Delicious, low key, unusually crafted wraps. The service is a walk up and order counter. The employees were very knowledgeable and put up with me when I asked a few questions. It's located right in downtown Aspen, and it's a casual walk up place with friendly vibes. I love that it's actually affordable. Nothing in Aspen or the valley is anymore it seems. Cute little shop. Long line at 1230 pm so it must be the spot to go in Aspen for lunch. We were just passing through after returning from hiking conundrum hot springs and thought we would give this a try. There are a few stools you could sit on in the window area otherwise i would not plan on hanging out in here to eat your meal. The menu was not labeled really for gluten free or vegetarian. i just had to eye ball it. I did ask when I got to the clerk if the tofu was gluten free alas it was not whatever they coat it in has gluten in it sadly. I ended up ordering a salad and paid extra to have hummus added onto it since i could not do the tofu and dont eat meat. It was really good though. My friend ordered a wrap and really enjoyed her meal as well. they do offer some smoothies here but they are based with fruit juice vs. like a nut milk so opted to not get one. Food was very tasty. Service was good. The guy doing the check out was very friendly. Would definitely come back if in the area. 4 stars only because of the menu (online nor in person) not being labeled for dietary needs. First the good. For the most part, the wrap I got, the pesto wrapture, is delicious. And in this town getting a huge wrap for 13 bucks that would usually feed me for two meals (still up in the air about today... Pretty dead from hiking so I might crush it) is SOLID Now they're not so good... First and foremost I found a chicken bone in my wrap. I doubt this is their standard and thankfully I didn't swallow it, but still very problematic Second... They're really slow and they could definitely use some systems as another reviewer has mentioned to streamline their ordering process as well as their turnaround. It looked like only two people working the line for everything other than smoothies and that included the in person line and to go orders. Granted it's a small place so I don't know how much more space they have but somethings gotta give point on top of it, maybe because they're so busy, both people working or just sour and standoffish. The person on the smoothie side who actually rang me up was better but overall the vibe and there was... I have a deep respect for this establishment, as it is the one place in Aspen (perhaps outside of NY pizza) that you can truly get an affordable lunch. With that being said, I find the wraps to be somewhat underwhelming. They serve them in an uncooked, room-temperature tortilla that doesn't hold together. For Aspen, this is an actual hole in the wall (basement) affordable lunch option. We came here after snowshoeing and got a wrap to hold us over until dinner. My husband and I split the Swift Kick wrap with steak, and got a side of chips and guacamole (very reasonably priced). The wrap tasted very fresh, albeit a little wet (I think from the salsa). Not the best wrap (honestly it was more like a burrito) that I've ever had, but it was very solid especially for the price point. This place offered a huge selection of wraps/salads/smoothies with vegan/vegetarian options. What a gem! The "to Thai for wrap" caught my eye immediately and it was even better than I thought it would be. It had the flavor of pad Thai in a loaded burrito with jasmine rice, tofu, black beans, veggies all wrapped in a Chile tortilla. This thing was massive but I ate it all and was full the rest of the day! It had to be the best wrap I've ever had. I also tried a side of chips with the medium salad and the chips were so good! The salsa had so much corn, which I like but if you're not big on corn maybe try a different salsa. They only accept cash, but they have an atm on site. The main reason there is always a line out the door is that this place is super slow; they *desperately* need to revisit and streamline their ordering and payment process to make it a reasonable lunch spot during a noontime rush. Wraps are interesting and not bad, but the wraps are bogged down with lots of unseasoned bulk (rice, mashed potatoes) and lack zing. Hands down, best meal I had in Aspen and I dined at quite a few fine dining establishments. I had the Pesto Wrapture 3 days in a row. So filling and yummy. That cilantro pesto is to die for! When you consider the value, the service, the taste and the convenience all combined make this place a reliable, healthy and delicious go to spot for lunch or dinner. The owners are absolutely wonderful and it's clear that the locals love this place based on the fact that most people in line were returning customers who were clearly familiar with the owners. I went with the Garden of Eden wrap and was not disappointed. For less than $9 (cash only), I got a wrap the size of my head loaded with juicy grilled chicken, crisp veggies, tangy cheese, and lots of quinoa....it was massive and tasty! The people working here are awesome and I happily walked away with my wrap in under 5 minutes. They have a really fun menu that is perfect for lunch or a quick bite.
