Love this place. My favorite food in town, and the staff is super catering. Cant beat this place for real.

We were in town dropping our freshman off at CSUC. Every time we were in town I wanted to try this place but it never happened. Finally, I have my chance and we were not disappointed. It's run by a Vietnamese family and it's so good. Very small operation, not fancy at all, don't wear any shirt here that you aren't ok with getting dirty. Food can fly here as all the sauce goes everywhere, use the bib they give you for sure. We got one of their choices that was on the napkin dispenser, I don't remember the name of it if it had one but basically it was a big basket of cajun friends, a pound of shrimp and a pound of king crab legs with 2 corn and a side of rice. We got their #1 spicy, basically the 1st little hot pepper on their menu and it was spicy. Thankfully we love spicy food, but I have a feeling if we got it a 2 or 3 it would have been too much to enjoy. Not sure if that's how it normally is or not, since I don't eat much cajun food. We got the mixed sauce, I think they call it the house sauce, it was really flavorful. Definitely enough for 2 adults, we were both stuffed when we left. It was around $58, plus tip. What an awesome place to have a memorable last supper with a buddy after a long road trip! I stumbled upon this gem after checking in to Quality Inn, which is literally right across the parking lot from it. Being a diehard seafood lover as I am, I couldn't possibly resist the lure of this place. Yuy (sp?), our waitress, was lovely in her attentiveness and quick delivery of service. I was enthralled by the savoriness of the house special mild sauce. Between the two of us, we got the following: 1.5 lbs of snow crab legs 1/2 lb of shrimps 1/4 lb of clams 1/4 lb of mussels 6 corns sausages Everything was fingah-lickin good. I wasn't ashamed to have my bib on for this affair since I knew for sure that it's going to be one delicious, albeit messy dinner. The crab was ohhh soooo sweet and succulent, as were the huge shrimps. The mussels and clams were also done so right since their meats weren't shrunken down to a rubbery glob. We left happy as can be, and I'd definitely do a sequel at this place again if I ever come back to this area. read more

Well everyone laughs at the name of this place but the food is nothing to laugh at. It's seriously good!!! We got crab, mussels, clams, shrimp, sausage, potatoes, and corn. We did the House seasoning with no heat sauce and it was perfect. The sausage had a little bit to it but wasn't too spicy for any of us. We also had the crab pops and calamari rings. Our waitress was running from table to table but was so helpful and informative! She helps take the guess out of everything especially how much to order! The place was literally packed...always a good sign! We'll definitely be back again!!! The only negative I'd give is the place isn't the cleanest but it's not that bad either. I always come to this restaurant and I am always super excited to eat their food!!! I have gone multiple times and every time I go I always get greeted by very rude OWNERS. The owners are two guys and they always have a disgusting attitude and sucky prices. If you go here know you will be paying 30 dollars per person for nothing. We were traveling through Chico and saw the ratings. If you like Cajun seafood, this is the place to stop!!! Yummy! The service was great, the owner and waitress were cheerful and took us in as the last diner of the night. The food was great, I loved you could pick your own seafood for your Cajun boil served on the table which was fun to eat with your hands. We had a boil with corn, tasty garlic sausage, shrimp and king crab legs, it was delicious. We chose the medium Cajun sauce and it was perfectly seasoned with spices and fresh garlic. We also enjoyed Cajun fries, fried oysters and fried calamari. All of it was delicious. This was a fun and enjoyable find on our travel through Chico. read more

The drink menu is limited to your typical soft drinks and domestic beers, along with your Sierra Nevada options. These do the trick though as the main course is the real draw. Been here a couple times so far. It's definitely a family favorite. It's a fun experience with the kids having all the seafood poured our all over the table. Most of the food is excellent. Their Cajun spices are delicious (their cajun fries are the best fries in the world!) The crab seems pretty fresh and tasty as does their other seafood. I wasn't super sold on the shrimp, it tasted just a tad off. Their bread is super soft and delicious! I also like their menu and the choices they offer, with a nice range of sides. I will definitely be going back! It was really tasty but it is expensive for Chico because it's seafood. We got no spice and that was perfect for me. We just did butter, garlic sauce and it was very tasty. I wish they offered sourdough fresh bread or something like that. Since they didn't, we just stopped by the store and got some. Everything was still take out when I ate there so I'm not sure about the bathrooms, tables etc, the parking lot was easy. They open a little late in the day. I tend to eat lunch around 11am. Customer service was really delightful Man who greeted us was so kind. The restaurant is doing take out only with COVID restrictions but I'm happy to say with a six min walk our food was piping hot when we got back to our hotel. The potatoes were yummy , the seasoning a little spicy for mild but overall not a bad meal. Ask for forks though as we forgot. The shrimp has to be peeled yourself head and all so make sure to eat naked or risk your clothes staining yellow/oranges. Would eat here again if craving boil. read more

Oh I can't say enough good things about this place. It's such a unique dining experience when you get to eat-in. They put a clean tablecloth down and put the food on the table and you wear bibs. My wife and I had been craving some crab for a while and I heard good things about this place we ordered about 85 dollars worth of food and It was all overcooked the potatoes are the only thing that was cooked right the crab was chewy the corn was disgusting and the whole food had no flavor overall we tried returning it today in an appropriate way being polite and simply asking for a refund and the manager there started screaming at my wife the second we came in no one in the staff was helpful nor polite everyone was being rude and disrespectful if I had the option to give them 0 stars I would don't waste your time at this place read more

"sorry we are out" bread... sorry we are out" REALLY... Bread... at dinner time!... We ordered muscles and shrimp.. 1/2 pound of each in the house sauce... but asked that the food be served on plates.."sorry we don't do that" ok.. but leave in the bags and we will take out ourselves... can we have forks? "Nope, only plastic" several tables had regular flatware but we couldn't...the mussels had been frozen and were very small... the shrimp had to be shelled and heads removed.. but we knew that upfront.. the food was good but not spectacular.. like you would expect from a restaurant that specializes in seafood. I don't care for restaurants that pour food on paper on the table.. but thought.. why not... well why not is because it's messy and unappetizing . The restaurant wasn't very clean... but you would expect some sauces on the floor... but the dirty rags next to bottles of unlabeled cleaners on the counters in front of the kitchen was an appetite killer... we were in Chico for several days.. never went back.. and it was literally 10 steps from our room. read more

I came here two days after the grand opening. The restaurant is like a Boiling Crab from the SF bay area. I ordered the beer battered cod since I'm allergic to shrimp. It was well cooked and delicious, although the portion size was small for the price, especially since there's no meal, everything is extra. For twelve dollars, you can get a gigantic fish and chips somewhere else. The Cajun fries were good, even if they were more salty than normal Cajun style. Parking is limited, but it's in the southern downtown area where there are no meters, so it wasn't too bad. Service was average, the young waiter was reasonably attentive. read more

So literally just finished my meal and washed my hands. The place just opened this weekend and I had to come the moment I heard about it. Because they just opened the place does not seem done and they were missing a few items on their menu, including crawfish. I got a pound of shrimp in the house sauce non spicy. I know it is by weight but the bag seemed to be on the smaller side. It could have used a little more sauce in the bag but the shrimp was very good. They were cooked perfectly and very fresh. They were actually pretty big too compared to other places we have been to in Sac and in the bay. Their sauce was also very good I just wish there was a bit more of it. The fried cod basket seemed to be a bit of a rip off because it just came with like 5 finger like pieces of cod with no fries for 10.99.
