When I came back, they didn't have my key, didn't remember me, didn't have me in there system. After looking for a key that may fit and trying to figure out what to do for 30 minutes, they ordered another key and said they'd have it in a week. I wasn't willing to risk wasting more time and money for them to repeat their mistake. I'll eat the loss and find a shop that can replace the key or order it online. Find a better place to take your business, it's not worth it.

Was quoted for a few repairs which made sense for my vehicles age. I bought the truck due to the repairs being small. Wanted just peace of mind so I took it to TWO other shop for full inspections and was quoted for almost double the amount of work. Both shops quoted the same thing, not upselling. I took it back to McKell to get a few things done that fit within my schedule. I was scheduled at 12:00pm on a Wednesday to do some repairs. I dropped it off and waited until around 3:30 with no update. Went back to McKell to get an update and they havent even started working on it. I did not drop it off at 3:30 lol that's funny, owner. I was told the truck wasn't going to be worked on at all by the end of the day. Why schedule an appointment for me if you're not even going to work on it and waste my time. Owner tried to twist the story of my google review. McKell is not trustworthy.

They don't care about causing any damage to your car and they especially won't inform you when they cause the damage. Took my car in to get a pre-roadtrip check about a month ago, and one of the mechanics snapped my hood cable so my hood is now unable to get open and it will cost between $200-$400 for me to get repaired. Of course, no one informed me that this occurred, so I had no clue my hood was broken until I tried to pop my hood open myself a few days later. My hood was functioning properly before I took it in, yet they declined that they caused damage and refuse to repair it so that's great for me! Went back to get my tires replaced a couple weeks later (don't know why I went back... that was my first mistake), and suddenly the trim on my car around my back tire is starting to come off. It's an easy fix, but it's just upsetting to see the damage they cause and don't inform me of, or even try to fix. Very disappointed. I never write bad reviews, but hopefully this will be helpful to others. You can tell they rush the job, aren't gentle with your car, and clearly couldn't care less about their customers. I would literally steer clear of this Provo location.

We were the third of four cars and hit the car in front of us 3 times. We were covered in soap and could not see what was happening. When they finally stopped the belt the employee went to his manager. He asked us all to drive out of the car wash to assess the damage and gather information. To make matters worse, they told us we would have to go through the carwash again to wash off the soap or there would be damage to our vehicle. Going back through was the last thing I wanted to do. Today (four days later) we received a call from corporate stating it wasn't the car wash's fault and we would need to file a police report and go through our insurance. I am not sure how this can be our fault as we were inside the car wash in nuetral, covered in soap with zero visibility when the pile up occurred.

Went back to the shop, the owner called the mechanic into his office who told him that it was broken before he worked on it. Which didn't make any sense, because it wasn't broken, and also the gas gauge is literally attached to the fuel pump that they replaced. The owner then said that he believes his mechanic and that it is basically their word vs mine. But said that he would be willing to charge the hours of labor getting to the fuel pump to "take a look at it" and charge me for the "new" repair and labor costs. If the gauge was really broken, wouldn't they have charged me to fix it or at least notify me of it, while they already had the car torn apart? Sounds like the mechanic didn't want to be responsible for a huge expense due to his mistake, and the owner wasn't willing to eat the costs for the fuel gauge they broke. Dishonest at best. Very sad that they choose to destroy trust and a life long customer over a couple hundred dollars.
