YUMMMMMMM! Looking for takeout food on a football Sunday, we…read moredecided to check this place out based on a friend recommendation. We showed up anticipating placing a takeout order, assuming a short wait, and that's what we got. The neighborhood was a little bit iffy, with bars on the windows of the building, and there was really no parking lot, so street parking only. It's very small inside with an order/pickup Window and no seating. There's a big menu on the wall with pictures, and paper menus to read and/or take with you. The lady working was very very helpful with recommendations, explaining dishes, and helping us to decide what to order. Fantastic customer service. The food came out EXTREMELY fast. I actually couldn't believe it was already our order. We got an array of items and everything was pretty good. We got the Panchita, which was like loaded nachos, and it was good, but being takeout, it was soggy by the time we ate it. The spicy tamales were good but dry, and I would probably try those again. The burrito was VERY good - and the green salsa was delicious!

They came three to an order for only $6, which I thought was a great value. They were a bit smaller than other tamales I've had before, but they were the best ones I've ever had. The masa was soft and not dry at all, and the tamales held together well. The ratio of filling to masa was good due to the smaller size, and the pork was tender and flavorful. These weren't super spicy but had a little kick to them. We were offered a cup of verde salsa, which was the perfect accompaniment. I'm really excited to check out Navarro's restaurant the next time we're in Muskegon. They have been family owned and operated for nearly 45 years, and with tamales this good, I can see why!

I will say that the tacos were very good and i will be back but give us some better specials. LOL. TY.

Served with a Tajin rim and a lime. I order one EVERY time we come in. Knowing we would be going to dinner later, I wasn't in the mood for a full meal. I ordered the bean dip and an a la cart ground beef tostada. Unfortunately, the bean dip was disappointing. It was thin refined beans with runny queso. If it was seasoned at all, I couldn't tell. Maybe if the cheese had been grated cheese it could have been better. I didn't complain because I assumed that's how it was supposed to be? The ground beef tostada was so good! The beef had great flavor! There was a good amount of beef and the other toppings were fresh. I would order that again, for sure! He ordered 3 carne asada taco dinner (as always) and 1 a la cart ground beef taco - American style. Easily my new favorite Mexican in Muskegon. It looks like it would just be a fast food joint from the outside but inside they have plenty of seating and a full Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner menu with table service. They do have a drive through but from what it seems it's a very limited menu, so I'd recommend eating inside or doing a pickup order to get the full experience. Tons of options to choose from. Everything was well made and flavorful, I'd highly recommend it. Prices are reasonable for the portions as well. I'm really looking forward to trying the breakfast tacos next!

This is probably going to end up being your go-to if you're in Muskegon as it's one of the only places that actually has options on the menu. + chips and guac ($7): such a HUGE portion of house made guacamole and fresh fried chips. Expect some spice with that guac too: very oniony and lots of chunks of jalapeno. Seriously, this would cost at least $11 to $14 where I'm from. + "Secret Love" vegan tacos ($5): deep fried cauliflower covered in buffalo sauce, a celery cucumber sauce, and scallions. This flavor profile is hard not to love, and these were fantastic. Good textures, very hearty. +/- "The Bruss Lee" vegan tacos ($4): deep fried brussel sprouts in an Asian marinade, kimchi, scallions, and peanuts. These were okay. Just VERY WET, kind of fell apart, and the brussels were crunchy and tough. I was so excited to get another frozen apple cider and to try the sweet potato nachos, that I came back a second night... And had a totally different experience. The first night I came (a Saturday; they were SO BUSY), the bartender was engaging, interactive. Other staff cleaning up and around customers seemed friendly and cool too. The second night (a Sunday; there wasn't more than twelve or so customers there)? They were so rude. One staff member was yelling at people to get into a single orderly line (we were) and the bartender said they were cash only (they weren't the previous night, and...) "The people in front of me just used their card," I pointed out when it was my turn. "Yeah, but now the internets down. The whole street is dealing with it. Not our problem." 1) This was not true, as I went to other businesses on the street and paid with card no problem, 2) Just an observation: it seemed like they were only telling this to people with food menus in their hand (I saw the cook repeatedly shaking his head and using his arms to make an "x" at the bartenders). I saw a few other reviews mention similarly polarizing experiences, so it's definitely something to note.
