Also shoutout to the kids menu with crayons and an activity placemat, my kids were entertained the whole meal. Would come back. Good food, fair prices, and a spot that's actually fun to sit in.

I ordered an appetizer of a pound of Chicken Wings ($15) in their Sweet and spicy. It's a good thing they are served by pound rather than how many, because they are pigeon wings. That being said they were good. Nice and tender and very tasty. Not that spicy either. The main reason I came was I heard they have an excellent steak. So I ordered the 12 oz Big Ugly Steak ($36). It came out as two 6 oz strips. The steaks are aged to perfection. I really enjoyed this steak. I came in with high expectations and it was met. I got a house salad that was very fresh and also excellent. My other side was mashed potatoes and these did not disappoint either. The service was super friendly. The table still needed cleaning, so maybe slightly understaffed, but they cover really well. Overall a 5 star review. Would I return? Absolutely!

I appreciated my old fashioned (the bartender that night said she loved making them, and you could tell!), that the incredibly generous bartender *also* hooked me up with a huge skewer of olives when I jokingly told her I was too far from the ocean here in Michigan and my salt levels felt low (what a cute interaction!), and the banter at the bar from both her and the other customers seemed both organic and lively. If you're coming here for food and you're vegan... good luck. We love the bar and the overall feel of the bar area. It's different than anything else in the area. We arrived around 8pm on Sunday, 10/27/24 and sat at the bar. Lisa took such good care of us. For starters I had the French soup and he had the Caesar - minus red onion. The soup was everything I wanted it to be. The croutons were sourdough and that was nice twist. The Caesar was different. It had tomatoes, Kalamata olives, red onion and Parmesan crisps. We both thought the dressing had a very strong anchovy flavor, more than any other dressing either of us have had. He said he would get it again, I would not. We split the Chicken Milanese and the kitchen was kind enough to put it on 2 plates! And they didn't charge us! We both really liked the pasta dish. The chicken was pan fried, the perfect crunch on the outside, well seasoned and the chicken was moist and tender. The pasta in lemon sauce was light and had delightful flavor. This was one of our best experiences at Walker's. It's always been good, but tonight was great.
