Every time I go in for a tire rotation and balance, they don't balance the tires! This has happened the last 3-4 times since getting new tires. I even sign the work order stating rotation and balance. Then I get out on the highway and the vehicle shacks badly. I take it back and they claim, a weight slug flew off. Terrible Terrible Terrible! Cluster from start to finish! 1. Said they had 4 tires for me, inventory wrong, they did NOT have 4 tires for me. 2. Said they would order the tires, they ordered the WRONG tires. 3. They did give me a deal on the tires they ordered...BUT... 4. Lug nuts were SOOO LOOSE on one of the tires that luckily I went to my mechanic thinking there was something really wrong with my car, lug nuts so loose the tire was knocking on the wheel. Didn't even get to the place to get my tires replaced and saw the stop sign. Someone working told me over the phone, he wouldn't recommend replacing just two tires (after saying my other two were fine) and if I didn't replace all four he would put a warning on my car. He also told me my drivetrain would be damaged and nonworking because I wouldn't be replacing all my tires. And in his words "it won't be my fault when your car breaks". First off, how do you know my back tires condition through a phone call? Secondly, in my 30 years of owning cars I have never heard such bologna. Third, don't quote me for your 13 million different warranties and not offer me a price without. Had service done on 2 tires, service was fine as they kept me updated through the process, Dave who seemed to be manager was great, although the crew who works in there are very weird, they don't like to say a word and just stare, swear I said I was going to leave a good review and literally got stared at lol not one thank you throughout the process. Big O Rip OFF! Went in for a state inspection, came out with a $450 quote. Apparently they say you need new tires even if they have roughly 5,000 miles on them? Asked for a tire rotation, didn't do it. Asked to have my fluids checked, they are still low. I also don't believe they actually changed my oil, just charged me for it. read more

We were literally out and saw one tire was loosing air Obviously we stopped to try and fill it couldn't . Stopped by the closest place only to be told they are short staffed! Don't stop here if you are in an emergency. Flat tire three little girls and no family around. If ever an emergency this was one my son is in school and needing to be picked up in the next two hours. We were willing to change the tire ourselves it was such an emergency we just needed them to pull the bolts off. read more

We took our son's car in for 4 new tires. When we got it back one of the TPMS wasn't working. They made up some bogus story and tried to charge us an additional $100 to fix it. Asst mgr wouldn't help. Manager wouldn't help. Big O tires SUCKS!! Avoid at all cost. When i spoke to the manager the technician had lied about the entire incident and the manager said he was gonna stick with his story. This is all despite us having our onstar emails showing tpms worked fine the day we took it onto this shop. read more

I know chain automotive stores like these get a bad rap but that wasn't the case today. Even though they were short staffed, Aaron still got me in and out and informed me of what car did and didn't need (Wheel Alignment & Rotation & Balance Service was what I got). The customer service was great and again Aaron was very informative and helpful. If BOT can get more quality guys then I'd say that would set them apart from the competition. read more

Service seems fine, bought new tires here and they delivered and installed as promised. Asked if they could change the wheel speed sensors at the same time, as they haven't worked for awhile. Got a call 10 minutes after I dropped the car off saying their reader wasn't working with dodge vehicles? Said he'd be getting a new sensor reader in a week. 3 weeks later when my brand new tire had a flat, I asked if they were able to change my wheel speed sensors and manager just said "no". I was willing to pay to have them replaced but I guess it's "too difficult" even when they are already removing the tire anyways. Also, sometimes they patch tires for free other times they charge $30 I guess it's just how crappy of a day they are having. read more

Took our truck In for alignment and had the wife pick up, she called and said it's pulling to the right so when I got home I looked at the alignment printout and it only had the after settings on the sheet. I told her to show this to the manager tomorrow when she drops the truck off because it should show before and after alignment adjustments. She goes into the independence store and the manager Brandt gives her attitude because he has 2 more minutes left to open!!! She waits than shows him the printout and he says rudely if that's what you got that's all we have!!! The alignment was done improperly that's why the printout didn't show specs. I feel very bad for having her pickup/ drop off the truck but I was busy working. There clearly needs to be training in customer service and alignment techs at this location. I will never bring any of my vehicles here again!!!! read more

I went to Big O Tires, now re-named "Big O Liars" by my family, to get an oil change not long ago. The experience was great, they had the oil change done in less than an hour, and Scott, the store manager, was very friendly. He had his kid there, and the little 5-year-old was passing out water in little foam cups- so cute! So why am I giving them one star? Scott told me that my tire rod was bent and quoted me a almost $300 dollars to fix it. I went home to price compare at a couple other places and ended up taking it to Midas to have the job done. When the guys at Midas looked at my car, they said there was LITERALLY NOTHING wrong with my tire rod, no bend, NOTHING. I was like, what? There must've been some mistake or mis-communication at Big O Tires. I called the store back, explained in detail my interaction with Scott and what I was told about my van, and the guy on the phone said he'd check around and see who made the mistake of telling me my tire rod was bent. Only when I got home and double-checked who printed the quote for me did I realize that the guy I spoke with on the phone WAS SCOTT HIMSELF. He just wouldn't own up to giving me false information about my van and trying to swindle me out of a few hundred bucks. I called the 800-customer service line, they took down a complaint, and just referred it back to this store. I received a call from another guy at Big O Tires apologizing for the manager's behavior and encouraging me to only make appointments with him if I didn't trust the manager. They didn't offer me any kind of compensation for all my troubles (because, I've had to spend almost $100 now to get my vehicle re-aligned after it was taken apart for the almost tire-rod replacement) "Eek, Methinks not" is a perfect vote for this store because they are unprofessional and dishonest. I will NEVER take my car there again, and I will encourage others not to either. Anyone want to sign a petition to get them to change their names to BIG O LIARS?? Love it read more

I had an electric fuel pump replaced, $753.00, it was not sealed properly, they returned the truck while it was still leaking gas. Months later, I also had a U joint replaced, over $300.00. They returned the truck while the U Joint was not properly seated in the driveshaft yoke. Not sure what's going on at this location, but I won't be back. Thanks for the valuable lesson. read more

I called for the price of an oil change on Thursday and scheduled a 3pm apt. I arrives 5 mins early on my lunch break. Checking in I was aggervated the price was almost double but I was short on time. I was told 45 to am hour(OMG) SO I Walked to Perkins. Ate a small meal. Returned at 340 and my car was still up on the lift. I walked around outside watching my car ait NOT A SINGLE PERSON NEAR MY CAR. AT 4PM I went in and asked about my car and a few mins later my car was parked upfront. I went out after paying and got in my car windows up radio on. Pulled away and as I turned onto 39th my oil light flashed on and bank off. I made it to Jackson when my car started violently shaking. I rolled down window and turned off radio. It sounded like my exhaust fell off so I turned around and called them to tell them. As I pulled in the asset manager cane right out. I immediately turned the car off. At that point the manager came out arguing my car sounded like that when it got there and there were lights on...yes the oxygen sensor caused my engine light to come on" I just had it diagnosed last week and the TPS LIGHT Was on but that is the only lights and an occasional putter but quiet running vehicle. After a few mins arguing I asked him to drive it to which he declined but said to pop hood to check oil. He immediately stepped back and changed his tune. The dip stick want even in its place. So they pulled my car back in the shop at 415, left the engine running and blew the motor. I sat till 530 when they finally has the report for the insurance company and informed me the INS company would call me. That was Thursday...i missed work and my daughter needed the other car so ive missed 3 of the most important shifts of my week as um a delivery driver. They did say I could get a rental but I would have to cover it until the case was closed. Im struggling from the Covid lockdown I do not have that kinda $$. Im giving them till Monday night and Tuesday im calling a lawyer! read more
