Worst service I've ever had! They were all standing around and took an hour to change the oil on one truck. It takes me 15 minutes by myself. Then they charged me $160!! They told me it would be 100. They are scammers. They said my filters were all bad and wanted to charge $60+ a piece. They don't even top off your washer fluid, that's another $12 and they told me it was low but I filled it yesterday. Don't waste your time and money! I went there hoping my experience was better than the last time I went to a Jiffy Lube (Spanish Fork where they kept pushing air and cabin filters on me by showing me very dirty filters and telling me they were mine) I pulled up and a lube tech comes out and pulls my truck in. There are no price lists anywhere. He asks what type of oil I want and I tell him I wanted synthetic. I'm the only customer there so they jumped on my truck immediately. The guy at the counter comes out and tells me I have moisture in my brake fluid, but that it wasn't high enough to worry about. He rings me up and tells me it is $160. I said, "are you kidding me? For an oil change?"Without batting an eye he said, "you wanted synthetic". No other comments, explanations, or anything else. I said, "it would have been nice to know the cost beforehand". No reply. I took my receipt and went out to my truck to look at it and shed a tear or two. (I've never had buyers remorse with an oil change before) It indicated that the oil change was $99 and that I was charged an additional $36.10 for synthetic oil (9.50/qt) and $8.99 for about 1 cup of antifreeze. Thanks Jiffy Lube. I won't be back.... You're WAY too rich for my blood. I'll change my own oil for less than half per/qt of what I was charged for oil at your place. read more

I had a 5 star experience at the Payson Jiffy Lube in February. In fact I told several friends to go there because of the great service I got. I asked for an engine check and for the technicians to reset the light. They did it without extra cost and with a smile. I returned for my 3-month oil change and I had the same employees. This time I was told, "it is against the law to reset lights without a repair being done." I was very surprised at the obvious stretching of the truth. I told the technician I was unhappy and his response was, at first, "the law is the law." At the end of the transaction he then told me he misspoke and what happened was that his machine couldn't read my engine-not that it was against the law. I believe in giving second chances, so, while I have to move my rating of Jiffy Lube Payson from a 5-star rating down to 3, I will come back in 3 months and I am hopeful I get a more honest approach from my technician. read more

Went in for emissions. Was diagnosed with burnt out reverse lights and a break light. Wanted to charge me labor because the reverse lights were hard to replace. Went to go investigate and turns out the reverse lights were working just fine. However the break light was out so I had them replace that. When they said my car was good to go I went to pull out of the parking lot and noticed that my blinker was still blinking fast indicating that my break light was still burned out. Had to go back to get it fixed again. I'm not sure if this was dishonesty or just mistake after mistake. read more

Pulled in when we saw there was only one car in the three bays. No one would acknowledge us or even come out to see how they could help us. I got out of the car and went to see about getting helped a man walked right by me and didn't even acknowledge me. I asked, if we could get some help and they seemed perturbed that we were even there until one girl said, what are you guys want done? She seemed upset that we were there taken away from her valuable time of doing nothing. They clearly didn't want us there. They were also really busy watching one of the workers in his truck burning rubber on the pavement. They clearly didn't want to help us. Absolutely do not go to this Jiffy Lube ever! read more

So upset. Wife went in to get the oil changed on our son's car and they tried to charge her $60 for a new cabin filter...$60 for a $5-$20 (retail) part and 1 min of labor...then tried to charge another $60 for a part to fix a small coolant leak with $100 labor tacked on. Avoid this place...if people keep going to places that prey upon people that just don't know much about cars there will not be any reason for these crooks to change. Side note...$60 was $20 higher than the price I was given when they wanted to replace my cabin filter...they saw a female come in and got the knives out...just terrible. They said it was because the filter was more expensive for that car...a 2011 Chevy Cruz...sigh...I screen shotted the filter with the price...$5-$20 retail price range...and they are not paying retail for those. read more

Went here regarding an AC problem and they diagnosed a handful of different, conflicting problems and prescribed different solutions with different, unrealistic costs. It was my estimation that the mechanics here didn't fully know what they were doing/were upselling things to me. This is less a review of their service so much as their entire market orientation. This firm does mainly oil changes and, by all accounts, are good at offering that service. I've been made to understand that they are less-equipped to provide quality, honest work with other kinds of auto services. Getting other car fixes really merits going somewhere else (an actual auto mechanic) to save time, money, and headache. read more

Go elsewhere. Especially if you are a woman. As the saying goes, these guys saw me coming. My husband was away, but I needed an oil change. I went to the dealership, but they were too busy to get me in. My husband suggested I go to Jiffy Lube. Since I live in Payson, I decided to go to the Payson Utah location, even though they only had 2 1/2 stars. I should have listened to my gut and made the drive north to a different one of waited for my dealership to get me in. I pulled up, the first thing they said was my car used synthetic oil. After arguing with the guy for a bit, I finally agreed to a synthetic blend. That should have been my second red flag. I also agreed to a tire rotation as the dealer always did that with each service. After waiting a few minutes one of the techs came in the waiting room and told me I needed a new air filter. Ok, I believed them so I agreed. Well, $129.00 later I left and thought I was done. After talking with my husband, he informed me that not only do I not need a synthetic blend, but he had just changed the air filter recently. In other words, they up charged me for a synthetic blend oil and lied about the air filter. So what should have been a $39.00 oil change, ended up costing $90 more, because they knew they could take advantage of me and did so. Now, maybe I should be "more informed" or should have waited for my husband to do it, but I should not have to worry about a national chain taking advantage of my lack of knowledge. Warning to those who don't know about cars. Take your oil change business elsewhere. My husband took the car back today, let them know of his displeasure too and to give them an opportunity to make it right. He was told the General Manager would be calling him today. I've lived in Payson for about a year and half and started going there because it was on my way home and the line was short. :) But I've quickly become a fan. I travel quite a bit for work and so I'm in there pretty frequently. They almost always have me done in 30 min or less and while they try to 'up sell' me on things I've never felt much pressure from them. They've even found a couple things that I missed (I'm not a car guy, but I've been taking care of my cars for the past 25 years). I don't often post reviews, but I think these guys deserve it. I just went there an hour ago to simply get my emissions and inspection done. The cashier was really giving the lady before me a hard sell, and she caved and bought a bunch of B.S. stuff she didn't need, so I dreaded dealing with them. The guy who I first dealt with was polite but it went downhill from there. He came back in and told me I needed a new air filter, fair enough. Kind of tried to spook me... "this is a really really bad air filter-- it's broken and really really bad" I told him I'd buy it elsewhere. He said "our prices are competitive with any store" Ummmm I think not. He wanted $25 to replace it, I went across the street to Walmart and bought it for $7.50 Its not rocket science to change it. Secondly, I had a coupon for $6 off the $15 safety inspection and $8 off the $35 emission (which is incidentally more expensive than anywhere else in town) He didn't give me the whole $14 off--charged me $40 total...and played dumb when I called him on it, said it must be tax. My husband takes meticulous care of our cars and is a retired mechanic. I won't be back. I should have sent my husband to do it instead of me, to see if they jerked him around too.
