Looking through the reviews before I decided to take the kids here one Thursday night and I was worried about getting out in a reasonable amount of time. Turns out, our service seemed to differ drastically from the chief complaints on here. We live within a couple of miles and had tried most of the offerings in the area, just hadn't made it by here yet. We were greeted and seated fairly promptly. Our server took our drink order quickly and answered any questions we had about the menu and the current specials (Thursday is 1/2 off boneless wings). Kids ordered their stuff off the kids menu with minor customization allowed (cheeseburger instead of hamburger) and wife and I ordered the boneless wings with sides. Food came out fairly quick with no issues on accuracy. Here's the thing with boneless wings...most are just a new name for somebody's chicken nuggets. I've had them at several wing places over the years and almost always regret doing so in lieu of "real" wings. These were good enough to make me reconsider. The were very lightly breaded and HUGE. With the 1/2 off pricing, wife and I only ate about half our orders (with help from the daughter) and had plenty to take for lunch the next day. We'd tried four different flavors, including a lemon pepper dry rub with no complaints. Service was attentive throughout. No issues getting the check in a timely manner. We were in/out in the same amount of time as any other sit-down restaurant in the area. Well this was our first time visiting and will be our last. The service was terrible, slow and made the atmosphere a 1 star. What a let down! I've been excited for something to move into this space for a while, but was extremely disappointed after going here last night. I am a big wing eater (maybe too much), this place is awesome. Trinity was our waitress and she was on point. Sounds like there were some past bad behaviors but service and food is really good. Pretty gosh darn awesome!!!! It was our first time here. The Wings were amazing we got 20 boneless wings hot, hot garlic, teriyaki, and mango habanero. They were all of a very good size and cooked to perfection. Moist and tender in the inside with a light crunchy crust. We also got their waffle fries with cheese and pulled pork. The one star mirrors my immeasurable disappointment, I ordered the $8 Wednesday hickory burger... it was anything but hickory, it was TRICKERY. Not to mention the $9 fried Oreos which should be called pooreos, it was straight batter couldn't even see/taste the cookie. The burger was beyond well done with an immense amount of school lunch bbq sauce along with what I would think to be is an entire raw onion in the midst of my "burger," the ice cream tasted worse than any other I've ever had, it should've been vanilla ice cream, but it was more bleach/fabuloso esque flavored. Yesterday we ordered delivery from Big City Wings only to receive a call at the time my food should be arriving at my door telling me they cannot honor the special I ordered because it wasn't available that particular day. They offered to gladly charge me twice as much for the same meal. The young lady on the phone said it was corporate who controls what's available to order online. The boneless swings were very good and my wings were overcooked a little bit and arrived warm. It was OK with me that they were just warm because I didn't have to wait for them to cool off before I started eating. I definitely think they were sitting under a heat lamp before sauce was put on them and they were brought to me. The food was pretty decent but the service was so-so. After watching our waitress walk by several times and then hang out at the front register with the other waitstaff, I finally stopped the guy that was waiting on the table behind us and asked him to refill our drinks. I have tried to give this place a chance multiple times but the service is absolutely horrible during lunch and the food is either hit or miss. I sit and wait another 20 minutes and still no food and no sign of her, by this time my lunch is basically over and I never even got a celery stick. Another waitress sees me and asks if I am OK, I tell her the situation and explain that I need to leave now because my lunch is over. She says oh hold on let me go see what is going on and I tell her, no you don't understand....my lunch is over and I am leaving. I left without even seeing any food to try and eat so I can't tell you how the quality of it was. I will never go back here again. We have not been to Big City Wings in a very long time because of the very poor service and the not so great food and it being dirty. Yesterday we tried it again and we were extremely happy! Our waitress Ashley was great, she came and took our order within minutes of us sitting down and was always checking on us to see if there was anything we needed. The food came out quick and was delicious. The manager came out and spoke with us after eating which I thought was nice and asked our opinion on how our service was.
