Once we are done with our food, we did opt for a taster. My husband had to go through several different bottles before he found one they actually had in stock. That is one of the downside is the whiskey library that is online is not always reflective of what they actually have in stock as he was really looking forward to trying the old Fitzgerald birthday, but alas, they did not have it in stock. I already loved it for the burgers, the french fries with their wonderful sauce, and of course, the custard but now they have a salad as well. Really fresh greens with my favorite burger on top as a garnish. Low-carb great taste and totally filling. But not so filling as to not leave room for that wonderful custard. On this particular visit, I did run into an issue which I will not lower my rating because of, but want people aware of so it does not happen to them. If you have a coupon for a discounted custard, and they ring in any other item after that, it will restore the custard to the full price on their register. I did not notice that and paid the full price. The manager did give me a card for a free custard next visit so they certainly took responsibility but just wanted people aware to keep an eye on that. In defense of the staff, I don't think they noticed either that it had occurred, so I did not allow that to detract from my impression of five star service from their pleasant, friendly and attentive staff Of course the custard is a star. It comes in all sorts of different ways to serve it. I tend to usually be a purist indeed, as a soft serve, but sometimes their specials are so exciting that I cannot resist. I have never tasted any of them that I did not find awesome. Their steakburgers should not be left as an afterthought. These are not like other fast food burgers; the meat is actually very tasty and because there's not any "proprietary" seasonings on it I even order an extra one so that I can sit outside with my puppy and she can enjoy it. It is small enough to not be unhealthy for her and big enough to be a satisfying snack. Its fat content does not make her ill like the typical fast food burger would. I personally like the fries and find the sauces to be quite good. Prices are more than reasonable and they have hours that make them convenient whenever you're hungry or craving that custard fix. I am a Freddy's fan and wish they would open one closer to where I live in Miami.

All we wish we could do is give our waitress a separate five star review, because she deserves it and more. The dinner experience was fine - nothing to brag about, mind you, but it was good. The problem started after dinner, when being tired from 10 hours on amusement rides and facing a one hour walk back to our hotel, I mistakenly left our credit card on the table and left. We were about twenty minutes away when we realized our mistake. I ran back to the restaurant and explained what had happened. She smiled, reached into the top drawer (filled with pencils and loose paper - hardly secure) and pull out our credit card. She handed it to me just as another employee grabbed it out of her hand and looked closely at the card. The new employee demanded to see me ID, which I produced. Herein lies the rub - this card was in my wife's name. I produced my Driver's license, pointed out how the last names were the same and it confirmed I was married. So, just to wrap up a little: This employee knows we were here about the time the card was lost. The employee knows the last name matches on the card. I was becoming frustrated when my wife walked in. She has an amazing memory and was able to recite the card #, expiration date, and security code. Still not enough. The employee next demanded that we walk our two children back to our room and retrieve my wife's id. Just then our original waitress appeared and asked us if we had found our credit card. So now we have all of the above proof, and the waitress is confirming our identity as the owner of the credit card. The uptake? Visited: July 5, 2025 This was a one-time visit and, unfortunately, not the experience we had hoped for. We arrived without a reservation and were pleasantly surprised to be seated within 10 minutes. The environment was welcoming, and the decor was very nice. Our waiter, Jesus, greeted us and brought waters soon after we were seated. He didn't explain the menu or offer recommendations, but that didn't bother us at the time. However, about an hour later, a group was seated directly behind us, and we noticed a stark difference in service. Jesus took the time to walk them through the menu in detail, even sharing his personal recommendations. Within 20 minutes, they received their food, while we were still waiting--over an hour after placing our order. We had our teens with us and didn't want to make a scene, but we couldn't help but feel we were being treated differently, possibly due to our ethnicity. We truly hope that wasn't the case. When we finally received our food, it was disappointing. The steak, burger, and chicken sandwich were all cold, and the fries tasted like they had been sitting out. My salad was missing the dressing I had requested on the side. We politely asked to speak to a manager and expressed our concerns regarding the delay, cold food, and lack of attentive service. While the manager apologized, offer was made to correct the situation. We declined the meals and left disappointed. Absolute disappointment. Our reservation was for 8:45 pm and we arrived early, which allowed for early seating. The waiter, Eric was very pleasant, but did seem a bit overwhelmed. He ask for our order and immediately took our appetizer and main course order. The place was busy and we anticipated a slight delay. Well 45 plus minutes go by after placing our order and still no food. Eric, the waiter, comes to the table and says to his surprise, "they haven't brought your food?" A few minutes later out comes our food. The majority of it was cold so we made the waiter aware which in turn brings out a floor manager who is apologetic. He in turn takes our order to replace it. We wait another 30 plus minutes only to have a missing order when the new order comes out. Which was no better then the prior order. My food was warm at best. At this point we were all beyond ready to leave. The Bigfire manager in charge comes after everything has already spiraled out of control, with what seems to be a bad attitude. After almost two hours he doesn't own any of the issues or apologize for any of it, rather take 15 percent off the 7 person bill, 35 dollars. Such a disrespectful way to address a bigger problem. My time is worth a lot more then 35 dollars and with 7 of us there it's just a shame. I suggest Bigfire needs to take a hard look at the process. read more

The Wagyu steak was incredible--perfectly cooked and full of flavor--and the Old Fashion's were some of the best we've had. What truly made the night exceptional, though, was the outstanding service from our waiter, Josh. From the moment we sat down, he was warm, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. Had dinner here with my parents and our meals were nothing to write home about. For the price the meals were underwhelming. My parents both had the short rib pasta and found it to be bland and my dad's meat was all fat. The sherry sauce accompanying it did not taste like it had any sherry at all. I had the filet mignon and while the steak was cooked perfectly and had a great texture it was EXTREMELY salty. Like so salty I had to cut off the sear so that it was edible. The fries were good and my cocktail was okay. The table we got was so spacious, plus it had a little nook to put all the stuff and backpacks. Our server, Edgar, was absolutely amazing! He kept our drinks full, kept our table clean from plates and extra cups from refills, and always had a smile on his face. The inside was absolutely beautiful; it felt as if we walked under the water into the restaurant. It had lots of space, so there was room between the tables, and you didn't feel like you might bump into someone else. We ended up with an edge seat facing outside and sat (comfortably) 6 adults at the table. In total, we ordered: Spanakopita Dip (gluten-free bread), Parmesan Cream Shrimp Bucatini, Braised Chicken Rasta Pasta, Brick Oven Roasted Chicken (gluten-free), Greek Salad, and a Wagyu Beef Burger. Also ordered a Creme Brulee for dessert. We also ordered the spanakopita dip with gluten-free bread; the bread was delicious! The dip was served warm (I thought it was a chilled dip, but I'm happy that it wasn't cold). The dip was great! It had great flavor and lots of feta cheese and tomatoes. My own preference, I would've loved some more feta and Kalamata olives on top. The gluten-free bread was great again; it was fluffy and didn't have that usual taste that GF bread sometimes has. The pita chips/bread were good too; I wish the chips had more seasoning. Some were crunchy, and some weren't as dry; that was the only negative. We all ordered different things, and they do have gluten-free options and can make most things gluten-free that aren't specified on the menu. The manager will handle the gluten-free meal, including taking the order, checking with the kitchen, and delivering it to the table. The dip was delicious (again) (4.5/5). We got the Parmesan cream shrimp bucatini (3.5/5), braised chicken Rasta pasta (4/5), brick oven roasted chicken (gluten-free), Greek salad (2.5/5), and a burger (3/5). The shrimp bucatini had a rich, creamy sauce with lots of Parmesan in it and on the pasta, plus a decent amount of shrimp and something similar to bacon. I wish it had more sauce, but that's a personal preference. If you're lactose intolerant, definitely make sure you have some lactose pills to help with that. It had a great creamy flavor; the shrimp was cooked well and seasoned well too. The chicken pasta was good; the chicken was cooked well and very well seasoned. I wish it had more sauce (but again, I like things saucy). The chicken was delicious! It had a great seasoning finish and cooked perfectly; it was tender and perfectly cooked. I wish we'd gotten another order of that to share at the table. The salad was alright, nothing too fancy or too special about it, but it was refreshing to have. It would be better as a side salad for a table than an individual meal. (The salad is NOT gluten-free, as they have the crackers as layers inside the salad; kind of similar to lasagna layers. But you can have them not put the crackers inside if desired). The burger was good too, just a regular burger. Nothing too special or fancy about it, besides it being a wagyu patty. The creme brulee was delicious as well. That top sugar layer was absolutely beautiful and a wonderful crunch to get through. Overall, a great experience eating here. Edgar, our server, made it extra special and did a phenomenal job going above and beyond for us. Will definitely come back here when we go back to Universal!

The food: As a main, we ordered the seared scallops. They were cooked perfectly and the accompaniments (grits, squash, maple gastrique) were positively lovely: the flavors and textures were so thoughtfully balanced. (To note, this normally comes with pancetta but we asked to omit since the food at Universal is generally bacon-heavy...would def order that way again.) We also enjoyed the tomato burrata salad and thought the inclusion of caponata was an inspired, fresh take on a classic (though, as sicilians, we'd have tweaked the caponata to add capers (instead of salt), a teaspoon of tomato paste, and a pinch of sugar). We ended with the brilliant panna cotta. As you can see from this review, we're rather...particular, so when we say this dessert was perfect, we don't do so effusively. The pops of pineapple were bright but in the right proportion, the panna cotta itself was a masterfully cooked silken cloud, the accompanying coconut meringue disc was a wonderful counterpart that was somehow both crisp and ethereal, evanescing in seconds on the palate...sheer perfection. Drinks: The American whiskey selection (mid-range) was expertly curated, and the spice route old fashioned and espresso martini are both not to be missed.
