This was okay. I want to give 3 stars but feel that is harsh since the food was good. Just not great. The speed of the woman at the register was very slow. Between taking orders, she'd go and chat with other employees behind the counter. I never order bowls but decided to try a Canyon bowl, since it was the smoothie that I planned to order but with the addition of granola, banana, cacao nibs and walnuts. This was mostly granola and not enough of the smoothie, for my taste. There were also chunks of banana that were not puréed. I wish I'd gotten the smoothie but no regrets as you don't know if you don't try it! I just know that going forward, if I returned, I'd get a smoothie. My husband got iced coffee and said it was okay. He and my son got the turkey avocado wrap. It was pretty small but sufficient to satisfy their hunger. On our tour through Colorado THIS was the best breakfast. I am sorry I didn't get the names, but I had (essentially) a BLT breakfast sandwich and my wife had your classic egg, bacon & cheese. We both had them on jalapeño bagels. The chia was REAL (if you're a chai person you know what I mean). Ordering is walk up and they also have an ordering POS system if you know to look for it. Love this location! They have updated their hours to be open until 430 daily which is so nice! i was DREAMINING about one of their smoothies on my trek down mount massive. They have an array of food choices and plenty of gluten free/vegan options. Everything is clearly labeled so if you have special dietary needs that is always nice! You dont have to ask a bunch of questions or try to guess. They do have gluten free bagels if you need gluten free available for their sandwiches if you would like to do that. Staff was friendly and competent. Ambience of the space is cute, smaller but they are a small town. There is some seating outside as well. I will definitely be back when in fairplay! Why 4 stars? Because my breakfast and coffee hit the spot. --- --- --- We were staying at Mount Princeton resort and in need of coffee. I can't bring myself to drink hotel room, brewed coffee, so we headed into town and scored our caffeine from The Blend. Truthfully, was it that much better than Folgers from an old CoffeeMate? I don't know for sure, but I certainly didn't hate my drip coffee. It tasted like a good umpire at a baseball game: I didn't notice it. And that's what you need in a black coffee, and someone officiating a sports game. I also did something I almost never do and ordered breakfast. As a diligent faster, I usually don't eat anything until late in the afternoon, but on vacation, there are no rules. I ordered the Eddy, which was essentially a lox bagel sandwich. And it did the job. The Blend is definitely a solid option for anyone staying at Mount Princeton and it might be the closest physical restaurant away, at about 11 miles door-to-door. read more

The shop is very conveniently located right on Main Street about a block from Highway 24, has plenty of free parking nearby, is nicely decorated on the outside and inside, I was greeted upon entering the cafe, they have a nicely done electronic menu (about 4' x 4') right above the counter with simple, organized sections of the food & beverage items they sell, lots of delicious looking danishes, muffins, cookies, etc., enclosed behind a glass counter, the employee taking my order was pleasant, friendly and efficient, my medium roast coffee with caramel syrup was excellent (they had stevia), as was my blueberry muffin, and chicken salad wrap that I got for lunch at lunchtime, the dining room had adequate seating, some with padded seating and was clean, my order were served promptly, they had free WiFi that worked great, and the restroom (one) was clean and did not smell. read more

My husband and I split a hot dirty chai, açaí bowl, and potatoes breakfast bowl which was the perfect amount of food and left us feeling healthy and not like we had overeaten. The inside of the breakfast place itself was also very cute! We ended up sitting outside in the back patio. The açaí bowl came in a to go cup and was piled with granola, honey and fruit. Inside, the restaurant isn't super big, but there's definitely a few tables to enjoy your drinks/meal. For food, we ordered The Spicy Pig Bagel Sandwich and a Rancher Burrito. Both of them were amazing!! The Spicy Pig Bagel had big pieces of ham, egg, a generous amount of spicy cream cheese! I love cream cheese so I was really happy to see that they put a huge amount on the bagel! The jalapeño bagel was really good, you could definitely taste the bits of jalapeño.. yum! The Rancher Burrito had egg, bacon, chorizo, cheese, and green chile. All of these ingredients made for a bomb-diggity-dee burrito. The ratio for all the ingredients was perfect and every bite was so good. Despite there being a huge line out the door, the service was great and the food came out very quickly! Went here for breakfast during my stay in Buena Vista and thought it was pretty great food and smoothies. I had the chicken salad bowl and thought the chicken salad was great, as was the salad underneath it. It kept me going for the start of my day and I didn't find myself hungry until lunch (mission accomplished). I was hesitant at first when I saw the size of the box it came in but it was great! My wife had the Canyon bowl and my daughter has the Canyon Smoothie. I didn't try the Canyon bowl but I thought the Canyon smoothie was decent. Not overly sugary like Jamba Juice but wasn't something I would seek out myself. The workers there were very nice. I would go back here if I visit Buena Vista again and need something healthy. read more
