The food wasn't that great. Kind of disappointed with are smash burgers. We had both double smash with cheese. One came with no cheese and other one had hardly any cheese. Bacon strips add on was very small. The service was good. What come out wasn't good. It wasn't busy only customers that came in. They did get the extra seasoning for fry's. The hamburgers would be better with more sauce felt dry. If you want to try. I would ask for extra sauce or put some hot sauce. Sweet potato fries dry not very tasty. Man I was really excited to try this place and as much as I wanted to like it, I just wasn't impressed specially for the price. Ordered 3 triple smashed burgers with cheese and guess what!? They forgot to add cheese SMH. Ok so I guess I was lucky to have cheese at home. Next, I felt like the meat lacked seasoning, it tasted pretty bland like they just mashed ground beef and threw it on the flat iron grill. Craving a burger but did not want to brave the lines at In and Out. Hopped on yelp and found Get Smashed. Ordered a single smash burger. 6.50 for single burger is priced right but they nickel and dime, charging a dollar extra for both cheese and jalapeños. Ordered some well done fries to go along with the burger. Got home from a short drive and dug in. Burger was served on a pillowy soft bun, and had nice crispy edges but was oversauced. The grilled onions get lost in the sauce and you don't really realize they are there. You must add jalapeños to this burger as it adds much needed acid,as the amount of pickles is lacking. Fries are an after thought. Not much attention paid to them. Overall a place with potential but the attention to detail is just not there. With a very limited menu, detail is of utmost importance. May head back to try them again once the growing pains are worked out. read more

I was so excited to try Get Smashed LA because I do love a good smash burger. I rarely have to leave this bad of a review, but I was sooo disappointed. 1) I understand the point is to be smashed, but I've never had a burger where I can see the bun underneath and see through holes in the meat. 2) One might say a "see-through" patty is a one off deal, but we ordered 4 smash burgers and all 4 had the same pitifully thin patty. 3) People need to order two burgers to get full, which at $6.50 for a plain burger with no cheese means $13.00 and... no cheese. 4) It's really bad if I have to take the time to go onto the Carl's Jr. website and look up how much an Original Angus Burger is with Cheese... $7.39 and even includes more toppings. The most important part is that I can't see through the patty at Carl's, plus it's a giant burger leaving me extremely full. Their char flavors are incredible. This smash burger didn't have much flavor. 2 In and Out burgers would've been satisfying. All in all, I can say I tried it once, but I definitely would not go back. read more

I am excited that we now have Get Smashed to fulfill my smash burger craving in the Valley. I ordered a triple and a single (both w/ cheese). The burgers had a yummy char taste, and was very flavorful and juicy. The cheese had an excellent melt, and the smash sauce, pickles, and grilled onions all combined for a tasty bliss. Don't forget the sweet n' savory sweet potato fries - portion was enough to share between two people. The workers were very friendly and answered all our questions. Just went in to try this with my son as we had seen their stand promoting it. I love burgers so was excited to try it. Did not disappoint, only suggestion or critique I could make is a bit more special sauce. But overall the burger was delicious, the mustard added so much flavor. Would definitely try again. The fries are a very large portion but they were delicious. As for my son, his only critique was bun felt a bit "cheap" and too much mustard. To him the Fries needed a bit more seasoning. We ordered here for the first time after trying their burgers at a baby shower they catered recently but wow what a difference. The fries were soo salty i couldn't even finish them if I wanted to. My whole family felt the same. I also ordered a side of fries for my daughter and they gave me less than half of their food boxes worth of fries for what the price was. Not worth it. Sad because i was honestly looking forward to finding a new spot nearby with bomb food. Our family never wastes food but needless to say the salty under portioned food was wasted. When you are 8 1/2 months prego and craving smashed burger but wanting a new smashed burger place can be a hit or a miss. This was a hit! Meat was crispy but thick with onions inside, sweet potatoe fries were great crispy but still soft! The sauce was perfect and they have extra sauces on the side. The ranch was good too, more on a pepper side. Buns were toasted as well. Ambiance I would definitely say a hole a the wall win! Service was nice! They opened recently right in our hood and were pleased that we get a little bit of variety as we're getting tired of all the pop up taco stands. We got double smash with fries and onion rings. The burgers were legit smash with a bit of crunch that ur supposed to get with great satisfying flavor and their sauce adds a great dimension to the build. The onion rings win over the fries. My only downer is the cheese has a bit of processed taste rather than real cheddar and wish there was a fresh ingredient option as I like lettuce and tomato on my burgers. I've tried the burger3000 which was below this place, and for the win in van nuys had a better burger but terrible fries and bad service. This place was fast, the onion rings were some of the best I've had fresh, crispy and thick and the price beats the competition. I think the burger coulda used more sauce. But the bun, the egg, and pickles and onions were good. The meat could have been a lil better. I'll definitely come back. They should add a dessert to the menu. read more

The burger's flavor & char were very good. This really has the potential to be a great burger (as in Shake Shack $ InNout). However, the meat was smashed too thin for a single so it was bigger than the bun, but, was cooked nicely. Very little sauce (not even a tablespoon) which would have made for a delicious bite if there were more. Pickles added to the flavor. No mustard so I had to add my own at home. My husband's burger was smaller than the bun but not any thicker than mine which was confusing because I assume each raw patty is weighed before cooking. He also had a tiny bit of sauce and his burger lacked mustard. Lots of sweet potato fries in an order but were not crispy on the outside. My husband's regular fries were less than half the amount of sweet potato which was surprising also. Quality control is one of the most difficult aspects of food production. If this could be corrected this burger place would be great. The two young men who were working did their job - one cooking, one taking orders.
