I ordered a meal from here through DoorDash on Monday. The combination sauce was delicious and I ordered one of the combos and got to try the snow crab legs, mussels, and clams. I ordered a medium spice and it was just the perfect level. I'm very glad that I finally got the chance to try this place. But the strange thing that happened that at the bottom of my bag was a gold ring it didn't end up in any of my food thankfully. When I tried to call the restaurant and speak to a manager to inform them what happened she was very defensive about how it could " never be from her" and that it was definitely from the doordasher. Even though the bag was sealed I find it a little unlikely that it could be from the DoorDasher but anything is possible. I felt like the situation could be handled a little bit differently since I wasn't even complaining I just wanted to return the ring. They just gave me a bad taste. If you're in the area and craving sushi, this spot might be worth trying, but manage your expectations. My husband and I came here on a Tuesday night for AYCE sushi, and while the food was okay, it didn't leave much of an impression. Most of the sushi tasted pretty similar, and nothing really stood out. The tempura rolls didn't have much filling, but they were still quite heavy. Just a heads-up, they do have a policy about charging for excessive waste, which is noted on their menu. The restaurant itself was nice and clean, which we appreciated. However, I would recommend skipping the Pacific rolls. They had mango slices and were covered in a sweet mango sauce, with even more sauce on top. The flavors didn't work well together--it was overly sweet and just didn't feel like it belonged on sushi. That said, the mango sauce itself was decent and might pair better with something else. The service could use some improvement. It took a while for them to check on us and take our orders, even though the restaurant wasn't busy--there were only about four small families dining when we visited. The fried oysters were okay, but the spicy mayo tasted a bit off. On the bright side, the miso soup was fine, so that was a nice touch. Overall, while the experience wasn't what we were hoping for, the clean atmosphere and decent soup were positives. This place is just a wonderful Ma and Pa restaurant. The service was excellent. The waitresses were always on top of our order and needing refills on our drinks. So me and my wife Sokny did the AYCE sushi, and the food was delicious. Me and Sokny had about 10 different rolls along with fried fish and calamari, as well as some Cajun clam chowder, and house salad. The sushi we ate range from salmon, shrimp, tempura, black dragon rolls, and many others. The noise level was quiet with a seating capacity of 50 people. Me and my wife Sokny had to order off the lunch menu, but if you go for the dinner, it's after 3:30 pm. Pricewise I spent about $60. I seriously recommend this place. We took our daughter here for her 15th birthday. The waitress who took our order had no manners at all. We all got miso soup in their regular bowls. My husband's three sushi rolls, my seaweed salad, and my one sushi roll came out. No masago on my sushi roll like I had ordered. Nothing came out for our daughter. They didn't ask nor check until I flagged a waiter down. No apologies. He asked if it was the lady who took our order. We said yes. He then took our daughter's order. For the price we paid, it was a great value. Service was also prompt, and they constantly checked in on us, to make sure we were satisfied. We did the AYCE option at lunch, and it was tremendous value. I was super hungry, and it was a great way to make my stomach happy. I enjoyed everything I tried and ordered, and really can't complain about the AYCE experience. At other places, it can be soured by waiting too long to be acknowledged by the staff, but food and drink was constantly being replenished. The food was solid. Because the staff kept coming back and back to our table, we had the privilege of eating the dishes as they immediately came out of the kitchen, adding to the experience. We didn't have to order a ton, and then some of the dishes sat on the table until we got to them. I really had a good time here and got my money's worth. Don't feast too much in the appetizers, make room for sushi, trust me... Had about 4 rolls, also suggest asking what's chefs favorite. My mom had mentioned this place, and we decided to try it out. I made reservations on Yelp for yesterday at 7pm. Walked in, and it was pretty empty, so no crowd! We were seated right away, and our server was great. They are all very attentive and helpful. The place is cute on the inside, about average noise levels. We wanted the AYCE sushi $30 pp at dinner. This review is for their $20 AYCE lunch. They have a pretty good variety to choose from. You order from their menu vs buffet style. Orders came out pretty quick, and we ordered a lot of stuff. The sushi rolls are pretty decent size, not too big, so the pieces were easy to eat. I think the rolls were 8 pieces. The nigiri had very little rice, which was perfect. You get one per order, so I was able to try a few different ones. The fish tasted really fresh. We had chow mein and fried rice too, which were tasty. For dessert, we got ice cream and sesame balls. Food was cool! Rolls were good except for the Bake sushi, it kinda tasted weird with cucumber in bake sushi and the rolls was falling apart, Maybe instead of cucumbers put crabmeat instead. The chowmein was too garlicky and salty, good but tooo much flavor.. The fried rice was cool. Only reason why they lost 1 star was for their slow service and I have to keep on asking for condiments for each dish I ordered and water wasn't refilled until asked & I was coughing my lungs up from the choking on a piece that went down the wrong pipe! My wife and I have been going to this restaurant since the grand opening. We have loved it ever since. Moving back to antelope from Rocklin and not having the same options we were so happy to have this place in our area. Some of the best customer service at any sushi location. We usually get the AYCE and you cannot go wrong. Quality is some of the best even to Rocklin standard. 10/10 recommend Recommend the nigiri and the pepper fin (4.99$) extra but worth the extra price. We usually go with the seared tuna. The ambience inside is quiet with the chef calling out occasionally that the order is prepared. Great place for any day of the week. read more

Visited this restaurant on a Thursday evening an hour before closing. You can't tell from the outside but it's very spacious inside! Right when my boyfriend and I walked in we were not greeted. We sat down and looked at the menu. I asked how many pounds would I get if I get the lunch special on the seafood boil and the server seemed unsure... didn't go ask anyone... I then ask "is it 1/2 lb of shrimp and 1/2 of mussels? We also got miso soup... was served in a paper bowl and tasted like a flavored water. Presentation of the sushi was nice... but that's about it. Not the best location. It's hidden and tucked away but once you try their food, you will definitely be back! It's our fourth time here and the food never disappoints. You have the option of doing all you can eat, boiling crab style or just ordering straight off the menu. Of course tonight the family did all you can eat..sushi, edamame, nigiri the works! We left completely stuffed. Service is great. Staff is very friendly. It is always so quick. The sushi chefs and cooks in the back always get the food out promptly. Wow!!!!!! First time takeout order. Online order was a breeze, they had so many options and so easy to navigate. Online said it would be 15 minutes, we got there and it was waiting for me. The restaurant is very clean inside, and stylish. We order chicken wings - crispy but not greasy. Great lemon pepper season. Fried Catfish with Lemon pepper fries - this was the best fried catfish we have found. The flavor was so good and the batter was perfect. Chicken Hibachi with Chow Mein - what a portion size! Great flavor and lovely veggies. I can definitely get 2/3 meals out of this personally. I drank a Thai Tea with boba - online it let me pick my sweetness! Great Thai tea. We did the all you can eat option, and first off, the rolls were definitely fresh tasting and delicious. Same for the appetizers and sides (gyoza, shumai, chow mein). For some reason, I tried the gumbo, and it was unexpectedly tasty. Most ayce places do 4-5 pieces per roll, but here it's 5-8, which is just a lot. Especially if you try a new roll and don't love it. After waiting a long time for one of our rolls to appear, they redeemed themselves with a 'chef's special roll' that they brought out to apologize for the wait. Shortly after that, service came to a screeching halt. No refills on water, no extra orders, no eye contact from the wait staff. We were ghosted after only 2-3 orders. 35 minutes without so much as a glance from the staff, we finally just surrendered and asked for the check. We had ordered less so far than many of the tables around us, so I'm not sure what happened. But we took the hint, paid up, and left. I hope this was just a weird one-off, but it definitely soured the experience. Too many great sushi places in the area to spend that kind of money on unpredictable service. Passed by this restaurant so we decided to give it a try. The service was mediocre. Our server got irritated that we had a hard time understanding him and he made sure to let us know with his aggressive tone that he was offended. The service needs improvement. As for the food, it was just okay. The sushis were not as good and even though we chose medium spice for the seafood set, it was not spicy enough. It wasn't even mild spicy. After treating my daughter and her boyfriend (for ayce dinner) to what initially seemed to be a great meal/outing(which was not cheap)...the next morning I started experiencing very bad stomach pain headaches and diarrhea like never before. Tried this new place last night 6/24 and was surprised they do not serve any alcohol at all not even by the glass wine or bottled beer. It was disappointing. We showed up at 5:00pm and they only had two other tables with patrons. We were seated promptly and our server quickly took our drink orders. We we're waiting for a friend to join us, so we asked for a few more minutes to order. Once our friend arrived we ordered. Benito box teriyaki chicken, 1 lb head off garlic butter shrimp boil. 1/2 lb Shrimp head off and 1/2 lb snow crab spicy boil and a 1/2 lb snow crab and 1/2 lb shrimp head off lemon pepper boil. My husband wasn't impressed with his bonito box included was only a small portion of teriyaki chicken (4) slices. The Boils we ordered were delicious. Perfectly seasoned and would definitely order them again. The service for only a few patrons was lacking. The young man was extremely slow when we asked for utensils drink refills or hand wipes. We could tell he wasn't very motivated as a server. Overall for a new place I would return after they have been open for a while for the seafood boils.
