Move an office that's been in one location for 25 years with literally tons of boxes, heavy wooden and modular desks, bookcases, whiteboards to take down, a large heavy wooden conference table, and lots of mish mash. Move all this gear and stuff and set back up the desks and conference room table all in 1 day. Sounds like a chalkenge! Big Rick's assigned two teams of four experienced guys who tackled the job systematically and methodically. Nothing got dinged or broken, and no one was injured. They were consistently polite, friendly, and willing to accommodate the last-minute scramble packing that hadn't been completed before their arrival. Big Rick was responsive and communicative. It took a crew of 4 almost eight hours to move a 1,000sq.ft condo about three miles at a cost of $3,000. We did have a lot of stuff but it took way longer than expected. The quality of the packing was not great. They used foam peanuts... which I'm still finding under furniture two months later. Came to load up our truck for our move and complained about everything from the very beginning: Us using U-Haul, the U-Haul being dirty, it going to be "a miracle" to fit everything in a 26' truck even though it's a 3 BR house without a sofa or bed frames, and then just paced the house for 30 mins, not loading a single box - to finally "decline the job" since we "aren't ready." I carefully selected this company due to the great communication in scheduling and because of its raving reviews. The service I received was far from what I expected. The main guy who showed up spoke down to us, was very sarcastic and rude, and the guys looked like they just got out of prison. Advice to all - Seek help elsewhere! THE WORST! These guys showed up with a broken truck. Couldn't get the lift down. Cursing, throwing things and scramming. They were there to pick up one refrigerator which they took out of the garage and left it outside in 112 degrees. Didn't put anything back. What a nightmare. read more

There is good news and bad regarding Big Ricks Moving Co. The good news is that they showed up on time in all cases on our move, both to load and unload. The bad news is they are trying so hard to be "all things" to all people that they do not complete the move properly. Hired Big Rick's to pack a trailer, including some furniture disassembly, for a cross country move. The team worked hard on a hot day and packed it efficiently to the ceiling. They were communicative throughout the process. They did charge for drive time across town, and the packing supplies they used added up to be quite an expensive extra charge - if I had known ahead of time I would've probably tried to procure my own.
