I've ordered from here a few times already and...get this...our orders are always correct!!! I can't tell you how many times I've ordered from local restaurants and there is always something missing. The gentleman at the front always insures your order is complete before handing it over to you. The Cali Chicken Sandwich is probably my favorite item to order from here. I love this place! The guy on line before me ordered a tuna melt so I decided to copy him. I know my tuna melts! I order them at deli's and I can tell you that theirs is just as good, if not better! They use quality rye bread and plenty of delicious tuna. I had it for two lunches. Oh and their breakfasts are great too. They're very generous with their delicious hash browns. Tasty chicken for the chicken breast burger! Just a bit too salty. The fries didn't have any spices on them, and I could barely taste the salt. The ranch wasn't meant for fries, either. I can't say exactly how long but the decor is original and it's definitely old. The staff is very friendly and they know almost everyone that walks in. I stick to their burgers. I want to say that it's a little on the greasy side sometimes but it's still good. All I have to do is dab it with a napkin and I'm set to go! Lol. It's very inexpensive and pretty quick too. This place is a tasty hole in the wall. It's called Big Fat for a reason, lots of greasy food. Decent prices, only took cash, but I think they just recently added on debit ( to spend a certain amount). They carry sodas, Orange Bang, Orchata, and several other drinks. They have an old school pin ball machine. It's a lot of neighborhood regulars including myself who grew up on it. Customer service is excellent and make your food upon order. Tried out Big Fat last night.... and the name is fitting! I got the double cheeseburger combo and while eating it, I could feel myself getting fatter. That's not necessarily a bad thing... LOL. :-) It was big, and had a great flavor. I'm not sure how much cheese they put on the burger, but it is one of the cheesiest burgers I've had. The fries were larger, fatter fries like steak fries. Pretty tasty. All in all, this isn't a place that I will frequent (or else I will have a heart attack), but it makes me smile to know that places like this still exist. With Habit's and In-And-Out's popping up everywhere, its nice to know that this family-run business is still around. I hope they last! read more

I wanted a burger and some chili fries and knew I needed a place other than In & Out (what great things they could do with Chili I bet). So I have driven past Big Fat quite a few times and decided to give 'em a shot. Upon walking inside and being very pleasantly greeted I opted for a Big Fat burger with cheese and an order of chili fries. I sat down, after passing by a handful of old school arcade machines (all unplugged...weird) and waited. Just a few minutes later (okay, maybe 8 minutes) the gentleman brought out a tray with my burger and fries. Then brought me a fork as he knew I would need it for the chili fries. So the burger was good. For sure cooked to order, over flames, and it tasted really flavorful. The toppings didn't do much in the way of imparting flavor, but it was simple and reminded me of something you'd have at a neighbors BBQ (not in a bad way, just simple and to the point). The fries were steak fries, personally, not a huge fan of steak fries as they are tough to cook all the way though correctly and are even harder to get with a crisp exterior. But this was what the chili was poured over. If I had to guess I would say the chili was brought in and not made in house. It tasted generic... so the addition of mustard and ketchup helped tremendously. Honestly, I didn't have anything that compels me to go back and try something else. The service was exceptional and earns a whole star by itself. It was cheap, but next time I want chili fries and a burger, I will have to look elsewhere. read more

The owner is nice, but the thinner bald guy in the other hand can't answer phones, is rude af, has no customer service, and doesn't wash his hands after he touches the register. When you ask him to wash his hands he gets bothered and gives attitude. I was a loyal customer since 2012 and put up with the bs of the guy who's name I think is Arturo because the food is good but 2019 was the last straw. When I picked up my order I realized I didn't receive my fries with cheese and bacon I asked him to put cheese and bacon so he went to the back amd took the fries out of the bag with his hands after helping a customer at the register. when I confronted him he denied it but I got upset because not only did he lie to my face but he didn't admit his faults after I saw him get my fries with his own bare hands. This place is a hole ... Dining area had a seemingly homeless guy hanging out watching telemundo or something. I don't really recommend dining in. The fries were too big, so much so that they weren't that crispy. Their burger was pretty huge and by the time I got home the burger wrap was soaked in grease. I guess they try to live up to their name "Big Fat"? As far as the burger goes, it tasted pretty good. A level of guilt did settle in when I realized how much grease I was probably consuming. I took home their menu, and looked it over that evening. This place does a ton of stuff. You can get chicken teriyaki, asada burrito, chili dog, fried chicken dinner, among 10,000 other different items .. all in the same place.
