It is now 2026 and I am ready for my things to come out of storage. Once again Nacho and his team were on top of it! A few days before the delivery date, Nacho called me to confirm everything. The morning of the delivery Christian and David arrived early (fine with that!) and introduced themselves and began laying down heavy duty rugs at the garage and front door entrance into the house. David was obviously the foreman and he and Christian worked well together. Very patient and kind with each other especially as they worked the larger items into the house and set them up. They asked for my input throughout the morning on where to place things. They provided an efficient unloading process. The only thing amiss was they couldn't locate my queen bed frame. Nacho gave me a call about the confusion over the price and receipt. He said he'd work with me, and he didn't realize the price was so unclear to me. As I said in the first review- it would be impossible for me to say Nacho and his assistant with him that day weren't so, so nice-- it was just that the price shocked me and was never communicated well. I feel so much better that Nacho even cared enough to communicate about the experience I mentioned in the review. Unfortunately, it was my previous (and ongoing) really bad experience with Uhaul that added color to this my experience with Nacho's business. The Uhaul truck Nacho's crew unloaded for me-- we drove it 500 miles one way and had to return it- another 500 miles, then another 500 miles to come back home. Uhaul messed up the truck rental appointment, and I was stranded in CA for SIX DAYS trying to peacefully, patiently wait for their mix up to get sorted out. So I was in a mad dash running away from all of Uhaul's moving services when I called Nacho in the first place, and had already been wrung out of unexpected hundreds as a result of Uhaul's disorganization. People only have so much when we're on a budget, and by the time one crazy company messes you up, the next company suffers too because you're at the end of your budget, time, trust and everything else. So shame on Uhaul primarily and let me make sure to take that full burden of confusion off of Nacho's company- since that's the back story to why my time and budget was already taxed to the max and my confidence and energy to haggle over the terms before I started was diminished. It's not fair to Nacho to not factor that into why I was blindsided by the price and terms. I'm very glad he cared to call. read more

Nacho and two crew members moved my 2-bedroom apartment from Tucson to Northern California. They were professional, efficient, punctual, friendly, and most importantly, they treated my stuff with a lot of respect and care. Nothing was broken! Moving is pricey in general right now due to high rental and fuel prices, but I called several companies around the Tucson area and his bid was the most honest to me. The closing on our new house in Fayetteville, AR, was delayed for a month. Nacho honored his original quote for moving us even though the cost of gas and the rental truck had increased. I really, really, didn't want to have to leave less than 5 stars but can't conscionably do it. Nacho and his staff were friendly, on-time, and professional. All communications were followed up promptly. The quoted price for our move from Tucson to Maricopa was reasonable and in line with ones received from other movers, plus he provided a 10% off military discount. Nacho's team came and packed our goods in a time frame and storage quantity that matched what he estimated in the quote. The problems we had with the move came out later when everything was unloaded. Some boxes were not labeled and others only had generic labels like "MBR" that did not give any hints as to the specific types of items that might be inside, making it very hard for us to figure where some specific things are. Other items were not properly packed at all. I was especially shocked that an antique lamp in my family for over 50 years was just left in a box unprotected with other rather heavy objects. As can be seen in the photo the lampshade was completely crushed and the base of the lamp was not even wrapped, instead it is left in there at the mercy of other objects also not wrapped. This was especially puzzling as our easily replaceable, generic Ikea lamps were taken apart and separately wrapped. Nacho did make an effort to try and protect some of our other especially fragile heirlooms so I'm assuming this lamp was not packed by him. My wife also passed along that some of the heels on her luxury brand high-heeled shoes were damaged. Nacho does offer the apparently industry-standard 60 cents per pound for damaged items, but this money can't replace one-of-a-kind antiques. And when the expensive items that are damaged don't even weigh one pound individually it's pointless to even file a claim. The ends of plastic wrap rolls and inner rings of packing tape rolls were also left in some of our boxes. Our washing machine had a storage tank for liquid detergent that wasn't emptied when they took it out of the house; luckily it wasn't too full so it didn't appear to have leaked in transport. The staff member that reattached the dryer vent hose didn't notice that it was such a tight fit over the pipe that it ripped in the back where you can't see. If I didn't need to move the dryer around myself to replace the 3-prong with a 4-prong cord I would not have noticed the back was not sealed until dust and lint started piling up in there. Our fridge did not fit through the front door without removing it and they accidentally gouged the door jam (since the fridge would have sank into mud trying to get it around the side through the patio doors, I'm less upset over this than you might think). Given all the 5-star reviews we read I had high hopes we wouldn't have to deal with these kinds of issues, but our luck didn't pan out. Would still suggest that "A Cavalry" be considered by anyone in Tucson needing to price out a move. UPDATE FEB 7th : Nacho reached out to me to ask if there was anything he could do and apologized for our damaged items, which is appreciated and an example of the great customer service I've come to expect from him. I do recommend this service to others but I just can't justify a full 5/5 review when things are damaged, no matter how nice the staff are. read more

We hired A Calvary to move our stuff from storage units in California to Tucson and store it for a couple weeks in Tucson before delivering it to our new home. Nacho and team were so professional and delightful to work with. For example, when we ended up not being able to meet Nacho and team at the storage unit, he picked up the keys from a relative, packed up everything in our multiple storage units independently, and drove everything to Tucson. A couple weeks later, as planned, they delivered everything on time and without any issues. Nacho noticed that one of our canvas paintings had a finger-sized hole in it and he pro-actively told me about and assumed responsibility. I happened to know that the hole was pre-existing and not at all something they did, which I told him. I was impressed that he had noticed something that small and was willing to take responsibility for it. This move was very stress-free, and it happened a week after my parents' had a horrible move experience with some company contracted by Nationwide where the movers showed up and said they wouldn't move them unless they paid them 2x as much as agreed upon and then their video gaming console and all their video games (in 2 different places in their house) disappeared during the move. They were a local family owned business so we went with them. After we needed to reschedule, A Calvary was accommodating and even showed up early the day of the move. They had all the right equipment and tools to move us quickly and easily - I was impressed how they were able to efficiently pack up our odds and ends (garage stuff). I love this company. "Nacho and crew of one " they were on time even early with time to spare to pick up my treasures at storage facility and take them to my sons and my new home. Very professional and hard workers. They took pride in taking my items out of the unit where stored, then placing them in a large truck and special care of my large driftwood table and mirror, making sure they didn't get scratched. When loading into my home they asked where I needed them to put all the items, after placing everything inside, they even put my sleigh bed together. We had originally scheduled different movers but they canceled on us two days before our move date. We were so lucky to get scheduled with A Calvary extremely last minute too! I'm so glad we had them instead. They arrived on time and had extra tools to make the move go quicker. They even wrapped some stuff up for us to keep it safe. Moved all our stuff out of storage so quickly! Then we arrived to my home and I was honestly really impressed that they set rugs out to avoid staining our carpet.
