I was looking for someone to move a bunch of boxes (household items and furniture needing to be assembled, including a metal bed frame, wooden storage cabinet, wooden kitchen console, several cat towers, and a new mattress -- some heavy and awkward stuff) up the horribly steep, narrow stairs from my apartment building's foyer to my apartment, so I put out a Yelp request. Within literally a couple of minutes, I heard back from Rick. I really liked that he was kind of informal and "Hey, let's plan on doing this Wednesday morning, but if you need to change it just let me know," because that's how I am too. Rick was great at keeping in touch, he showed up when he said he would, he did the work quickly and well, and charged me a very fair price. They delivered it right to her room. June 7th - We again hired them to pack our 15' U-Haul to drive 1700 miles from Tucson to Cottage Grove MN. No damages, nothing broken!! :-) July 16th - Once again, we needed to move my Aunt from Green Valley back to Tucson. Medical reasons had her moving. FULL SERVICE Due to renovations they were doing, I had to move from my ground floor room at my hotel to the second floor. I have lived there two years so I had a whole bunch of stuff in the room. I asked Big Rick's for their full service option and they did an amazing job. I hardly had to lift a finger. They came and took pictures of everything in the old room and then proceeded to transfer it to the new room and put it back pretty much exactly the way I had it in the old room, including moving a couple of pieces of furniture for my preference. I had a friend refer Big Rick's Moving to me. I was doing a move from one house I had been in for over 15 years to a new one. Their prices were very good. But more importantly, their crew were incredible. Rick came over to walk the place and get a lay of the land. His two movers then took over. Russell and Johnny were AMAZING! They worked non stop for probably 10+ hours, only taking a 15 minute lunch break. They were polite, professional and really cared about doing the job right. I hired big ricks moving last minute after another company flaked. I want to start by saying Rick and Brittani provided wonderful customer service, they were quick to respond to my questions, and they know how to run their business. The guys they sent out had adequate strength, showed up with proper supplies including dollys, boxes, tape, packing paper, etc. They showed up on time, and got the job done quickly and carefully. They arrived a few minutes ahead of time, were friendly, honest, offered explanations for procedures to make the day more economical and easier on me. Closing up our aunt's house, we had stuff to go into storage and stuff to pack in a U-haul. My fridge just died, and my mom offered me her old one. I needed it moved that day before my food rotted. Rick was the only guy in town willing to do same-day service on such short notice. He and his assistant Sonny showed up, were all business, and got the job done in under 30 minutes, for half the price of the companies that wouldn't do it til the next day. I lived in a second story apartment with steep stairs. Some of my furniture was big and very heavy. Moses and David were amazing! They took great care of my furniture by using blankets to wrap them in and yes, my furniture survived the stairs without any damage. They were organized and quick.
