There's plenty of outdoor seating (umbrellaed, because sunburns are rude), and ample parking for all your impulse sundae needs. For the efficient ice cream warriors among us, there's even a drive-thru. I've never used it, mostly because I live in fear of dripping soft serve into my cup holders and explaining that to my mechanic. Also? I'm a people-watcher. Give me a bench, a waffle cone, and a toddler in pajamas and cowboy boots blowing bubbles, and I'll be emotionally wrecked thinking about my grandkid on another continent. Worth every tear. As an added bonus, if you get there before 6pm, there is a comic book store inside on the upper level! I scored a Dr Strange #6 from 1974. So grab your ice cream, and sit in the shade and read your comic books to the sound of a waterfall at Glen Park located just behind Sweet Jenny's. There's nothing like it.

My go to is the peanut butter cup sundae, but I never get it with soft serve. They let you switch that out for hard ice cream if you'd prefer. It comes topped with a good amount of hot fudge, peanut butter sauce, crushed Reese's cups, whipped cream and a cherry. They recently changed their sundae cups from paper ones to plastic... I have to say I preferred the paper dishes, but it's not a deal breaker. They offer a different specialty soft serve flavor along with specials using it each week. This season, they also started doing the name of the day where they pick a name, post it on social media and then give the person a free baby size of their flavor of choice.

Ultra chocolatey, but not "just chocolate"! The orange essence shown in just the right degree and the S'mores was very chocolatey (I was delighted for that!) and had all of the s'mores ingredients shining in it as well. Okay, we did share and I was happy about that too! The factory part of Platters is fun, informative and live for some - video for other parts. The "chocolate shop" where you enjoy the candies and ice creams, is open and inviting. It is busy enough, but enjoyable too.
