5 stars for a fantastic new Aldus location…read more My wife and I drive up from DC each year to get pretzel beer from Aldus. When we were driving up this year, I noticed the location changed from by a cemetery to the downtown area. We found some parking nearby and went in to check it out. The new Aldus location is a large beautiful area with a big bar and even a separate restaurant area. We took a seat and the wonderful bartender let us try out several holiday beers before picking our flight. Each beer we tasted was fun and interesting, but the pretzel-based ones were the best. We also ordered a hot pretzel (the venue gets some of its food from the nearby hotel), which was quite large and went great with our beers. Overall, the new Aldus brewing location is a huge upgrade. The nice location, cool staff, and great beer makes this a spot we will continue checking out for years to come.

BOTH BBW Rye and Bourbon were a delightful surprise at first taste, and they will remain our standard after dinner drinks. They are complex, smooth, and have excellent character. Their taste is very forward unlike many of their high end counterparts. These spirits also have an unexpected RICHNESS which is rare for most Rye and Bourbon.

Fenced in outdoor space, corn hole, food, drinks, live music, and recommended by a friend. And technically it had all of those things! And yet somehow, those things were generally only okay. First, music was inside and it was incredibly loud. So we go outside which was just.... A mess. Like, we got mustard on our clothes from an unclean table; food and napkin scraps all stuck in the grass everywhere you looked. Then, the service outside is through a window, which in itself is no problem. The issue is that it was single server on a Friday night and the line took a really long time. The food and drinks we did get, we enjoyed. Based on the other factors, I am unsure that I would make it a point to stop here when back in the area.

A few highlights from our visit: Live music created a fun and lively atmosphere throughout the evening. Guests are welcome to bring their own food, making it easy to put together a picnic-style experience. Plenty of space to sit, relax, and enjoy conversation with friends and family. Ample parking available on-site. Food trucks were available in addition to the winery's offerings. For wine, we tried the Twilight sparkling wine: A semi-sweet sparkling wine with notes of dark cherry, plum, and berries that finishes clean and refreshing. It was excellent and quickly became the highlight of the night. We enjoyed it so much that we ended up purchasing a second bottle to take home. A few things to keep in mind: Parking is on grass, which wasn't an issue during our visit. While there are no stairs to navigate, there are a few gentle hills and inclines leading to the seating areas. Popular events can draw a crowd, so arriving a bit early may help you secure a good spot. What stood out most was the atmosphere. We weren't the only ones taking advantage of the beautiful weather. Groups were gathered around tables enjoying wine, music, food, and conversation, creating a welcoming and festive environment without feeling overcrowded. Overall, The Vineyard at Hershey is a fantastic destination for a relaxing evening. Between the live music, excellent wine, food options, and scenic setting, it's an easy place to spend several enjoyable hours. We'll definitely be returning for another bottle of Twilight and another night under the stars

The wine we tried was decent and the beer was ok at best. Outside food and snacks were permitted for the show. While it's great they are hosting bands during the winter months, they need to invest in some noise reduction panels above and around the stage area. This enhancement would significantly improve the sound quality of the bands performing and the audience's experience. Two great qualities that we will return for in warmer months are the amazing deck and outside areas. These would be very nice areas to sit, sip, and enjoy music. One important piece of information is that location is about 15+ minutes south of Hershey off of Rt 283.

The gumbo was like beef baby food in gravy with over cooked rice. The menu said it was supposed to have alligator, chicken and andouille I couldn't really tell. I usually would've sent it back but I didn't want to hurt the cooks feeling. She seemed very proud of what she prepared. It was as if it was warmed and scooped.
