Decorated adorably for the holidays, Fuel Bar is one of my favorite spots in Spring Lake. We came in for lunch on a Sunday and were pleasantly surprised to see they offered their happy hour all day on Sundays. Their HH apps were $8 so I took full advanatage and ordered a burrata and an order of mussels. The boys ordered a Three Little Pigs pizza. It was big enough for them both to eat. I was expecting smaller orders of mussels and burrata since they were on the HH menu, but I got full orders of both. The mussels were so good, the sauce was tasty and the bread was delicious. The burrata could have used a touch more balsamic but the tomatoes were blistered perfectly and the overall flavor was so good. Definitely a must do when you're in Spring Lake. Their espresso martinis are some of my favorite!

All day Sunday happy hour deals (food+drinks), and the portion sizes are great for the deals. They had some of the most amazing Brussels sprouts I've ever had and a really good nacho dish. We both got old Fashioned's that were delicious. The decor is cool and sophisticated. Service was quick and helpful. I would definitely come back to enjoy their outdoor patio as well.

What a find! Fuel has been here for a couple years, but this was our first time here. We sat at the bar and had great service from Jordann. She was friendly, attentive and funny. Started with a 3 Floyd's Cron Beard IPA and a Kentucky Mule with house made apple cider ginger beer. Beer is always good, but oh my goodness, that ginger beer was INCREDIBLE! They also had a blueberry ginger beer that was equally delicious, both on tap. We ordered the meatball pizza that was on special and the haystack burger with fries. Hard to decide which one we liked more! The burger had brisket, fried onions, cheddar cheese and bbq sauce on a brioche bun. The brisket was tender as could be. Burger was cooked perfectly and the fries were piping hot, crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. That pizza tho!! I actually don't know if it would matter what you put on that crust. It is chewy with a crisp bottom and lots of air bubbles for extra goodness. I was just thinking off all the combinations of pizza I want on that crust.

Nice spot in Spring Lake Michigan. Ambience was fantastic, loved the decor and lighting. Staff was so so friendly, our server, Parker, was fantastic. Lii oh ya of good, local beers on draft with an extensive cocktail list. The menu was rather small, but all great options with meat, seafood and vegetarian options. My husband and I split the grilled Cesar salad and elote pizza. Everything was so amazing and fresh. I've never had a pizza with the combination of flavors on this pizza and it was fantastic. The wood fired dough really made it. Prices were moderate. I'd definitely recommend this restaurant to others and would go back!

Soft shell crab. A week long special.

The indoor/ outdoor space blends together in the warmer months with cool hangout spaces and game areas. This place is truly a work of art. Drink lists abound, but because it was lunchtime we stuck to food. We were not disappointed. Everything was well conceived and delicious. I can't wait to come back and try the bone bread next time, stew and scrumptious sounding salads. Today we had the kids smash burger, Brussels burger with frites and fried haddock and frites with a delicious coleslaw. The best part? Different sauces to choose to dip the fries in. The curry ketchup was the best (special shout out for *actually* cooking the curry into the ketchup) as it did not taste of raw curry. They definitely don't cut corners here. We noticed, and we appreciated it. We will be back.

Yes, they have a small parking lot, and don't fret if you have the park on the street like we did, as we were seating promptly and it didn't feel too crowded. Since we were seated at high tops near the bar, the bar tender was our waitress, and she is literally the nicest, good energy, engaging human ever! She also whips up the custom, creative mimosa recipes, kudos to her for her awesomeness! I ordered the Shakshuka, flavorful, delicious, would order again. Even as a non-vegan, it was satisfying and would recommend to everyone. Husband had the 1964 Worlds Fair Waffle, and it was tiny. Not what you envision when you think of Belgian waffles. He also ordered the Belgian Forest Bacon, again VERY small portion, so much so that at the end of the meal, he had to order a side of the Smashed Maple Sausage. Both our drinks (I had the mimosa) were fantastic and worth ordering, loved the glassware! Aside from the small portions of waffle, bacon, and sausage, the cheerful vibes here are contagious, and I'd dine here again in a heartbeat!

It is an adorable restaurant, very comfortable, and smells like grandma has been cooking all day on a Sunday. Our server was INCREDIBLE, brutally honest when we asked questions or for her opinion. My husband ordered the chicken Alfredo and noted that it was very bland with "crunchy" pieces throughout. I ordered the shrimp scampi, on recommendation of our server, and the dish itself was incredible, but the shrimp were very small and so rubbery and overcooked that they were nearly hard to chew. I told my husband that I would love that dish without the shrimp, as the shrimp detracted from the dish overall. We were a little disappointed they didn't offer any sort of salad or bread service. My house Pinot Grigio was tasty and paired great with our meal. It's literally within walking distance of our home, so we may try it again down the road, but it just wasn't the local home run I was hoping for.

I did find my Apple old fashioned a little sweet, and would have preferred a duck fat wash rather than an apple butter wash. I also found some un-dissolved sugar at the bottom.
