We haven't been since it reopened so came back to check out the renovations, beautiful as always love the decor! It's not on their menu but they do have gluten free options you just have to ask. Staff from what I saw has changed, menu options seem to be the same I got something I have never gotten so it was hard to tell if anything changed really. We will be back I'm sure! Only difference was we usually got hot baked bread when you ordered and that may be a thing of the past.

This is their entrance, good job welcoming guests.

If I could give a 0 stars I would! I had reservations tonight for 4 people. walked in behind 1 other couple. we were the only people in the restaurant besides the chef. I'm not kidding. we all stood around for nearly 10 minutes, no one appears. The other gentleman guest went into the kitchen to look for someone, as We all watched the ceiling leaking all over the bar area. I end up calling the restaurant, when the man answered the phone, I told him there's 6 of us at his front desk. OHH no one ever came out . We all walked out and went elsewhere. I forgot to mention, the entrance to restaurant was snow and ice. I had my 91 yr old father with a walker trying to enter and then exit the restaurant. I haven't been here in 30 years as the service was bad. Now I know why I haven't been back STAY AWAY

Has anyone been there for a shower? Just wondering how the brunch buffet was and how is the smaller banquet room? They give you only 3 hours to talk, eat and open gifts. ( Other places are 4 hours ) Thanks!

Counter service and popularity requires a bit of a wait but that is necessary to decide what to order from the bountiful catch on offer. We started with raw oysters and clams casino. Freshly shucked oysters are a thing of beauty and Hayes did not disappoint. The Clams Casino are a house specialty which we highly recommend for the experience of a unique dish. We both ordered the broiled haddock and scallops for our entrees and could not have been happier. Perfectly seasoned and generous portions ensured a fabulous dinner. Hayes is a Buffalo standard for seafood for a reason - superb selection and masterfully crafted seafood makes for a great experience.

The absolute best lunch my mother-in-law and I have had in a VERY long time. This is by far the most incredible and freshest seafood in the area. We got there shortly after opening so it was not busy, but by noon, the line was out the door. Very clean restaurant. You can tell they pay attention to the place. Great decor, friendly staff. Plenty of seating room. The menu was a bit overwhelming. I ended up getting the blackened haddock platter (with red potatoes and coleslaw) and mom got the lake perch with the same sides. We both were in love at our first bite. The haddock was perfectly seasoned and I had no doubts it was cooked well. Lately I feel some places I have been served fish that isn't done. No doubts here. Coleslaw was saucy and flavorful. Potatoes were delicious and the meal also came with a roll. The perch meal was exactly what my mother in law was hoping for. She hadn't had it in a while and it was a heaping portion. She said it "barely" had much taste, which was a plus for her. The batter was clean, and you can tell fresh oil was in the fryer. While the prices are a little high for a normal lunch, they were worth every penny. We will definitely be back.

Prices cannot be beat during the happy hour for these seafood delicacies which are costly otherwise. I was out at Perla on a Wednesday recently to celebrate a girlfriend's birthday with a group of friends. We had a great time and our server was such a sweet guy. The Woodfire pizzas are very good if you're not into seafood. Those you have to order from the regular menu. The menu is too limited for the happy hour. I knocked off one star because of this. There's usually a live band during this time, but we did not have one on the Wednesday that we attended unfortunately. I would definitely come back for the oysters!

While reviewing the happy hours specials I noticed "bottled and draft beers: $5.95". Not the greatest deal but went with it. I then proceeded to order 2 Corona Extras. We enjoy ourselves, finish our drinks, and now it's bill time. After reviewing the bill we notice that my Coronas were charged at $8.95 each. We bring this up to the bartender and are told "that's only for domestics"; not anywhere on the menu is this stated (don't worry I double checked). We ask if this is an error in our favor to which the magic happens. We must have said the magic words to this dirty blond bartender because that's when the tantrum happens. She then proceeds to reach into her tip jar and throw a single dollar bill and four quarters in front of us (technically still owed us $4). I've never seen such blatant disrespect and utter lack of candor or customer service. There's 100s of different ways to handle that situation if she disagreed with our thought on the bill and her reaction was literally the worst one. I had all intentions of coming back because we thoroughly enjoyed our time until literally the last minute. Obviously, we will not be back and I will share this experience with anyone that asks me about this place Take my experience for what it is and be mindful of the service (or for the love of God don't try and call them out on their specials!). Also, our server over heard us talking about my birthday and was so kind and brought me a slice ok cake with a candle, just so sweet. The food was just as good, except my steak unfortunately. We started the meal with the wagyu meatballs, crab and lobster fondue and pork belly. All three were delicious! The pork belly was my personal favorite It paired so well with the Brussels sprouts slaw and carrot ginger puree. For my meal I got the 10.0z filet with hash browns. Now, yes I am a don't like pink in my steak, so I did order medium well. Unfortunately my steak came well well well over done. One of my friends ordered a medium steak and felt it was over cooked as well. My steak was not edible at all. The hash browns, I thought we're going to be like shredded potatoes, but they were not. The were actually very large fried like loaded potatoes sticks. My problem was they tasted fried in old oil had a bad after taste. For dessert we tried the banana cream trifle, sooo good, along with a slice of molten chocolate bomb cake, YUM! The service, apps and dessert saved the meal for me . I would come back again and try.

The place is very clean and for now, they have folding chairs, but you will absolutely overlook that when you try the food. It's a small place and I'm sincerely hoping eventually they can expand. And I'll explain why... . As the owner will proudly tell you, they have won awards for their sauce. I'm not in the least bit surprised... it is absolutely scrumptious! It's not like the sauce you find at most places. This is authentic Northern Italian sauce. The flavor is so rich, I could literally drink it from a cup! The meatballs are very flavorful, and the homemade bread... thick and hardy. . I ordered what was a breaded rice ball with a meatball in the middle. They threw in a couple extra meatballs and cut me a huge hunk of bread. My friends all ordered what was a stuffed half loaf of bread and got to choose their own fillings. We were all extremely happy with the food. . Now what makes this special other than the food... the two men who make sure your dining experience is a good one. The owner, once we were finished eating, sat with us at our table and got to know a bit about us. He told us that he also offers cooking lessons with Italian lessons!
