I went to Big Earl's to grab a cheeseburger. The place is small with friendly staff. Mostly outside seating. The cheeseburger was juicy and cooked just right; medium rare. It was a good sized burger. The bun got exchanged to potato bread which tends to be a little more flavorful than your regular bun. A very satisfying lunch. Napkins needed for the juicy tendencies of the meat. Parking in back of the restaurant.

Customer service was amazing. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. It is fun to sit outside, rather rustic which adds to the experience and atmosphere Saturdays they do family movies The burgers are great and the fries next level. Seriously good milkshakes Next door is an old fashioned candy store.

Cheese curds + caramel sauce = Funnel Cake?!

Hear me out: cheese curds + caramel sauce = funnel cake?! Yes, you read right! While in town scoping out a possible wedding venue, we stopped at Big Earl's for dinner. Our hostess introduced us to this twist as she learned it by someone from Wisconsin. Oh man, what a mind trip! But, if crazy combo foods aren't your thing, Big Earl's has patty melts, hot dogs, and, plenty of burger options to please any palate. Don't forget the shakes! There's limited indoor seating, plenty of outdoor seating (misters and yard games to keep everyone cool and entertained). Next door is a charming candy store with so many choices. They also sell shirts and hoodies to show off your trip.

Waiting for Hocus Pocus to start.

I am addicted to the Jewel of the Creek salad, so good. Burgers are good and the breakfast burritos are huge and delicious. This place is a fun and family friendly restaurant that we frequent.

Always relish a return to Big Earl's! Love me a tasty burger, and Biggy's the deal! Enjoy the retro 50's diner vibes!

The Big Earl's Burger with Green Chile might be might favorite Burger in town. I come out to Cave Creek to play golf a couple times a year and this place is always my go to place for a bite to eat when I'm done on the course. Being from NM, it's always great when I can find a place that serves up Hatch Green Chile on anything. Big Earl's does it right and I will continue to come back for more!

Such a cute unique restaurant! It's an old fashion gas station made into a fun restaurant. Most of the seating is outdoors but they did have limited indoor seating. My Dad got a peanut butter milkshake but when asked if it was made with real milk I was told it was a premade mix. They had all kinds of menu items one would expect from a "greasy eats " place. There's a cute candy shop next to the restaurant. Being gluten free I did not eat there. I didn't see any options for me. A fun place to hang out.

Absolutely love this place!! It has a small town feel and eating here made me feel like I was in a Hallmark Christmas movie. They have the cutest Christmas decorations and very friendly staff. I ordered Big Earl's burger with no onions and it was seriously amazing! It comes with a "secret" Cajun sauce. I don't typically like spicy things, but the sauce gave the burger extra extra flavor. We also tried out the AZ prickly pear lemonade and that was delicious! We came in here on a Saturday after doing some hiking in the area, and this place hit the spot. We were pretty hungry when we got here but left very satisfied! This restaurant is located on the main road and has its own parking lot. p.s. We also ordered the cheese curds which were great. I'd highly recommend them because you get a really big portion!

Classic Americana. Built from an old gas station, Big Earl's is a fun vibes kind of place. Great for a quick family outing and good food, I'd recommend this place to any of my friends.

The first time I stopped in for a glass of wine just to check it out -- they were about to close, but the staff was so kind and welcoming. I even saw a roadrunner on the patio, which honestly felt like the perfect Arizona welcome moment I went back yesterday after a 4-mile hike at Jewel of Cave Creek and had a turkey, avocado, and bacon sandwich with chips -- simple but absolutely delicious. Fresh, satisfying, and exactly what I needed after being out on the trails. Prices are very reasonable too. The vibe here is what makes it special. It's busy but relaxed, cozy but open, and you order at the counter which keeps everything easy and casual. They offer coffee, wine, pastries, sandwiches, salads, and more -- perfect for a quick bite or a chill afternoon. I especially love the setting surrounded by the little Cave Creek shops. It has such a peaceful, welcoming energy and is a great spot to sit outside, enjoy lunch, and soak in the Arizona sunshine. Whether you're hiking nearby or just exploring the area, this is a wonderful place to stop. I'll definitely be back

Review for the bar, yup folks, BAR!…read more Happened to be walking around the Sundail area at night and saw heard live music and surprised to see the coffee shop, expanded out to a full bar with food. Prices were, not cave creek. Happy Groovy Hour, 3-6pm... includes $4 drafts, $5 wines. The bar is huge, theres a lot of choice for drink, draft, beers, wine and food too. The buffalo wings smelt amazing when i walked in. Although both businesses are together, the bar area is decorated completely different and very comfortable to sit in, in a cold raining night. That night, 2 guitarists were giving a great performance, not too loud for a small venue, they took requests and played really well. I was served as soon as I sat at the bar, I could only stop for 15 mins that night and the bar tender understood and quickly severed me a couple of drinks with rhe check as requested Definitely worth heading out and checking out the café, now at night

My son has a severe gluten allergy and we came here as I saw they had gluten free pancakes. I informed the waitress of my son's allergy when we placed our order, and confirmed that his pancakes were gluten free when they were brought to our table. Being a normal 5 year old who loves pancakes, my baby enjoyed his breakfast... only to begin coughing intensely and then breaking out into severe hives (and panicking) shortly thereafter. By God's grace, we had his epi Pen nearby. We still ended up in the ER as his breathing was impacted in addition to the hives (thankfully the epi pen helped but he still had to receive treatment and be monitored). All of this was due to pancakes that we were told were gluten free. While my husband and I rushed our son to the hospital, my father who is a local resident, spoke with management. They comped our meal, which was kind. But this truly could have been a life or death situation.

I stood at the front for about 5 minutes before being acknowledged, and when I was, I was just told to "sit anywhere." After sitting down, I wasn't given menus and ended up having to go get them myself. Another 5 minutes passed before a server came over. When I asked about the specials that were advertised online, I was initially told there were no specials at all. Then she said, "oh, like happy hour?" which just felt dismissive and rude. We came specifically because of the Taco Tuesday and happy hour deals listed online (which even showed a date of April 7), but none of that was honored, she said that those specials were for the RODEO only. By the time my husband and daughter arrived, we realized there weren't even tacos included on the happy hour menu, which made the whole experience feel even more misleading. Between the lack of organization, slow service, and not honoring clearly advertised specials, the experience just didn't match expectations. It's frustrating to choose a place based on what's promoted and then have a completely different experience when you arrive.

Arrived on a Sunday at 1 pm and were seated in a corner booth. All wood booth, seating is tight for 7 and would be near impossible for 8. Hard straight up back. Glad i brought coat to sit on although it was a bit cool inside too. Old western style decor inside. A little crowded and noisy but since we were huddled in a tight booth, we had good conversations compared to other places. Seating outside with fair number of people but heaters didn't appear to be on - I would have been cold outside. Mostly picnic table seating outside; sitting next to road although fenced in. Some pups with patrons. Service good overall but fairly slow. Lilly had to go verify the special for the day. My burger came several minutes after other entries arrived - weird. I had the horny toad burger with fries - great fries! Burger had brisket with bacon too - it was fairly good. We also had onion rings as appetizer which were fairly good beer battered style. Others had the Cod and taco's, but the bday girl had liver an onions which she said were very good. Everyone liked the taco's and chips that came with them. The creamed corn was just ok, and coleslaw fairly good. No offer of little dessert for bday girl which was surprising given we told the waitress this and made reservation just for the occasion. Drinks were good overall. Beautiful drive to get there, but doubtful we will be back much. Value was ok for what we got but nothing tremendously special.
