Lots of TVs!

Went in on game night. Service was great. Even though it was busy, it was still great! The owner came by and chatted for a minute and was very nice! They have a awesome wing sauce selection. I have to try the dill pickle hot. Pretty good! Give them a try!

House salad with chicken

The salad is fresh and added chicken is tender and delicious. The wings could be cooked longer to crisp up a bit but have many flavors/sauces to choose from. Fries were fresh and hot and chicken sandwich was cooked and flavored very nicely. Service is a bit slow but super friendly so worth the wait. Lots of tvs with plenty of indoor/outdoor seating. Pets allowed on patio. Plenty of parking in open lot. Bathroom could use a scrub down but otherwise a great local establishment.

We stopped in for a drink and an app or two on a Friday. The bar was almost full but we found two seats and ordered beers. The beers were cold and that was the high point. After a bit, we ordered 10 wings with blue cheese and chips and salsa. While the salsa was good, the chips were right out of the bag. 30 seconds in the salamander would have warmed them up and made them much better. The wings were another story. Each wing piece was $1.60 and they were small, real small. For a restaurant that has wings in their name, we'd expect better. But the truly awful part was the blue cheese sauce. It was tangy skim milk. No sign of blue cheese pieces nor blue cheese flavor. When we dipped it on a carrot, it ran right off. After the fact, we noticed that no one at the bar had ordered food. I guess they knew something we didn't.

Last night we were in the mood for chicken wings while watching football. So, we placed an order for carry out at Whiskey & Wings. Although, we had ordered carry-out a couple of times before I wanted to mention that W&W is the only place to get wings! These are so big & meaty! NO other place compares!!! We ordered 10 wings & 2 orders of onion rings. The wings are so huge, We could only 2 1/2 wings each. The onion rings were delish, but the wings were truly the 'star of the show!' And, we had leftovers for tonight!!! SCORE! Easy to heat up in oven! We FaceTimed our 3 year old grandson from Detroit & he remembers having these when he visited in October & calls these wings 'Pterodactyl Wings! Dinosaurs Like I said they are HUGE!

We were in the area after a day out near Bartlett Lake and decided to find a local spot for lunch. We came across Whiskey & Wings and was intrigued by the name and I love wings. It was easy to find and parking was no issue. The lot is big. The place itself is quite large. We were greeted right away by a smiling waitress which is always a plus. The bar was great size and open seating but we opted for a booth as we weren't drinking today. There are a ton of TVs which of course had sports playing. It was not overly loud which was great and a lot of people seemed to be having a wonderful time. Whiskey and drink menu was pretty vast and I hear many people saying how cold and great the beer was. I was torn between a burger, winger salad, but again with wings in the name I had to go for it. They offered your typical party wings, but also whole wings and boneless. They have over 15 sauces I believe as well as dry rub. I chose the 10 party wings mild hot which come with celery and carrots. I also ordered the Bobcat Salad. My brother chose the 20 x-hot party wings. Our food came out pretty quick along with a ton of napkins and wet napkins which were a godsend because they were messy ha ha. The salad was amazing. It had good lettuce, bacon and such. It could've fed two people and I had to take half of it home. So good. The mold rings were almost too hot for me but I'm a wimp lol. Definitely hotter than your normal wings elsewhere. The x hot my brother said they were pretty hot. They were big, crispy and delicious. Service was good and our waitress happy and friendly. Come check this place out and support local!

Love that they opened this place up more and updated the bar area. Lots of seating. Sat at the bar and had great service with the bartender Kristin. Had the buffalo shrimp which were a good size. The southwest egg rolls aren't normally my thing but I really enjoyed it. The portions are a good size. Great place to catch a game.

I don't know if these are the worlds best wings, but they are contenders. Dill pickle are my new favorite flavor. WOW! We sat at the bar on football Sunday and had great service! Thanks Alison! You were working your butt off! We will be back for sure.

Excellent! We are locals and are SO pumped about a fun, locally-owned place with GREAT FOOD and service! The wings and whiskey selection are fantastic. The restaurant includes a bar but also a family friendly side. Highly recommend.

We had the pleasure of stopping in at the new Whiskey and Wings this afternoon! Just want a cold beer and an appetizer and got soooo much more! We were seated at the bar as we prefer and were skeptical at first from previous experience at different ownership but this time it was so different! We were pleasantly greeted by the Nick the owner and he graciously explained that they make most everything from scratch and gave us a thorough review of their sauces. Then. . . Nick brought us the onion rings! OMG! By far the best, flakiest thing I have ever had topped off with their honey mustard sauce! We realize this place is in its infancy stage and there is room for improvement but man! They have an excellent recipe for success with their food! Please check them out and support local!

Let's see what had one server who saw the left over plates (from the appetizers) and until I asked him to pick them up in a polite manner he was to walk away. And he was perturbed. Our server decided on how own to split a salad for us. Then we never saw him or anyone else see if we wanted refills. Started strong then fumbled midway through. The final kicker? He dropped the check and then never saw him. I went up to the hostess area where pick up is located and asked if they could check us out. Despite seeing a POS machine which allows them to do that. They didn't. Excuses included we don't know his code, we can't use a code. The idea of checking someone out when they got to bolt and your decision not to, is bad biz. Here is a simple way to solve this. 1. You have a piece of paper next to that pos which lists the servers that day and their codes. 2.. you then see their name, enter their code and close the check. Or you just use the code you have, and check out the customer. After this we decided we are NEVER coming back.

Cowgirl / Cowboy heaven!…read more - - - - - - - - February, 2026 Visit On a 1-5 scale, this is at least a 7! We visited Phoenix / Scottsdale in February and my wonderful wife hoped we could go line dancing one night and I wanted to go, too. By Friday night we had a chance to get out and about; thankfully the front desk recommended visiting Carefree and/or Cave Creek. We looked and saw that a couple places have line dancing and that Buffalo Chip has bull riding... but riding?!? WOW!! So we finished eating, got dressed and we're on our way. Note: patrons are of all type, and I tended to observe into three groups... 1) 20-somethings, mostly dressed to meet someone and have fun; 2) real cowgirls and cowboys (20s-30s) and 3) older/married couples, some in western garb and others not (including some guys from England visiting PHX for golf), some with kids (can be there until 9:30/10pm or so then must go home). Dress: while many are in boots and hats, that is not a requirement; we packed neither for either of us, but did our best in tennis shoes, next time we visit PHX/Scottsdale, we will bring / wear boots. On my Buffalo Chip is a busy busy place... everyone is friendly and that is good; even with a line at the front door, with a long lines to get into the rodeo and restroom, and a short line at the bar, everyone is happy and friendly and tapping their toes from the music. We were soon in the stadium for bull riding, which is on Wednesdays and Fridays, three times. We have seen bull riding and other sports on TV and that is fun and in-person is so much more exciting. Seating is available about 2/3 - 3/4 or the way around the round ring. Some is open and some of the better seats are VIP pay a little more to be higher and with a better view. The bill riding was a blast. The overall atmosphere is fantastic... anyone and everyone should be uplifted when in the presence of real cowboys and cowgirls, and extra uplifted when you are able to put on your best outfits for the night with your bette half. Buffalo Chip has been around since 1998 and will hopefully be around for a long long time!! ----- ----- -----

Good place to take people who are visiting AZ. We went for bullriding & mutton bustin' on Friday…read morenight--they have 3 rounds starting at 8pm, 9:30pm and 10:45pm. Got there @ 7:15pm and found parking in the nearby dirt lot, 5 min wait for wristbands, and got a good seat in the bleachers since we were early. Seats did run out when it got closer to 8pm but ppl do leave in between the rounds. Bullriding was a good time! The restaurant is solid. Got beer, fried pickles, burgers, and mac & cheese. Despite how busy they were, food didn't take long and our server was on it. They had a live band and couples were swing dancing. The only real downside is if you don't like crowds because this place is popular--it was already packed at 7pm and people were still pouring in when we left around 10pm. Makes finding a seat or table just a little harder. Bathroom lines were crazy long at times so good luck if you're a girl lol.

I truly left this spot with mixed feelings…read more On the one hand, our servers were fabulous! They were dealing with a very large party (with a lot of confusion) behind us, so it was clear both the servers and kitchen staff were stretched thin. I'm not sure if it's a newer addition based on the reviews, but the spot is decorated beautifully. With decor, games, a solid color scheme and a variety of menu options, it's truly an inviting standout in Carefree! Our food was just fine (I think they're aiming for elevated bar food), and our drinks were alright. I'm not sure my smoked old fashioned was prepared correctly but it happens. However, for the experience I left feeling I'd severely overpaid. Additionally, the company was questionable. A gentleman walked around the venue with a dog and a frown, a man came in barefoot to pick up an order, and I witnessed a non employee (or off shift employee?) sneak behind the bar several times. There seems to be a speakeasy medspa behind a painting, but we didn't get the details. This spot has the potential to be a total standout! A mixologist with a solid craft cocktail menu and execution, a menu rethink, and maybe some event programming and this spot could certainly be a home run! If I revisit, I'd be beyond delighted to see they've grown into their potential! Best of luck to these folks!

A Shoutout to Cindy & a New Neighborhood Favorite!…read more We just got back from lunch at Tox Bar/Speedy Burger in Carefree, and what a treat it was! To our delight, Cindy--yes, the Cindy many of us have known and loved for years--was there bartending and serving with the same warm smile and stellar service she's always been known for. This time, though, she's doing it at a place that offers great food, a fun and cozy ambience, and a dog-friendly patio--a rare combo that's hard to beat. Let's face it: dining out isn't as affordable as it once was. But as I told Cindy, I don't mind paying for quality food and excellent service--and that's exactly what you'll get at Tox Bar/Speedy Burger. For years, we were loyal regulars at Brisam's, visiting twice a week. But over time, prices soared, food quality declined, and the atmosphere never improved. The space started to feel tired and neglected. Sadly, the lack of connection from ownership didn't help--unless you were a former mayor or someone "important," you likely didn't get a second glance. Let's be honest: Cindy carried Brisam's for 18 years. Her genuine care for customers was the reason many of us kept going back. Now that she's moved on, it's no surprise to see the shift. So here's my suggestion: support a place that supports its people and customers. Tox Bar/Speedy Burger is that place. Stop by on Sundays or Tuesdays this summer to see Cindy in action. Come fall, I predict it'll be wall-to-wall locals enjoying everything this gem has to offer. Let's spread the word and give our support where it's truly deserved.
