaurant didn't seem crowded, the service was somewhat slow. We had multiple waiters coming in and out and sometimes it was hard to find someone to order a drink. Ultimately, this is a nice, more upscale restaurant perfect for a business meal or special occasion. Food: 5/5 Service: 3/5 Ambiance: 3/5 Value: 4/5

My husband's flank steak was perfectly cooked to medium rare and very tender. The restaurant itself is huge and multi-level inside, but since I was joining dinner, we settled onto the large patio out front. There are plenty of tables, lots of room, and I was welcomed without any issue. Then the staff brought me a water bowl. And by "bowl," I mean what appears to be a small aluminum swimming pool. I respect their understanding of VIP service. Mom ordered the penne with prosciutto and mushrooms, covered in Parmesan, along with a Diet Coke. Now, I don't like to pull rank, but I am an Italian Greyhound sitting at an Italian restaurant while someone eats prosciutto directly in front of me. Surely there are laws governing this. Apparently not in Canada. Mom said the pasta was delicious. I spent dinner alternating between relaxing on my cooling mat and staring upward in a manner I felt clearly communicated, Perhaps the tiny Italian gentleman would like some prosciutto? No response. Still, this turned out to be a great easy option for a late dinner with a dog. The patio is spacious, I was genuinely welcomed, and the staff made sure I had plenty of water. The space is intimate and modern and the ambiance is happy. What's not to like? My Lychee Martini had great Lychee juice but the alcohol substance was nil. Hubs said the same about his Negroni.
