I have been very satisfied with the quality and durability of the products. I own the following women's items - - Panther clutch, - Myphone wallet (which fits my iPhone 5, but it's tight), - Plus-sized Myphone wallet (much roomier for my phone, but snap sometimes comes undone), - Lynx mini zippered wallet (small and love the zippered protection), and finally, - Jaguar credit credit card wallet (I especially love this one). Their prices are a little on the high end, but I accept that because I like their products. My biggest complaint is with their less-than-speedy shipping. I've come to expect shipping within at least a week with most companies offering online ordering, but Big Skinny usually takes between 2-3 weeks to deliver my items. After years of being a loyal customer of Big Skinny wallets I have to give them a huge "thumbs down" because of my most recent purchase. They have a 30 day return/exchange policy...however my last purchase didn't even arrive until 6 weeks after purchase. I had ordered the wrong wallets and want to exchange them. Gobs of emails. Some answered quickly. Others not so much. When I called and talked to one person I was told they would email me directions for how to exchange but then no email and no communication. When I called again I was rudely told I was simply out of luck because 30 days had passed. Tough to make the exchange in 30 days when the wallets don't arrive until 45 days. Shady company! I ordered a tri-fold wallet through their website through a Groupon deal because of the glowing reviews all of their wallets received. Turns out all the reviews are probably a sham. I tried writing a review after I received the wallet (a not so glowing review), and it said that the review would be looked at or something before it was posted on the site. That in itself is shady that a company would first read your review themselves, before allowing it to be posted on their website. It leads me to believe they would not post a review that had a negative connotation toward their products. Surely enough it's been a few days since my review and I don't see it showing up on their site. The actual reason I rated the wallet poorly is because it doesn't stay closed! I filled it up according to the picture directions/guidelines on the site and was sure not to overfill any pocket, yet it still won't stay closed. I suckered into buying a groupon seeing their reviews on Amazon. I never got my wallet after around 4 weeks of order. I understand they do shipping through a third-party but they should have some kind of system to check if the packages are being delivered properly to all their customers. Product ordered on Dec 31 for a birthday present. 3 months later, nothing but excuses (and egg on my face). Emails and postcards sent out with apologies and promised shipping dates, that go unfulfilled. Every question answered with "The computer made a mistake" (Seriously.) Not only did I have to contact the company to get a replacement code for the non-working Groupon code, but they then lost the shipment. I received a tracking number and well over the estimated delivery the product still had not arrived. Same shady issue as the other Yelper where the Customer Service number reroutes to another contact. The incredibly rude Customer Service Rep, who is also listed as CAO of the company (scary!), told me that I had to wait an additional week before they could even process the replacement. The order had been placed well in advance of the holidays (almost a month) to accommodate a possible shipping delay as was mentioned in a Yelp response by the company owner Kiril to another dissatisfied customer; regardless, this is unlikely as my girlfriend ordered a wallet days after me and had received hers to the same household within 1 week of ordering. The owner himself then reached out to acknowledge the issue and agreed to ship the product overnight. I received tracking information yesterday, now more than a week after being guaranteed overnight shipping, that states that the product shipped on January 2 and that it is on the truck for delivery today; the product was not delivered yet again. Over a month and I still haven't received my wallet, yet they received payment. Next step is to contact Groupon as well as my credit card company to dispute the charges as the product was never received; a Better Business Bureau complaint will only placate me for the time being as they are scarily unaffiliated. After not hearing from the corporate office again, I called back on January 22nd and spoke to another customer service agent ("Dave"). He gave me a direct number to the person in charge of corporate customer service (which I meant to call the next day, yesterday, but got busy at work). Nonetheless, I was very pleasantly surprised when I checked my email this morning and saw a full refund on paypal for all my purchases ($79.16), which I think is very fair considering that the gifts weren't available for Christmas and the poor customer service immediately after. I have ordered from this site before and I like their products and never had any issues. However, on December 15, 2014, I made a large order for Christmas gifts and myself. I heard nothing so I wrote and asked if I would get the items in a timely fashion and was told everything was out of stock. I waited a few weeks and wrote again and was again told that everything was out of stock and it would be a few weeks before my order would be sent out. I received an email from them saying that they expected to send my order out on January 23, 2015. They did not. I waited and again I wrote. They said again that everything was out of stock. Now they don't even answer me at all. If they don't want my business, fine. But I want my items or my money! Now 2 more weeks have passed with multiple emails as I've learned they never bother answering the phone or returning messages. Bought a Groupon for Big Skinny. Followed all of Groupon's instructions when trying to place my order on the Big Skinny web site. Tried several times and got several different error messages, including "coupon expired". My coupon was not expired. Big Skinny telephone customer service was not helpful. Promised an e-mail but none was sent. Waited on hold for them for two hours before I hung up. When they finally answered my call, they pushed me back to Groupon, claiming this was their fault. Grooupon sent me to Big Skinny and so it went for three rounds of this back and forth. In the end, Groupon said that Big Skinny was reissuing expired Groupons. When I finally was able to place my order, the Big Skinny shipping was prompt and quality of items received (three different one) was good in terms of sewing and colors. Have only used one so far so can't comment on the durability. As a result of the above, I am quite gun shy about buying anything again from Big Skinny and Groupon. read more

Groupon didn't work; Poor customer service; item never arrived. Replacement item was "rushed out" but took more than a week. I bought a Groupon for Big Skinny, and then when I went to make a purchase on the Big Skinny website, my Groupon was no longer valid, even though it did not expire. I called the Big Skinny customer service number, which mysteriously redirected me to another number, and when I finally got to speak to someone, they were aware of the problem and re-issued me a new Groupon number. I then purchased an item from the Big Skinny website on Dec. 10, 2013. I received a notification that it shipped on the 16th- in plenty of time for Christmas, as it was a gift. But the item never arrived. The item had shipped, but the tracking information was incomplete and indicated it never got to my destination. I called Big Skinny and they offered to replace the missing item, and ship it with expedited shipping, which ended up taking more than a week. I'm sure it was the shipper at fault for losing the first item, but I expected a quicker shipping method for the replacement item. The wallet I finally received is nice, but with the Groupon fiasco, the item lost in shipping, and the replacement item slow to arrive, I would hesitate before purchasing items in the future. The wallets are nice and thin but credit cards fall out of the slots making it very easy to lose a credit card. I've lost two since my first purchase. I recently tried to order another model hoping it was a design flaw with my initial model. Rather than Big Skinny they should change the name to Big Mistake. This company might have the worst customer service of any online retailer I have ever dealt with. After 2 weeks of no delivery I checked the order status. It still hadn't shipped. When I contacted the company they couldn't find my order. When I sent them the full confirmation email I got no response. After I sent a follow up email they finally responded and told me the wallet was previously out of stock but shipping it that day. Interesting since nothing on the website, order confirmation or online order confirmation reflected anything about out of stock but I had noted other models with that issue. And yet the model magically came into stock on that day. To me they flat out lied. I noticed they started a kickstarter campaign for their RFID wallets. Why would a company with customers buying direct need a kickstarter campaign. Could it be they don't actually need to follow through on delivery if it is a kickstarter campain? Never once did this company apologize as if this was business as usual. As others have noted, this company is not reputable. Even if I get their wallet before X-mas, I would still give them 1 star. My brother had one of their wallets on his X-mas list, so I ordered it Fed-Ex 2 day air on Tuesday. Got an email confirmation but no tracking info. Thursday came around and I checked the order status online. There was no record of my order. Called customer service and they couldn't find it either and made NO attempt to problem solve. Finally talked to a supervisor who said I should fax the email order receipt to billing department. Called back customer service and asked to speak to billing department. There is no phone number and no way to contact billing department except via faxing. My concern was that billing department's response time would be several days. Since that didn't make sense because I wanted the damn wallet before X-mas, I talked to another customer service person who talked to another supervisor. She found my order and said they would ship it Fed-Ex overnight. I get another email confirming my order would be shipped overnight. Today is Friday and NO WALLET and no tracking info. Called customer service again and they explained to me that it takes a few days to process order, even for overnight shipping. What. No logic there. Because Fed-Ex doesn't ship during the weekends, they said I will receive the wallet on Monday. According to Fed-Ex, they ship on Saturdays. I seriously doubt I will get the wallet delivered before the end of this week, let alone by X-mas. The shipping issues alone are not worth purchasing anything from this company.
