I've never run to recommend someone so fast. We had to move and after getting a few bids we chose Jorge. Today we moved and let me just tell you... the house we bought had unforeseen issues and there was three different groups of people doing work on the house today (but we couldn't push back the move any further as our lease is ending on our old house), AND my husband was out of town. I've been SO stressed and today was going to be peak stress. Jorge and his guys showed up right on time. They all had such a positive vibe and all seemed like genuinely honest and hardworking individuals. Jorge was happy to take stuff to the dump for me, took donations for me, and even purchased a few things I was going to sell but hadn't had the chance to. There were a few times during the move where the movers and the other guys working on the house were going to be in each others way and Jorge worked so well with them, figured it out, everyone was happy. One of his guys accidentally damaged some drywall but luckily a drywall guy was already at the house and Jorge worked with him and took care of it getting fixed immediately. We had a TV mounted that was tricky to get down and I was blown away at the amount of patience this man had. Because of the construction at our house it was difficult to access the back room to get the large furniture there and his guys improvised and got it done. On top of all that, his prices were reasonable (pretty much the same as the other quotes I got), and I told him it was important to me that we not go over what the quote was so to please be sure to communicate with me if it was looking like we might and he stuck to what was quoted - and honestly went above and beyond for what he quoted me. He mentioned he also does packing and repairs and pretty much anything. I really want to emphasize that he and his crew not only did an excellent job - but they had amazing attitudes and positive energy and it was really impactful to this entire experience. Jorge and his crew at Compass Movers just left my house after completing a moving project all my friends and I combined could not have done together. In fact, I wasn't entirely sure it could be done at all. I needed a 9-foot long, 4-foot wide, tiled, concrete lizard sculpture I'd made moved from where it was created to the place it was designed for at my new house. Because it's ridiculously unwieldy to move and probably weighs at minimum 700 - 800 pounds, it had been waiting nearly 3 years for me to bring it home. Having read all the glowing Yelp reviews about how Jorge does business and what a great guy he is to work with, I called him early this morning. He answered in 2 rings. Jorge's friendly, easy-going, professional and punctual. The job of moving this concrete beast by hand - no power winches, no fork lifts, etc., - was a strategic chore and a herculean effort. But Jorge and his crew of five got right to it. They somehow lifted and wrestled it onto a pickup bed, followed me home and unloaded it exactly where i wanted it. The whole ordeal took an hour. No one complained; nothing broke; and Jorge's charge was less than 1/3 of the price of the next lowest mover to bid the job. I've been dealing with a total nightmare of a move after selling my home. All my original plans fell through, and I was stuck moving things myself--which was becoming physically exhausting. When we were getting moving company bids, Jorge came out to assess what we needed before booking. Compass movers were the only moving company that offered this. We liked him, and the price was good. Jorge and his team were on time, professional, responsive, nice, and most importantly, careful with our belongings and the house(s) as they moved items in and out. This hasn't always been the case with previous movers. They arrived with 5 men. Honestly, I've never seen such hard workers. They wrapped EVERYTHING, and I didn't see them hit a wall or corner once. They took apart a huge and heavy bed for us and reassembled it in the new house. They took down all of our TVs from their mounts and came back the following day to put up our new mount and TV. They even readjusted a few heavy items for us. They built a lot of trust with us, and even though we plan on this being our final move, if we had to move again, I would completely trust Compass Movers to move us. In addition, if I had thought of it the time I would have taken some images of them wrapping everything. It was impressive. We still have a few items wrapped in the garage. We had movers booked for over a month. on the day of our move the movers came and charges went up over 3000 from our quote they told me ... My husband told them to leave cause they were horrible and rude... we had to move as our house had closed. I called over 20 different movers. We called tucson moving compass they were at our home within the hour. Quoted us a flat rate that was less then the 20 company's I called a month ago. They were very friendly. Very honest and took great care of our idems. They got to our home in tucson az around 7pm on Saturday night . They packed up our 4 bedroom home and had it unloaded in Austin tx by 2pm Monday. This moving company excels in customer service: Jorge and his team will literally do anything you ask them to do. His employees worked long hard days moving us and never took breaks. We had to encourage them to stop working to eat. After 3 long days, our home that we moved out of was stripped of the TV, all the curtain rods and art and walls patched and touch up paint was in place. All trash had been removed and our new tenants were able to move in with no issues. In our new home, all furniture was set in place, TV hung, artwork , curtain rods and mirrors in place. The original bid was significantly less than what we ended up paying. We were more than comfortable paying the final bil, So while we completely recommend this company, understand that they go over and above to please you, it does come with additional cost. BEST MOVING COMPANY IN TUCSON! We had the best experience using this moving company and with just one days notice he was able to schedule us! They're very friendly people, easy to work with, very gentle with our belongings, the team is well organized and works quickly. In our two bedroom home with a backyard full of storage containers, they only took four hours; to break down all the large furniture (couches, three beds, books shelves and more, wrapped it, packed up some of our loose things throughout the house, loaded everything into the truck and unpacked and placed everything in the new home . $The price is very fair! I don't think other moving companies are charging this low rate. This company also helped our mom move to Las Vegas, she had two big storage units they loaded and delivered to her. Outstanding service throughout the move. The smallest detail was taken care of. Jorge and his crew worked long hours in one day in order to have the house empty and ready to be shown by the realtor. The unpacking at the destination was timely and efficient with bedrooms set up and boxes organized by rooms to facilitate unpacking. Jorge communicates constantly with updates on his progress. Cynthia, his packer, was available for extra days to take care of dishes, crystal, decorative items, and more.
