The setting is quaint and the host is very knowledgeable. You can tell she loves what she does. The ambiance is casual and questions are encouraged. You get to take home your goodies and are given snacks if there is a wait...and the cost is extremely reasonable. If you have enough people, the host will put together whatever class, competition, or dinner you can dream up.

I am giving a five star review not to the bakery, but to an employee who recently went so far out…read moreof their way to make up for the awful experience I had in the bakery. I been ordering a cake that I have bought four years in a row. to be told that I could not customize it the way I have for the past four years, which I did understand so I asked if I could do something similar an employee by the name of Steph was very rude to me, rolled her eyes and had a tone because I asked if I could do something similar she assumed I did not understand that I could not do exactly what was on the cake because it was licensed. However, I did understand, and she was just treating me poorly for no reason. I had asked to speak with someone else another bakery employee by the name of Maria overheard and took over the situation. She apologized to me many times helped me customize the cake similar to the cake I picked out without any problems and even went as far as to walking me down to the toy aisle to find something similar to go on the cake that was in close resemblance to the photo. I then went to a customer service to leave a good review on Mariah unfortunately though when I got to speak to someone in charge, they did not seem to even listen to a word I said I gave them Mariah's name and right in front of me he didnot even write her name down. He just scribbled an M on his notebook. Because I think that she deserves recognition for going so far out ofher way, I have decided to make a review thank you, Maria you deserve five stars!

This Bakery!!! Why don't I have a bakery like this closer…read moreto my hometown!?! Waaaaaaahhhhh!!! It's nothing from the outside. It's rundown. One tiny chalkboard sign in the window with the hours. You'd miss it if you weren't looking for it. But- LOOK FOR IT!! You will not be disappointed!! Paul the owner is the sole baker. His sister Barbara lovingly packages what you chose from the display case and cashes you out. They summer here at Silver Lake during the summers- all the way from Massachusetts! And they are just simply the best people ever! Oh the baked goods! Dill and cheddar scones 10 stars! So much dill, perfectly soft on the inside and yet a perfect brown crust. The raspberry and rosemary scones are equally as amazing, with real fresh raspberry jam in 4 little pools on top. We had nearly all the cookies in the cookie jars with the sugar cookie and confetti being our favorite. The cardamom radiating bun is unique and dense, the raisins are soaked in a orange liqueur and the top gently dusted is powdered sugar. Then there's the raspberry bar!! I only got 1 on my last day here, as we were headed home, and I'm living with regret still. Get like 6 of the raspberry bars! Don't be like me. In fact get like 6 of everything when you're here. You'd be a fool to buy any less. The prices are worth every penny, but you don't have to dish out a lot of them. Cookie will run you $1.25 for the giant ones and the massive scones that you can make a meal out of are only $1.75, my 1 raspberry bar (stupid me!) was only $2 and I swear is weighted 6oz! The face size cinnamon roll is only $2. Come here! Say Hi to Paul and Barbara, get 3 bags of goodies, a loaf of bread du jour, and a hot cup of coffee. Enjoy your items at this quaint little bakery, lots is seating, or take your items in the road. Oh- I almost forgot- THE CINNAMON ROLLS! Go look at my pictures!
