Needless to say, I was devastated. Had to make a hit and run claim because the neighbor would not admit anything, even though the paint transfer on the door and rust on the ground were 100% from her car. My appraiser recommended Classic, so I called and made an appointment. When I went there on a Wednesday, Tony said to bring it in on Monday so I wasn't wasting my rental while they researched doors and also the weekend passing. I thought that was very considerate of him! Dropped it off on the Monday at about 8:15am, and they set up the rental. Got picked up and had my rental and was at work by 9am. Not bad! I mentioned to Tony that there was a preexisting scratch on the hood and on the bumper that I would like a quote for. He said don't worry, we'll take care of you. The car was ready Thursday afternoon, and I picked it up on Friday. As soon as I saw it, it was like a weight had been lifted. The new door looked and worked perfectly, and the paint was an exact match. You would never know that it was new! Also, I couldn't find the scratch on the hood and bumper! They gave me a great price on the extra work I had them do, and it looks like it just rolled out of the factory. All in all, they took an awful situation and made it into a GREAT experience. Tony and Jimmy take pride in their work and their customers and it shows. I've never had this kind of experience with a mechanic or auto body shop before, and I will definitely come back in the future, and I'm telling all my friends and family! Thanks guys!

I'm an "old" lady who's never going to get another new car. I figured I'd just have to live with how this one looked. I did a paper route for 5.5 years and it received more than its share of bumps and bruises However, my "Joey" now looks completely new. The cost of the work was much less than I expected, especially since the entire inside was perfectly detailed in addition to the beautiful body work on the outside. In summary, I highly recommend Michael's Auto Body for their excellent work.

Just.............beware. I lost my car because of these folks, plain and simple. They overplayed…read moretheir hand with the insurance company by inflating the estimated repairs to a level where the insurance company had no choice but to total my vehicle--and I had been found 100% not responsible so I should have gotten my car back in beautiful condition at literally zero cost to me. Instead, after it had already been at the shop for a week and a half, I was notified in an email that my vehicle was now considered to be a total loss, and I walked away with nothing but a measly, questionably valued check.... Have since heard that this exact situation is not an uncommon outcome here and has happened to others..... I'd have to say that the office manager Donna--who was absolutely great to deal with in the beginning--she became particularly tough & unpleasant to deal with once the car was totaled and the job fell apart. She openly seems to thrive on & genuinely enjoy confrontation & being aggressive and hard-edged. I've only heard good things about the quality of any actual repair work done on cars, and I was counting on & just assuming I would also become one of those very happy & satisfied customers who leave with a beautifully repaired vehicle, but my experience left me without my trusty truck which I could have, would have, and should have used for several more years to come, and I just never realized in a million years that this outcome was even an actual possibility when I put thought & even sought advice into where I should bring it to originally.....I'm just incredibly disappointed how things were (mis)handled under their watch. Just one local man's opinion. P.S. Although they wanted basically $12,000+ from the insurance company to do "all" the required repairs, interestingly once it was totaled I was offered to have it very nicely fixed up for only around $6,000, although at that reduced figure I would not be getting every single thing repaired exactly the same as the $12k would have gotten me, apparently.

When I brought my estimate…read morefrom my insurance, he stated to me that He will call my insurance company and have them double my estimate so he can pocket the extra money. He then charged me an extra 150 dollars on top of the extra money he got from my insurance company, because he lied about how much the insurance company pays for labor. He also said he charges extra 150 dollars because of the superior work that his business does as opposed to other auto body shops. On top of all this, I had to bring my car back to the shop because they did not properly finish the job and reconnect rear lights which is a safety issue his excuse was my technician said that the car was all set. That is terrible and shorty work on his part to let that car leave his shop with the break lights not working! I would never take another car there because of the poor quality of work and the greed of the owner Dave, who cares about making money and screwing people over rather than just being honest and doing quality work for the money that they are allotted through the insurance company. In closing, he stated to me that I just have to submit paperwork to my insurance company to retrieve my 150 dollars back. The insurance company laughed at me and said he straight lied to you, and NO OTHER AUTO BODY SHOP ON THE BORTH SHORE CHARGES ANY ADDITIONAL FEE.
