Home fries

Fan of Big Ed's. Great place for home cooked food. Love the vintage decor lining the walls. I enjoy the French toast with bacon. I also got the home fries which are perfectly seasoned. Everything was great. Spencer was our server and he did a great job. Super friendly and checked on us frequently. Definitely will be back.

This restaurant is located in a shopping plaza with other businesses with shared parking in front. We came to the restaurant early one Sunday morning. We were seated right away. The employees that we engaged with were pleasant and attentive. I ordered the one egg combo with bacon, potatoes, eggs, and a biscuit. It didn't take long for our food to be brought out to us. The food was served hot. The potatoes and the biscuit were good. The biscuit was soft. The bacon was a little greasy and the eggs were a little too wet for my liking. Overall the meal wasn't bad.

I really wanted to like this place, because I love southern style breakfast and the location is close. Unfortunately, it was underwhelming. The parking and seating are ample. Tables are old school banquet tables with the metal bars restricting your legs from extending. The service was solid, nothing special. The menu looked great, except they didn't have country fried steak. My omelette and home fries were ok, but I sincerely prefer Waffle House. My son attempted the 3 hot cake challenge and miserably failed. He ate one. The biscuits and French toast were very dry. The prices are far greater than Waffle House for a lesser product. Sadly, we won't be returning.

First timer! We have heard a lot about this spot and seems pretty popular in the area. I know they have multiple locations so we tried the one in garner. There was a line, but it moved pretty quickly. Maybe a 5-10 minute wait. We both ordered the fried catfish breakfast, his with grits and mine with home style fries aka hash-browns( that's what I'm use to calling them back home). My bf ordered a biscuit and I did the hot cake. Warming the hot cake is HUGE. Like extremely massive. One is perfect for the table. It has a sweet flavor to it, kind of like cornbread. I really enjoyed it. I will say that the catfish tasted pretty salty. And I think it was more the batter than it was the actual fish, because the fish seemed as if it was seasoned perfectly. We are normally ok with saltier food, so it wasn't a problem for us, but of note to others if that's the norm.

Good place to stop in for some southern cooking. I have been here for both breakfast and dinner. For breakfast, I ordered a pancake, an egg, and bacon. Pancake was thick and fluffy, and they used a pound cake batter for the pancakes. It's definitely one of my favorite pancakes in the area. Their dinner menu rotates, so something they'll have one thing on the menu, then other times they don't. I like that meals come with a dessert and I'll always choose banana pudding. Service is usually quick and attentive. Our waitress checked in often enough not to be overwhelming but also just right to make sure we had what we needed. This is a spot I stop in every once in a while when I just need a plate of classic southern food.

Great spot. The pancake was the size of the plate and super fluffy. Staff was friendly and the place was super clean.

A positive is that the remaining staff, keeping this operation afloat, seemed to be as attentive as allowable and the food seemed to be somewhat at the Panera standard but it makes you wonder. The items announced as unavailable presented as a rehearsed repeated cadence by every employee who were taking orders seemed to include some basic and easy Panera staples like mac 'n' cheese, soups, and chips and I found that to be a peculiar observation and wondered if it was related to the current dilapidated dysfunction of this location. What really shortened my visit or was the collage of garbage and evidence of previous visits that littered the ground and various tables, which had me searching longer than I'd like to admit for a place to eat with my family. I've had a long history of eating at Panera and have always had a good experience and the purpose of my post is to bring awareness where there may be none to save this location before it leads to locked doors and unemployment. Three stars exclusively for food

The place was pretty full with a line and he was never still shifting the pizzas around with the skill of someone who's done it for over 12 years. I was fascinated that with as many as 12 pizzas rotating in the oven he still knew exactly the order that each one needed to go in with the proper name on each box. When I asked if he could clean the oven surface to prevent too much char from sticking to the bottom of my pizza, he did not complain and brushed out each side before putting mine in and it was perfect! I just clicked any number to get help and asked the AI for "Representative". The live person came on the phone and greeted me, put me on hold for a long time, came back and said there was nothing she could do because she couldn't reach anyone from the restaurant! I'm done with this restaurant. The pizza is good, but the service is not worth it. I don't even want my money back. I feel like a fool for even ordering from there after point number (1) above. I'm erasing this pizza place from my restaurant list.

The location was super clean as far as the eye could see and the employees were professional and friendly, great service Thank you! I have had their pizza a few times and it's good and a reasonable price! This time I ordered a 12 inch meatball sub and a 10pcs buffalo hot wings which cost me nearly $30. All the food was good and cooked to perfection. I only gave a 4 out of 5 star due to a few factors. One, i feel the wing were very very small and left me feeling less then satisfied based on the price. The meatball sub was OK but first of all it didn't taste like real meatball, was more of a meat patty, obviously processed or ultra-processed meat and it had a spongy feeling. The sauce wasn't bad but had a bitter after taste. Their sauce could use a little work. I would suggest Marco's, I'm not saying it was bad, I just think it could be a bit better. If you're dropping near $30 for a sandwich and hot wings you shouldn't receive processed meat and tiny buffalo wings. Next time I go I will try the Italian sub I'm sure that will be more to my liking and I will not be ordering the hot wings.
