    Dinde
    Kyle V.

We ordered a takeout order in the morning for an afternoon pickup for our flight home. The small shop is tucked into a little shopping area in the heart of downtown Aspen. Parking is a pain like always but I was able to grab a spot a few blocks away. Our bag of food was on the counter ready and the line moved quickly. 4 sandwiches and a salad came out to $98 after a tip, typical Aspen. By the time we ate our food in the air, it wasn't warm anymore but that's not their fault. The sandwich I had was the Dinde and I really enjoyed it. The portion size was more than enough and the ingredients seemed high quality. Overall, nice little sandwich and juice shop that we will use again for meals on our flights.

    Dragon smoothie!

My new FAVE!!! Dragon smoothie is delicious. I love their sandwiches and how you can swap/customize and make it your own. I got the prosciutto sandwich but swapped prosciutto with turkey and added Dijon, arugula and tomato to the baguette in addition to mozzarella and balsamic glaze. Also loved their cold pressed grapefruit juice. Need this place to come to NorCal! Service is fast and efficient. There is seating in the building but we opted for outside since weather is gorgeous during September!

3.5/5 stars. I'm a huge fan of smoothie bowl toppings and think they can definitely make or break a bowl. I never thought I would say there is such a thing as too many toppings, but my Felix bowl at Jus Aspen was about 3/5 toppings, and only a few spoons worth of actual smoothie. The banana, coconut, and strawberry toppings were yummy, but the combination of the super sweet granola, sweetened dried cranberries, and honey drizzle made this overly sweet and hard to eat. There were so many cranberries and the excessive caramelized sugar in the granola made the bowl really hard to eat (think of tough and chewy cold gummy bears in ice cream, but x10!). I ended up picking off the toppings to make it easier to eat, and the smoothie itself had a nice taste. I would give Jus another shot for some of its salads, sandwiches, or maybe a standard smoothie without the toppings.

Just happened to be strolling by. Picked up the cold pressed Pink Panther! Delicious!!! I also grabbed a chocolate bar for later tonight and grapefruit juice for in the morning. They also serve breakfast and lunch items. I think this place is a must if you enjoy juice and other yummy things!

    All the tables were filthy

Stopped by for some juice to quench my thirst. Per fellow Yelpers recommendation I got the pink panther. It was unusual but tasty. Can't say I've ever tried anything like this. It was subtle, like rose water but with the creaminess of almond milk. It was pleasantly refreshing. I have deducted a star because every table in this place was dirty! And the trash is overflowing... we came on a Tuesday, I'd hate to see how dirty it is on a busier day...

Food was great. Service a bit slow and inattentive but they were very busy. A sign in the front would help find the place.

What a wonderful treat after a warm day of hiking. The felix smoothie bowl hit the spot and the service was excellent and accommodating.

A woman I met on the plane from Denver told me this was one of her two favorite places in town, so naturally I had to find it. As I was walking over, a complete stranger struck up a conversation, and being friendly, I chatted with him along the way. Before I knew it he was telling me he wanted to come eat with me, and I could not get my "No" out fast enough. I quickly realized he was under the influence, dealing with a mental health issue, or both and I wasn't sure how to free myself from him. I didn't even know his name. Once we sat down, I excused myself to the bathroom so I could tell the staff I had no idea who he was, or whether he intended to pay or expected me to. I'm not writing this to demonize the poor man, who at the end of the day was clearly pulling on some unconscious compassion. I'm writing it to thank the staff. Everyone was so kind, asking if I was okay, assuring me they'd split the check, and I think one of them even offered to walk me out the back if I wanted an escape route. We made it through dinner, he paid for himself, and I figured out how to shake him loose afterward. I'm so grateful for all the checking in you did throughout the evening, and for helping me not overreact. I'd wanted an app, a salad, a dessert. I also needed to get out of there. The bread was super yum, the Bolognese was decadent, and the Tuscan Chardonnay was gorgeous. I'll recommend this place to everyone. Sorry for bringing drama into your establishment. I'm sure a Michelin-adjacent restaurant doesn't need that on a Sunday. Thanks again for the great food and the great, above-and-beyond service.

Our experience at Meat & Cheese in Aspen was disappointing from beginning to end…read more To start with, the food was mediocre in every sense. The quality did not justify the prices, the flavors were forgettable, and nothing we ordered stood out. Unfortunately, what happened afterward was far worse. My wife accidentally left behind a shopping bag containing a brand new pair of sunglasses she had purchased earlier that day. When she returned to retrieve them, our interaction with a server named Carson was deeply disappointing. Instead of simply confirming ownership in a courteous and professional manner, Carson repeatedly questioned whether the sunglasses were actually hers. He kept emphasizing that they were brand new and worth around $600, making it clear that he found it difficult to believe they belonged to her. It was impossible not to feel that she was being judged based solely on her appearance. There is absolutely nothing wrong with verifying ownership of a valuable item. In fact, we appreciate businesses that take lost property seriously. What is unacceptable is allowing assumptions and stereotypes to influence how customers are treated. One lesson worth remembering is that genuine elegance and long established wealth rarely need to announce themselves. Those who have had the privilege of success across generations often feel no need to advertise it with designer logos or outward displays. True class is reflected in education, humility, confidence, and, above all, in the way people treat others. Ironically, Carson's assumptions said far more about his own judgment than they did about my wife. No customer should ever be made to feel that they need to "look wealthy" in order to be treated with respect. We hope management addresses this issue seriously. The mediocre food was forgettable. Being judged and treated with prejudice is not. Every guest deserves to be treated with courtesy, professionalism, and dignity, regardless of how they are dressed or what assumptions someone chooses to make about them.
