I was having a great day. That is, until I walked past The Big Wrap after a long day of boarding. I was hungry and wanted something quick. I waited patiently as the young man behind the counter made his friends free wraps and cracked racist jokes. After ignoring his dirty hands and coaxing him to avoid the wilted, rotten ingredients, I watched 2 failed attempts to create my "To Thai For" wrap, then left as quickly as I could. If only my woes ended there, after eating my wrap I was quickly consumed by horrific food poisoning that never seemed to end. After 30hrs of violence coming from both ends, I drank an obscene amount of fluids as I left Aspen and felt the first moment of relief in days, feeling defeated in ways I didn't know previously possible. I reached out to the owner, an elderly hobbit of a woman who has the misfortune of living out her miserable remaining days in the Aspen Valley. She was both unapologetic and ruthless in her response, it was obvious she had dealt with many similar complaints in the past and was not interested in the suffering she inflicted upon me. What a great little place right next to the gondola. You get a lot of food for the price, fresh m, and taste so good. They even let you adjust what you want on your order. Not a lot of seating but they wrap it up nice and secure to eat somewhere else. Highly recommend this place. read more

Arrived in Aspen after a long drive starving and ready for lunch! We looked this place up on Yelp as it was cold and snowy so we didn't want to spend a ton of time walking around looking for somewhere to eat. The place is TINY, maybe there is 6 seats to eat. It's really not somewhere you want to sit down and eat but since we had nowhere to go but our car, we chose to stay. It felt very cramped and there wasn't a bathroom available to customers which was pretty unfortunate after our long drive into town. I ordered the Mr. Potato Head wrap (a vegetarian option). The wrap was quite large but it kept falling apart and was pretty hard to consume. It was filled with a ton of food but rice, potatoes, beans just felt like a bunch of filler. I should have tried something else, so that's my fault. The chips and guacamole were very good. But I am a sucker for chips and guac so that's always my go-to! read more

We have been locals for 26 years and always loved this restaurant. Two days ago my wife bought a Thai Chicken Wrap. I had a classic case of Staphylococcal Food poisoning (I am and MD with lots of experience with food safety). My wife consumed the other half of the sandwich with the same result. Amazingly I called to notify the restaurant and they had no interest in talking to me. They said they were too busy despite my making it clear that they are making people sick. I will never go there. Huge wraps for a great price compared to any other place in aspen. The Hail Caesar was a perfect flavor and mouthfeel combination as well as the Babs eque. Mashed potatoes in a burrito..come onnnn! And the brownies are to die for and super fresh. The salads also looked phenomenal and if the large size intimidates you, there's a kids menu. I was lucky enough to be able to go to The Big Wrap with my sister and was able to have my wrap halvsies thus allowing for a two tastes for one deal. We tried the Chow Baby and the Pesto Wrapture. I wasn't impressed with the Chow Baby, with pickled baby corn and really lacking that kick I expected (should've gone for the Swift Kick!). I'd go back for the Pesto Wrapture, it had all the flavors I expected with a spicy note. I chose to get my black beans on the side as well and don't think it detracted from the wrap (they're a little void of flavor). Expect a line to the door even in off season and the true Aspen attitude. Also, it's $.80 for a side of hot sauce so make sure you order it extra spicy if desired. It's cash or check only and unless you're a big hungry go for wrap or smoothie, both is a bit of a rough combination according to a friend we were sitting with. They also have quite the variety of fancy sodas, if you're feeling classy try the grapefruit Sanpellegrino, it's delicious and adds a true compliment to the Pesto Wrapture! read more

This is so-so. The "Mexican rice" looks pale and lacks flavor, the chicken is a bit under-seasoned, and overall I am a greater fan of Chipotle. However, for the price and convenience it isn't bad, especially for people with kids. The reason I give a "2.75" stars is because of the terrible cash-only policy and meh customer service. The femme-presenting blonde person was very friendly and is an asset for the establishment. The two male-presenting people were a little slothful in taking and making the orders, which I wouldn't mind but they seemed a bit dismissive, not helped by the condescending sign telling people to remain off their phones until they have finished ordering. But finally, it always irks me when a restaurant has a suspicious "cash only" policy and conveniently also has an ATM where they can pocket a nice $2 just for the pleasure of doing a transaction. Perfect stop on a roadtrip through town. Great portions, reasonable prices, and very friendly staff. Highly recommend if you're in town!

They made my wraps and accidentally gave them to another customer . They called that customer that mistakenly took my wraps and asked them to return my wraps to the store . The employee, in an extremely rude manner , asked me to wait for my wraps to be returned and be patient. He assured be that my wraps will be brought back to the store untouched . I asked him how he knows that they will not be touched. He replied, " I know" My wraps left their shop and they can not guarantee that my wraps would not be touched. In addition, they do not tape their wraps and can be easily opened and then closed. After waiting for 10 minutes for my wraps to return , I asked for them to remake my wraps . One of the employees was upset that I asked for my wraps to be remade and he announced to the line "Sorry everyone but this lady is having us remake her wraps so we're running behind. "This boy had a bad attitude . Did they really expect me to eat wraps that left their shop and we're gone for at least 10 minutes with another customer? I was appalled that they wanted me to eat wraps that were in the hands of someone else outside of their shop and how rude this boy was. read more

The most BASIC salads with chopped romaine lettuce. AND....THE ABSOLUTE RUDEST WOMAN/OWNER I have ever encountered ! I showed up as they opened at 10am because I had a large order for my boss. When giving her my order she criticized the fact that they wanted some items on the side (hello, people have allergies) claiming I'm wasting plastic. She told me to tell my boss he is obnoxious and practically pushed me out the door. I tried to explain my job as a flight attendant on a private jet so she would understand why I requested items on the side for certain guests and also to help keep things fresh as I wouldn't be serving the food till a few hours later. When I returned to pick up the food she told me I was condescending for letting her know I work on a private jet. She continued to tell me I'm ridiculous and asked me to leave and not come back. WHAT?! I TRIED to talk to her and explain myself as she continued to tell me to leave her store and the young boys that worked there gently escorted me out. I spent the next hour crying as I'm in postpartum. Listen Lady-I'm over here just trying to do my job, picking up food and spending money in your establishment.
