Plain fries no seasoning salt or regular salt
    Genghis P.

Food was plain and dry asked for no tomato and of course they put tomato. Fries were plain and no flavor at all no seasoning salt or regular salt. Don't think I will be coming back here. I question the sanitation practices and hand washing procedures. Couldn't finish my food. Waste of $18.11

    Cheese burger with grilled onions
    Tatiana M.

Came here for lunch while out running errands and I was very pleasantly surprised by this place I was very pleased with my meal and the service was great Javier took my order and he was very friendly and told me this place has been open since 1961 all I'm saying is open that long and survived Covid you know this place is good. There are many returning loyal customers is one of the first thing I've noticed while sitting waiting for my food all shaking hands or waving at each other.

The food is decent and the portions are solid, but everything really lacked seasoning. I had a burger, onion rings, and fries, and honestly, every single item needed salt. The quality of the ingredients is there, but the flavors were just flat because of the lack of salt. It's a good, unpretentious spot for a quick meal, but the kitchen definitely needs to be more heavy-handed with the seasoning.

$7.99 special. Chesburger with fries and drink
    Leslie M.

Came here on a whim as we were driving by and saw a big sign that said $7.99 special. Burger with cheese, fries and small soda. We pulled in and ordered two of the special and wow we were not disappointed. They offer a variety of foods from American to Mexican and we did not try that but we did see alot of people came in to order the Mexican so we'll have to try it later. The burger was on the smaller side but for the price you really can't ask for more. It was so good and the fries were super crispy. They have a seasoning salt to put on the fries that I highly recommend. For $18 with tax, not a bad day. Will be back

Carne asada burrito with no meat
    Michael C.

So my friend and I went here about 3pm yesterday, it wasn't busy at all. We just got out the gym and wanted to get a burrito with some carne asada for protein. We go here to try it and ordered 2 carne asada burritos which came out to $29. There was less than a teaspoon of meat in the burrito and I asked for sides of green salsa and the guy told me it was in the burrito,l. I love salsa so I got one extra side of it anyway. After eating the burrito it was less the a teaspooon of carne asada. Zero salsa inside. And Hardly any cheese. Mostly was just beans rice and tortilla. Horrible!!! What a waste. Will definitely not be back to this place. Either the guy at the counter straight up lied, or the chef was not following instruction. I am so disappointed and will never recommend this place to anyone.

For those of you who live in the SFV, you know that good breakfast spots are hard to come by and if you do know any, you've already been there a thousand times. While searching for something new, I stumbled across this spot! My boyfriend and I love old diners like these so we decided to give it a try. I won't lie to you, pulling up and seeing it was at a Galpin dealership kind of threw us off lol But OMG this place was amazing! Right off the bat, the ambiance was so nice, like stepping into a time machine and being back in the 60s. We were greeted so warmly and decided to sit at the bar to get the full experience. Upon looking at the menu, they had more than just breakfast. They had burgers, sandwiches, melts, steaks and more! GET IT AT GALPIN Now, the chefs. Just by looking at them through the pass, I knew I was about to have the greatest food I've ever tasted.. I ordered the griddle combo with french toast, my boyfriend ordered the huevos rancheros and we got a pastrami melt to share, and it was life changing. The butter just melted on the french toast paired with the warm syrup on the side... o m g I tried the orange juice and thought "that is freshly squeezed" and look up to find a machine squeezing fresh oranges, amazing. Our server Sesy was so attentive and even gave us a slice of homemade banana cream pie for my boyfriend's birthday! (all their pies are homemade btw) Can't even be mad at the prices cause I got exactly what I paid for, worth every penny! This is definitely a new favorite spot we'll be coming to a thousand more times :) 10/10 Food 10/10 Service GET IT AT GALPIN

I ended up purchasing a car from Galpin last year, so I've had even more opportunities to stop by Horseless Carriage over the past year, and it's still just as good as I remember. Whether I'm there for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the food is always fresh, crisp, and full of flavor. You can tell there's a real standard for the food here, and I think it's far above what you normally expect from a restaurant connected to a dealership. Geovanni is also fantastic, especially when it comes to restaurant standards and catering. He's incredibly detailed and makes sure everything is taken care of, and his staff is always so friendly and welcoming. Everyone seems to genuinely enjoy being there, and you can tell. I also love that whenever I'm here, I see so many familiar faces. There are clearly a ton of regulars, and the restaurant is busy all the time. To me, that says a lot more than anything else could. People keep coming back because of the relationships they've built with the staff and the consistency of the experience. After coming here for more than 20 years, I can honestly say the quality is still there. You can tell the family takes a lot of pride in this restaurant, and it shows. It's one of those places where you know you're going to get a good meal every time, whether it's breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Cheers to consistency!

I had a dirty fork, asked for a clean one, immediately received, with an apology. The salt shaker has food on it. I guess I don't need salt. Underneath the music selector box(es), someone needs to clean there too. Under mine, were crumbs and tidbits of dust and such. The table next to us, has a balled up piece of paper. :( We ordered, about 15 mins later we received our food. I got handed my toast with either my husband's or my son's gravy under the toast plate (he explained that it probably dipped into one of their plates) and now gravy on three of my fingers. (I had this once happen to me from another restaurant where it was avocado and none of us ordered avocado.) So I'm traumatized with how food is served to me, like in a "were the dishes washed" aspect. This accident happened luckily in front of our server. He changed/cleaned my toast plate then gave me back my toast. We all had coffee. Coffee service was above and beyond and always topped off. Food was very nice and exactly as requested. This place is very expensive. You might think, it's comparable! I say it is not. I believe it's slightly above, where adding a side of meat, was 5.49 (which I refused to do) and for the money people are spending there, they should be "spotless clean". That's my take and my rating averages 3 stars, with the clean being a one star. They can do better with all the worker bodies moving around. This appears to be pure laziness.

I'm one of those people who always looks at Yelp photos before ordering because I like to see what the food actually looks like. I'm a huge chicken tender fan, but I didn't really see any photos of their tenders that made me want to order them. That's also why I try to take photos of my own food whenever I can because it really does help other people decide! All three of us ended up getting salads. I had the Italian Chop Salad, one friend had the Asian Chicken Salad, which I've had before and really like, and my other friend had the Cobb Salad. All three plates were pretty much cleaned, so I'd say that's a good sign! The staff is always really nice and attentive, and they keep up with drink refills without you having to track someone down, which I definitely appreciate. I wish I had kept the receipt or taken note of the bartender's name. She was very welcoming and helpful. The place itself was kind of a throwback. There are no unnecessary frills, just a bar, some stools and a few booths. I am a simple man so I went with the flat iron steak and eggs. I went with sunny side up eggs and hash rooms to go with my medium, rare steak. I also opted for sourdough toast, it came to the table with one of my favorite things, soft whipped butter. My steak was perfectly cooked and so were my eggs. Hash browns are one of my favorite ways to eat potatoes and these did not disappoint. I will gladly go back and this time I will get the bartender's name.

After waiting in line in the heat, we were met with an employee whose attitude was rude, dismissive, and unwelcoming from the start. We then waited an unexpectedly long 40 minutes for very basic food, which was ultimately slammed onto our table by the same employee. Poor service can ruin an entire experience. We walked in smiling, excited to enjoy a weekend breakfast and walked out understanding why this business is closing. It's difficult to imagine many customers returning when they're treated this way, regardless of the food or diner ambiance. We completely lost our appetite - no one wants to pay for a meal only to have it slammed down in front of them. The employee's behavior was nasty, disrespectful and completely unacceptable. It left a bad taste in our mouths before we even took our first bite. I've never left a 1 star review before, but the complete lack of respect and basic courtesy left me with no other choice. I'm sharing this experience so others know what we encountered and can make an informed decision before visiting.
