Plain fries no seasoning salt or regular salt
    Genghis P.

Food was plain and dry asked for no tomato and of course they put tomato. Fries were plain and no flavor at all no seasoning salt or regular salt. Don't think I will be coming back here. I question the sanitation practices and hand washing procedures. Couldn't finish my food. Waste of $18.11

    Cheese burger with grilled onions
    Tatiana M.

Came here for lunch while out running errands and I was very pleasantly surprised by this place I was very pleased with my meal and the service was great Javier took my order and he was very friendly and told me this place has been open since 1961 all I'm saying is open that long and survived Covid you know this place is good. There are many returning loyal customers is one of the first thing I've noticed while sitting waiting for my food all shaking hands or waving at each other.

The food is decent and the portions are solid, but everything really lacked seasoning. I had a burger, onion rings, and fries, and honestly, every single item needed salt. The quality of the ingredients is there, but the flavors were just flat because of the lack of salt. It's a good, unpretentious spot for a quick meal, but the kitchen definitely needs to be more heavy-handed with the seasoning.

$7.99 special. Chesburger with fries and drink
    Leslie M.

Came here on a whim as we were driving by and saw a big sign that said $7.99 special. Burger with cheese, fries and small soda. We pulled in and ordered two of the special and wow we were not disappointed. They offer a variety of foods from American to Mexican and we did not try that but we did see alot of people came in to order the Mexican so we'll have to try it later. The burger was on the smaller side but for the price you really can't ask for more. It was so good and the fries were super crispy. They have a seasoning salt to put on the fries that I highly recommend. For $18 with tax, not a bad day. Will be back

Carne asada burrito with no meat
    Michael C.

So my friend and I went here about 3pm yesterday, it wasn't busy at all. We just got out the gym and wanted to get a burrito with some carne asada for protein. We go here to try it and ordered 2 carne asada burritos which came out to $29. There was less than a teaspoon of meat in the burrito and I asked for sides of green salsa and the guy told me it was in the burrito,l. I love salsa so I got one extra side of it anyway. After eating the burrito it was less the a teaspooon of carne asada. Zero salsa inside. And Hardly any cheese. Mostly was just beans rice and tortilla. Horrible!!! What a waste. Will definitely not be back to this place. Either the guy at the counter straight up lied, or the chef was not following instruction. I am so disappointed and will never recommend this place to anyone.

Stopped by to take my lunch since I'm not from the area and I needed to take my DOT lunch because I was working I gave them a shot and it was pretty good food . the service was fast and the prices were really good . Rarely do you find a place that sells a cheeseburger special for under $10 the place is not the best looking and neither is the location but it did the job

Hidden inside the Galpin Ford dealership, this classic diner has a fun retro atmosphere with a long counter, comfortable booths, and a menu that has just about everything. It's easy to see why this place has been around for so many years. I ordered the carne asada skillet, and it was a hearty, satisfying breakfast. The steak was flavorful, the vegetables and potatoes were cooked well, and the eggs tied everything together nicely. The salsa added a nice kick, and the toast and coffee made it a complete meal. The portions were generous, and I left full. The customer service was top notch. Everyone I interacted with was genuinely friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout my visit. My food arrived quickly, my coffee was kept filled, and the staff made sure everything was going well. Great service like that definitely makes the experience even better. The quality, service and unique atmosphere make it worth the visit. I'll definitely be back to try the surf and turg and the steak and eggs on my next visit.

We're so glad we did. We got lucky that when we came for dinner the parking lot was empty. Within about 20 minutes it was completely full with people just double parked waiting for someone to leave. This is a place that I think would best serve being able to walk to or get things to go to enjoy elsewhere. However, if you were to not dine in, you wouldn't be able to experience the very friendly and helpful staff. They're all running around taking orders, prepping parts of meals, and calling out finished orders, yet they do it with such a seamless rhythm and ease. Even when they were in full blown dinner rush mode the moved with a calmness yet urgency that I wish other restaurant employees could study. The customer service was fantastic. the interior is small, but fun. It's got the feel of a 50s diner with a mural of classic Hollywood figures. Booths and tables are a bit small, but clean and look well maintained. In all, it's a great, inviting place to eat. The food was very good. It's your classic diner fair. Nothing special but they offer everything from breakfast to sandwiches to burgers and Mexican food. Breakfast is also served all day (except for waffles much to my kids' disappointment isn't served during dinner hours). My kids tried the cheeseburger and loved it. My youngest devoured his hot dog and I really enjoyed my Ruben sandwich (though I wish I could've had it on rye bread). Honestly, my only real complaint about the food was that the fries were somewhat bland and everything felt about a dollar or two too much. Though, I will admit that is just the state of restaurants these days. I am no knocking them for that, just pointing out that this isn't really going to be a cheap meal. A tasty & filling one for sure, but not cheap. In all, you can tell why Beeps has been around for decades. It knows what it is and does it well. This is a place that can become a family staple restaurant. And with their huge menu, it would take a long time to get through everything which I love.

Millie's is a cute classic diner with ample parking right off the corner of Balboa and Vanowen. Its modest outside and faded sign hides a vibrant and bustling interior this Sunday morning when we came by. We were quickly seated in a booth and wow! The menu is huge. So many pages had me feeling like I had not adequately studied for an exam. My wife is in love with corn beef hash--if it is available she will be ordering it. She acquired a table pancake as part of her CBH order, and I at Ana's recommendation got the chilaquiles, which were very good! They had the right mix of tortillas, beans, egg, and not too saucy. She brought some "spicy" salsa with a bit of a kick--not enough for me but enough for my wife--next time I want some REAL spice, Ana!! :) As I am rather large and was rather hungry, I ordered an additional two scrambled eggs to add to the chilaquiles so if that's you consider adding eggs to the initial order. It was a lot of food, make no mistake. The plates on the first page are certainly ample. The atmosphere is cute. Lots of Knick knacks and pictures on the wall, kids from a baseball team running around, and plenty of people who had retired before you were born shuffling about and opening the blinds to see the menu better. We were very well taken care of. I would say the food is 3.5-4 stars, definitely solid. But the service really puts it up to 5 stars, Ana took the time to meet us and I know she expects us back soon!

After waiting in line in the heat, we were met with an employee whose attitude was rude, dismissive, and unwelcoming from the start. We walked in smiling, excited to enjoy a weekend breakfast and walked out understanding why this business is closing. It's difficult to imagine many customers returning when they're treated this way, regardless of the food or diner ambiance. We completely lost our appetite - no one wants to pay for a meal only to have it slammed down in front of them. The employee's behavior was nasty, disrespectful and completely unacceptable. It left a bad taste in our mouths before we even took our first bite. I've never left a 1 star review before, but the complete lack of respect and basic courtesy left me with no other choice.
