Meat was tender and had a nice seasoning to it. The tortilla is the weak spot in most of these taco places up north, they use the ones from "El Milagro", sad because they tear even if they put two tortillas per taco. Can't load them with salsa, lime and the veggies because tortilla doesn't hold. I probably won't stop by next time or I'll just get something somewhere else.

I went a different I typically don't choose and ordered the quesadilla with smoked sweet potatoes. It comes with a southwest ranch, mango salsa, and chips. The smoked isn't an obvious feature, and the pairing of the quesadilla and the southwest ranch is a really nice bite. I liked the mango salsa on its own but didn't feel as if it was needed with the quesadilla given the sweetness coming from the sweet potatoes. As for the potato chips: no complaints from me! The dish came with a side, and I opted for the potato salad. That was quite nice, especially with some extra salt. I also had some bites of other folx in my party's sides, and they were all solid. All in all, I was pleased with the cuisine and would say "yes" to the suggestion of a repeat dining experience at Dr. Rolf's. It's a nice addition to the West Michigan food scene.

Easily my new favorite Mexican in Muskegon. It looks like it would just be a fast food joint from the outside but inside they have plenty of seating and a full Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner menu with table service. They do have a drive through but from what it seems it's a very limited menu, so I'd recommend eating inside or doing a pickup order to get the full experience. Tons of options to choose from. Everything was well made and flavorful, I'd highly recommend it. Prices are reasonable for the portions as well. I'm really looking forward to trying the breakfast tacos next!

With the cottage food law, The Bread Shed bakes in their home and sells various loaves of bread and other bread items from the bread shed in their front yard. The cinnamon rolls and sticky buns are unreal! Prices are very reasonable. You just pull up in your car and in the warmer months the bread is in the shed and you can get out and make your selection. In the colder months they will come to your car and get your order and bring it out to you. Cash, check and PayPal are accepted. They do not accept credit cards. She does take orders if you want a specific bread. She can pretty much make anything and is so good at it! She was a former baker at a local restaurant in Whitehall and then branched off on her own. The lady working was very very helpful with recommendations, explaining dishes, and helping us to decide what to order. Fantastic customer service. The food came out EXTREMELY fast. I actually couldn't believe it was already our order. We got an array of items and everything was pretty good. We got the Panchita, which was like loaded nachos, and it was good, but being takeout, it was soggy by the time we ate it. The spicy tamales were good but dry, and I would probably try those again. They came three to an order for only $6, which I thought was a great value. They were a bit smaller than other tamales I've had before, but they were the best ones I've ever had. The masa was soft and not dry at all, and the tamales held together well. The ratio of filling to masa was good due to the smaller size, and the pork was tender and flavorful. These weren't super spicy but had a little kick to them. We were offered a cup of verde salsa, which was the perfect accompaniment. I'm really excited to check out Navarro's restaurant the next time we're in Muskegon. They have been family owned and operated for nearly 45 years, and with tamales this good, I can see why!
