Love this place! Very cute restaurant. Old gas station turned into a small burger joint. Local favorite! Try to go here once a week I love it so much. BEST burgers around. I am absolutely obsessed with the Big Kahuna Burger! But the Earls sauce (peppery/spiced mayo) is amazing too, don't miss out! And their fries!! Omg their fries are so flippin good! Took a drive to Cave Creek today to eat at Big Earl's after reading all the reviews. DIRTY DIRTY DIRTY. They do not care about how clean their restaurant is. Limited number inside to place order which was great. NO ONE WIPING DOWN outdoor tables after each use. I made the mistake of using the ladies room which was so disgusting and obviously not cleaned on a regular basis. Masks are required indoors by Maricopa County but they were not enforcing that order. My Big Earl burger had very little flavor....disappointing. Don't need to go there again. read more

Overall: cute place but terrible food. We ordered the Big Earl Burger, fried chicken sandwich and Cajun fries The food took forever to come out, over 30 mins. And my burger was cold! The fried chicken sandwich was barely warm. Burger was supposed to be cooked to medium but came out dry, burnt, and well done but it was cold. The chicken sandwich was mediocre at best. The bun was pretty good tho. Cajun fries were good and the only food that was hot and fresh. I'm not sure what took so long to get the food as it didn't seem to be THAT busy. I took 2 bites of the burger and just couldn't even finish it. There is no seasoning or flavor of any sort on the burger. It was awful. How this place have these great reviews... no idea! read more

My burger was good and had a good taste to it. Cave Creek is a tourist spot and people here try to plane for the crowd, but never know when it hits the place. Took a group of about 15 here on our way back into Phoenix from Seven Springs and had a great time. The burgers are phenomenal. The fries and shake I got are on par, but the burgers really are fantastic. The venue is very inviting and open, with a really fun sand volleyball court in the back that we took full advantage of. It did help that it was also about 75 degrees with a slight breeze. Just a perfect day, and a great little joint to grab a burger done the right way. I had been by here several times on lunch hour, but parking was typically difficult. On this occasion a car had just departed and I found a spot, so in I went. The order counter had their specials up front and center - Nice, makes it easy on us first - timers. I ordered the lunch special; chicken sandwich, salad or fries (salad for me) and 24 oz soda. Total price with tax was $8.77. The salad was great, lots of variety and when I had chosen teh bleu cheese dressing the lady at the food order counter asked me if I wanted crumbled bleu on it. I have been here couple of times and they have yet to disappoint. I came yesterday for lunch and almost passed them up for another place and I'm glad I trusted my gut! The meat is so flavorful and atmosphere fun. I love the Hawaiian burger I believe it's called? Or the Big Kahuna . It has a thick slice of pineapple and enough teriyaki sauce to compliment the meat without overdoing it. The staff is friendly and attentive! My favorite place to eat dinner with my husband. we have been coming to Earls every Friday night the past 2/3 weeks and we love it!! The girls working up front are so sweet and make killer milkshakes! The one taking our order was so nice and polite Food came out fast and hot! Delicious burgers!! Our server came and brought us our food, she was so nice and just so cute. She came to check up on us later and was very polite when we had spilled out milkshake! Highly recommend coming here on Friday nights (the 2 girls that work together are amazing) I will have to catch there names next time. Based on the reviews, I could not wait to come here and eat a burger. I may be the only person that feels this way but it just wasn't anything special. It was just a burger I could have cooked at home. It wasn't especially moist. It didn't have any special seasoning. We got the big earl' s burger and the kobe beef burger. I couldn't tell the difference between either. We also got an order of cajun. The fries are very thin and looked really good but they were over cooked and therefore hard. The icing on the cake were the flies that attacked us the entire time we ate. I left the majority of my burger there. I will not return. read more

The 1-star rating is specifically for the beef hamburger patty. Everything else about this place is 5-star. Staff is always friendly, way cool building, and have you seen the old volleyball courts? They did a super job in redoing it into a more usable space for everyone. The fries are great as are the rings and chicken breasts. This place is better than the burger patties they serve. They appear to be frozen patties cooked on a flat top. I've had that feeling for years when I ordered single burgers that were usually covered in BBQ sauce and onion rings or teriyaki and pineapple. I recently went with a basic burger and made it a triple. To my displeasure I realized the toppings on the single burgers had masked the flawed patty. Nothing hiding the triple I had and they were flavorless and dry. I really like this place, but I hope they upgrade the beef to a higher quality like everything else this place has to offer. read more
