I should have trusted Yelp and skipped this place but we went for the views. Unfortunately it was too windy to sit outside. Food was disappointing...ordered southwest eggrolls that were just bad. Rice was main ingredient and I don't think it even belongs in the dish at all. Found one tiny piece of chicken in one whole eggroll. Bree appetizer was tasty but so rich that it should have been served with plain toast...the buttered bread was overkill. My friend expected a sliced chicken breast in the pasta dish he ordered but instead it had little bits of boiled? Chicken...same small pieces as the southwest eggroll. Overall, I really enjoyed my meal here. We started with: Whipped Goat Cheese Dip $ 15 whipped goat cheese topped with marinated strawberries, basil pesto & aged balsamic reduction, served with toasted ciabatta The whipped goat cheese dip was very interesting. My entree was: Pan Roasted Great Lakes Walleye $ 29 sautéed asparagus, sweet peas, pancetta, roasted yukon gold potatoes & blistered tomatoes, topped with brown butter hollandaise Oh mama!! This was so yummy, I wanted to take more home. My fish was cooked perfectly, and I was so thankful I got this! We finished with: Key Lime Pie $ 8 buttery almond & granola crust filled with creamy, slightly tangy key lime filling, finished with whipped cream & toasted coconut While I liked the flavor of the key lime pie, the crust was rather soggy. I would probably get another of the good-looking desserts--I loved that the dessert menu had pictures on it. Absolutely beautiful venue for dinner. Was in Muskegon to watch the sunset and was looking for a place to eat with a beautiful view and I found it. Found this restaurant at the golf course perched way up on the hill, called and made a 7:30pm reservation with this lovely hostess with the most beautiful name Antonique. We arrived early and were able to be seated outside on the deck with the most amazing view! Our waitress was Terri who has lived in Muskegon her whole life and very helpful navigating the drink and food menu as well as giving us some background on the area and where the closest place to the restaurant was to watch the sunset (Kruse Park). Our appetizer was the lettus wrap with chicken, nuts and it had two different dipping sauces. I was partial to the thai flavored one. We ordered both the walleye and Lake Forest platter. The walleye came with two big pieces and the lake purch had five pieces. In addition, each had a coleslaw french fries and you could upgrade for sweet potato, truffle fries or fruit. Very good portions for the cost and it was also cooked to perfection. Highly recommend the fish if you're in the area. Rounded out the evening sharing a piece of key lime pie. When the pie was plated it definitely did not look aesthetically pleasing but the taste was spot on. We watched the sale boats and everyone from inside come outside to take pictures because of the view. The place was casual and classy. I was happy we could done there not being a member at the course. Plus the restrooms were well stocked and cleaned. Do not have anything bad about this experience. read more

The food is always good here and I especially like their Walleye Almondine! The service is excellent and we love the Ambiance especially on the Deck overlooking Muskegon Lake! They have a great special in January it includes New York Strip, Potatoes and a Vegetable all for $9.98. The special goes up until Valentines Day. We eat here twice a month that's how much we love everything about Lake Bluff Grille. In the Summer we eat here every Saturday or Sunday evening. read more

The Brie and shrimp appetizers were the highlight. The perch platter was an exercise in scraping off batter. The shrimp and grits were good but not the classical dish. The salmon salad was flawless and the other salad entree was sent back twice - wrong cheese and nuts not removed. The final version was good, and the restaurant volunteered to remove it from the bill. The service was pretty good. Our waitress was spread thin. I was torn between 3 and 5 stars. Food was excellent. Everyone at our table liked their food. I had surf and turf. Steak was tender and flavorful and lobster was not overcooked. Others had salmon wellington, pot roast, and perch. Only complaint was serving size of pot roast being a little small. Drinks were weak unfortunately. If we are paying $14+ for drinks, they should be a good pour. The blood orange margarita I had tasted good but not even a hint of tequilla. The worst part was service. Everything took forever. Two of us at our table used to be bartenders; the bartenders looked slow and there may not have been enough for busy Valentines day. We were not sure if it was our server or everyone combined. Everything was slow, especially drinks and getting our check (20 min). We were in no hurry but we were there 2 1/2 hours. Atmosphere is really nice. All staff were nice. Everything was awesome! I ordered the ahi tuna and it came out on a 500 degree flaming lava rock and the presentation was amazing 10 out of 10 and I loved how they let you seer the tuna! It was huge, almost like a 14 oz New York strip! And noodles were amazing! Our server was so so sweet and awesome. My girlfriend hates anything fish and ocean food. I got her to try the tuna and she goes "let's go get sushi!" I've always wanted to take her on a sushi date but she has always refused so I am so so exited she tried it hahaha! Sent the steak back 3 times because it was raw, when they brought it out the last time they brunt it. It tasted like rubber and couldn't even be chewed. This is uncalled for! The green beans tasted like they came from the microwave, and the potatoes were flavorless and bitting back. I ordered a byo pizza, it was really greasy and had hair in it. Full peaces of hair. We (a friendly, normally-dressed, quiet party of 7) had reservations at the Grille for a special occasion. We were told we would have a table with a good view of the water but we were seated at the furthest table away, near the bar. No one came up to us for at least 15 minutes to take drink orders or drop off waters or even say it would be a second, but at least a dozen servers walked by so they definitely saw us all sitting there waiting. I had to go up to the serving station to ask for service. The woman who brought us water was rude. I had to ask our waiter twice to bring us bread. Other tables who had come later than us got their entrees long before we did. When I asked our waiter when our food was coming out, he essentially shrugged and said the kitchen was running behind. This isn't true as other tables got their food orders much sooner than us! When the food came, the vegetables were cold and unseasoned, one person's steak was cooked incorrectly, and the French fries were cold. I was so embarrassed that I chose this location for my friend's special occasion. Steer clear of this restaurant; they probably only care about locals/country club members. read more

The hostess was weird about us not having a reservation, despite multiple open tables, and would not tell us any potential wait times, and we could clearly see only 3 folks in front of us on the wait sheet. We ended up waiting for 30 minutes, had aperol spritzes at the bar, and then when we were finally sat, tried ordering the same drinks at our table. The waitress brought out 2 very different drinks and then doubled down and insisted they were aperol. Our visit in the 2nd week of operation was a hit ... the views are amazing at the old Muskegon Country Club . High on the bluff overlooking Muskegon Lake it has breathtaking views of the water looking north over the lake. The golf course is in great shape so the drive up the hill is pretty as well. Our server Cody was great with a sense of humor and over abundant enthusiasm. He was truly enjoying his job . The cocktail list is enticing and the wine list adequate. The food is varied with burgers , steaks , pizza and seafood options . Obviously being part of the Redwater group out of Grand Rapids has helped spruce up this location like Watermark and Red's. Now they do need to add more tables on their substantial deck as it was only half occupied with dining tables. That is clearly the place to sit and take in the views and the Michigan summer. They did have fresh air in the dining room by having the wide sliding doors open bringing the outside in. Friday and Saturday they have prime rib and 3 of our party opted for that , potato choices with truffle oil as an add on , yum, and many veggie choices. Never going back! The place is pretty good.... If you dine in. There take out is awful. Incomplete orders, cold food, missing ingredients and dressings. Plus, I have been double charged twice, and had to come back to retrieve things that were left out. On my most recent, and last time I got takeout, the broccolini was bad, it should have been thrown out. Our Fajitas didn't come with cheese, and my salad had one tiny piece of blue cheese and no dressing. I expected more from a restaurant who charged me Over 100 dollars for 3 entries. Celebrated our anniversary overlooking beautiful Muskegon Lake at sunset. We were greeted at our table with an Anniversary card on behalf of the Lake Bluff Grille staff. Our server Jalyn was attentive and didn't rush us to order as we were enjoying our cocktails. The Manhattan was awesome! Steak on the hot stone as well as the pretzel crusted walleye was amazing and incredibly filling. We spent 2 hours enjoying a fabulous meal, drinks and dessert. So appreciate the leisurely dinner! Overall, lots of room for improvement. We are members of RedWater Golf Clubs and had it on our bucket list this summer to golf 18 at MCC followed by dinner at the newly opened restaurant. Golf course was wonderful, but the dining experience left a lot to be desired. We called ahead to reserve a table on the patio and were told they don't take reservations. But when we walked in after golf and saw open tables on the patio (the best spot overlooking the lake) the staff told us those were reserved. We explained our call ahead story and were then told reservations are for members only. The problem is, we are members but weren't shared this information over the phone. Instead we were sat inside at at booth - a much less desirable location. The best spots to be seated seem to be the bar area or the patio. So, we were bummed. Service was extremely slow. It took over 35 mins for our first drink order to arrive. The server did return to our table letting us know the bar was backed up. Even salads arrive before our first drink. The food however, when it arrived was lovely. We had the Ahi entree, blacked Ahi app, Brussels (those were 'ok' - just deep fried and salty), the walleye and the roasted chicken. All were tasty dishes. Honestly. We probably won't go back as the first impressions were just not that great. We can get that sort of menu/food right in Grand Rapids at our own club with better service and atmosphere than that booth we sat at in the dining room. The dining room is 'fine.' read more

We were spending the night in Muskegon after coming over on the ferry and looking for someplace special to celebrate my wife's birthday. Looking on line, this place looks nice, has a wonderful view and offered half off entree for your birthday. How could we resist?! Everything was better than advertised. Although we chose not to sit on the outdoor space, we still had a beautiful view of the water and sunset as that entire wall was open. Our server Mikayla was wonderful. We were there on a Friday evening and I think the wait for food was appropriate for a nicer restaurant. We started with the Sweetie Thai Shrimp and it was great. I had the Chicken Parmesan and it was wonderful. Would easily have that again. My wife had the Pork Ribeye and she couldn't say enough good things about it. I wish we could have had dessert but there was no room after that meal. My only knock would be the soup. I tried a Pumpkin soup that I think was new and/or seasonal and I couldn't get past two spoons. Neither of us cared for it. Our server offered an alternative though, so no problem. If I'm ever in this area again, I will definitely come back. And make sure you're here early enough to watch that sunset. It's worth it. read more

We had a wonderful first experience at Lake Bluff Grille in the Muskegon Country Club. We requested to have a table outside and the view is stunning. They did a fabulous job renovating and updating the inside and outside area of the restaurant. The ambiance is just awesome. Our cocktails tasted great and refreshing. We started with calamari and it the breading was light and crispy. The sauce and slaw for the calamari was light and crispy as well. I had the fajitas and my husband had the jambalaya as our main entrees. I love that both of our meals came out on the volcanic fire rocks. Each fajita I made was hot and fresh because of the chicken and veggies sizzling on the rock. Both of our meals were very flavorful and the perfect amount of food. We finished with the banana foster crème brûlée. What a perfect dessert that wasn't too heavy and tasted wonderful. We can't wait to come back to try more of the menu. Great job! read more
